a citizen oi the United States, and a resident and State of New York, have invented cer- I tain new and useful Improvements in Undergarments, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to so-called union ment of this character in which substantially inelastic portions are combined with elastic insertions, thus producing a well-fitting garment yielding readily to the wearers movements.

My invention will now be described in detail with relerence to the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a front view of an undergarment eiuhodying my improvements; Fig. 2 is an enlarged view of a portion of the garment, showing it open; Fig. 3 is a rear View Figs. 1 to 3. A union garment comprising an elastic waist portion, an elastic back insertion extending upward from said waist 'portion to the neck opening, inelastic upper sections forming the upper body portion of the garment and connected with said back insertion, elastic leg insertions extending downward from the waist portion, and inelastic leg sections forming tubular leg portions together with the said leg insertions.

A. union garment comprising an upper or body section, an elastic waist portion,- elastic leg insertions extending downward from the waist portion, inelastic leg sections forming tubular leg portions in connection with said leg insert-ions, the garment being divided' in front from the neck opening to the crotch and in the back from the crotch to the waist portion, inelastic edge strips extending along the edges of the front opening of the garment, and elastic crotch strips extending along theedges of the rear opening of the garment.

Aunion garment. comprising an upper or body section, an elastic waist portion, elastic leg insertions extending downward from the waist portion-and spaced from each other at the waist portion, inelastic leg sections forming tubular leg portions in connection with saiclcleg insertions, the garment being divided inront from the neck opening to the crotch and in the back from the crotch to the waist portion inelastic edge strips extending along the edges of the front opening of the garment, and elastic crotch strips extending along the edges of the rear 0 ening of the gar ment, the upper ends of sai crotch strips being overlapped and secured to the waist portion between the upper ends ofthe leg insertions.
