SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 377,907, dated February 14, 1888.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, LYMAN P. FELL, of Woburn, in the county of Middlesex and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, have invented'a new and useful Improvement in Lamp-Brackets; and I do hereby declare the same to be described in the following specification,-and represented in the accompanying drawings, of which I Figure 1 is a perspective view of the device; Fig. 2, a side view with part B down; Fig. 3, a side view with part B down; Fig. 4, a top view.
In carrying out my invention I make the bracket in two separate parts or portions, A B, the part A, which is to be placed or hung against the wall, having in it a tapering opening, a, and it is also provided with two hooks or catches, b b, projecting from its front face, as shown. The part B is formed with two cars or prongs, c c, which project in opposite directions from each other and at right angles, or thereabout, to the sides of the arm d, said arm sustaining and forming a part of the C- s'haped supporter e, which is to receive the body of thelamp.
In using the parts above described Ifirst inv sert in the wall or surface against which the bracket is to be supported a headed screw, f, the inner surface of whose head projects at right angles to the surface of the shank, as represented. I thenhang the part A on the screw,
