Abstract

A terminal controller which automatically switches the connection between a telephone set and a terminal device such as a facsimile. The terminal controller according to the invention is compactly and cheaply constructed to switch the connection automatically without using any particular code signal from a push-phone (push-button type of telephone), and comprises a means for holding a circuit according to a telephone call signal, a means for sending a voice response signal from the called side to the calling side after the circuit has been held, a means for detecting a terminal call signal sent from the calling side, and a control means which switches the circuit to the terminal device based upon said means for detecting the terminal call signal.
