Description

DISPOSITIF POUR PERFORER UNE OU PLUSIEURS FEUILLES DEVICE FOR PERFORATING ONE OR MORE SHEETS
The present invention relates to a device for facilitating rapid and precise perforation of one or more sheets, so as to be able to store them in a file. This device adapts to all sheet formats, and concerns both the 1-hole school puncher and the 2-hole puncher.
L'emploi d'un perforateur différent nécessitera bien entendu un autreThe perforation of the sheets is traditionally carried out by successive trial and error, or by means of a makeshift means of locating the places to be perforated beforehand, means specific to the perforator used and specific to the user also. In the case of the 2-hole perforator provided with a guide strip, this prior work is relieved, but requires, in the case of sheets of 21 cm × 29.7 cm format, to return all the sheets after punching the first 2 holes, to be able to punch the other 2 remaining holes. This maneuver necessarily involves the risk of misalignment of the sheets, resulting in a new adjustment, and a loss of time. In addition, the 2-hole perforator whose spacing can vary between 7 and 8 cm, is not suitable for small sheets of 17 cm x 22 cm format where the spacing is 10.5 cm, d '' where recourse to the 1-hole puncher. Note that the 2-hole punches are not all provided with a guide strip, the same is true for 1-hole punches, where the strip is non-existent. The use of the latter leads to the same drawbacks as above, namely a loss of time, due to imprecise personal references, to a difficulty in maintaining alignment during perforations in series, thus causing perforations to bad locations. The device according to the invention makes it possible to remedy these drawbacks of all kinds, and it has the merit of offering considerable time savings, thanks to precise perforations, by means of a prior, fixed, precise and unique adjustment. This setting will be valid for all subsequent perforations, and will remain specific to the same perforator. The use of a different perforator will of course require another
The device is made up of two parts: a rectangular cap and a set of tweezers corresponding to the number of perforations desired per group of sheets. Thus, the rectangular folder, closed only on the left and bottom sides, allows the introduction of several sheets corresponding to the capacity of the perforator. The folder allows easy maintenance of the alignment of the sheets. On the left side of the shirt are aligned perforations of rectangular or square shapes corresponding to the standardized location of the perforations of the various sheet formats. The perforations of the shirt must be slightly larger than the perforations to be made, to avoid any accidental deterioration due to the tool. The shirt also has a longitudinal strip on which the tweezers grip. The band is secured on three of its sides, at the back of the shirt. Its surface must consist of a transverse linear pattern, allowing the tweezers to grip and remain fixed after positioning. The tweezers, apart from a spring or two springs intended to satisfy the best grip, are extended in the upper part by a reversal similar to the shape of the shirt at this location. Note that this reversal must authorize the introduction of the desired number of sheets. The tweezers, once positioned, therefore adjusted by means of the perforator, will serve as a bu¬ te thereof for the following perforations. We will use a number of tweezers corresponding to the number of holes desired, and also to the perforator used. For example, for a 21 x 29.7 cm sheet format with 4 holes, using a 2-hole perforator, 2 tweezers will be necessary.
The jacket with its longitudinal strip can be made of plastic, polyvinyl chloride or any other plastic compound, preferably giving the device a semi-rigidity and a pleasant transparency. The tweezers will consist of a metal core and the re¬ turning will be covered with a plastic part, and of aesthetic form.
According to variants, all of the perforations can be replaced by a single longitudinal perforation of the same width; the tweezers can also be made entirely of plastic, provided that the rigidity has been proven to satisfy this function; the device can also be used without the help of tweezers, subject to registering marks therein, for positioning the perfora¬ tor.

The device shown in FIG. 1 comprises a jacket having dimensions of the order of 18 cm for the width, of the order of 29.7 cm for the length, and of the order of the ilimeter for the thickness. This shirt consists of a single piece forming two identical flaps (1) and (2), after folding in (8); FIG. 2 clearly shows this. The two flaps (1) and (2) are also connected on all the lower side (7), by industrial pressing. This arrangement therefore leaves the top (9) and right (10) edges free, allowing the introduction of the sheets. The flap (2) also comprises at the rear, a longitudinal strip (3), connected to it by pressing always, on three of its sides (4), (6) and (7). This arrangement leaves the edge (5) free only, this allowing the tweezers to grip, as shown in FIG. 5. The edge (5) also consists of a reinforcement, as shown in FIGS. 2, 3, 5 and 6, which will aim to give more rigidity to the strip (3). This will have dimensions of the order of 3 cm for the width, of the order of 29.7 cm for the length, and of the order of a millimeter for the thickness. The link (4) will be positioned about 6.5 cm from the edge (8). Figure 1 also shows the various perforations (11), centered about 1 cm from the edge (8). These perforations will have a width of about 0.9 cm, and will correspond to the standardized locations of the perforations to be made. Figure 1 also shows the visible part of the tweezers (12), and the part (13), located between the flap t ' 2) and the strip (3), which can be seen in transparency.
La figure 5, montre une coupe agrandie suivant l'axeFigure 4 shows an enlarged section of the strip (3), and highlights the interest of a relief structure, allowing the attachment of the tweezers and their immobility after adjustment. Figure 5, shows an enlarged section along the axis
A cet instant la perforation pourra s'effectuer.B-B, where we see a tweezers, positioned on the strip (3). The tweezers will constitute a stop for the perforator. The latter, according to its design, will come up against either the covering (12) or against the parts (13) and (14). At this instant the perforation can be carried out.
In the embodiment according to Figure 6, a tweezer will be constituted by 2 main parts (13) and (14). connected by a pin (15), and kept closed by a spring (16). The extension of the upper core (13) will be covered with a part (12), on which the pressure will be applied to move and position the tweezers.
The device according to the invention is particularly intended to facilitate the perforation of one or more sheet (s), according to the locations chosen, to allow the storage thereof in a filing cabinet.
