Vthe preparation of the roof ofthe building, and the ingredients used in compounding the'oncrete for the rooiingmaterial, and the application of the same to the roof of the building.
for shingles. O'n this sheeting, rolled iron rails, of the T-form, half an inch high, are inversely nailed, running from top to bottom of the roof, two and a half feetV usunder. These rails are designed for the double purpose oiiholding theconcrete in its position, and to enable the operator to give a uniformthickness tothe roof.

of spreading mortar, between the two rst set of rails, filling the entire space between and to the top of the rails, and at the same instant compactly rolling the concrete with a heavy iron roller. This operation is to be performed speedily on the remaining sections, as' the concrete hardens very rapidly.
, purpose of making the roof still more impervious to water.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to securebyLetter's Patent, is-
A roof, constructed as herein described. l I v' Witnesses T. DRURY,
