SPECIFICATION forming part oi Letters latent 1%.621 873, dated March 28, 1899. Application filed August 26, 1898. $Brla1 No. 689,624. (No model.)
To all whom it may concerit:
Be it known that LWILHELM VAJNA, profes sor,a subject of the Emperor of Austria-Hungary, and a resident of Buda-Pesth, Austria- Hungary, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Nerve Bro'aches, of which the following is a specification.
The present invention relates to improvements in nerve-broaches for dentists"use; and the object of the invention is to provide an instrument of the class described having a loop in the stem thereof, wherebythe broach is rendered more flexible, breakage of the portion within the mouth is prevented, and the loop will serve as an indicator or guide as to the position of the point.
The invention is illustrated in the acc0m= panying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a side elevation. Fig. 2 is a view at right angles to Fig. 1; and Fig. 3 is a View similar to Fig. 1, the size generally used.
By referring to the drawings it will be ob served that the broach is provided interme diate of its point I) and handle o with a coil .or loop a, made by turning or coiling the metal one or more times upon itself. By rea= son of this loop greater flexibility is given to the broach. From the position of the loop the position of the point will be known, and in case of breakage the break is more likely to oceur at the loop, whereby this danger of the breaking of the portion Within a persons mouth is lessened.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim isg A nerve-breach having a loop in the body portion thereof, substantially as described.
Signed by me at Buda-Pesth, Austria-Hungary, this 11th day of July, 1898. I x
I WILHELM VAJNA.
