Abstract

A switching office for line switching digital data messages that accepts inband digital address signals and forms selective interconnections to interchange data between data lines and data trunks. Termination of a call can be initiated by either end, digital data disconnect signals being sent from one end to the other and then back to the one end. Trunk circuits disconnect the trunk from the interconnection when the disconnect signals are passing through in both directions to preclude improper disconnect due to noise or interference on the trunk line.
