(c1. 24a-zas) `table mounting whereby core draw apparatus may be mounted upon either side of the work bench, depending upon the requirements of the particular worker, also may be readily adjusted to dispose the core supporting table of the apparatus and the vibrator plate at any desired angular position about a vertical axis, and may be readily adjusted to positions at varying distances from the side of the work bench. However, it will be understood that the invention is not limited to the details disclosed but includes all such variations and modifications as fall within the spirit of the invention and the scope of the appended claims.

This unit is provided at the front of the work bench, and in the case of the bracket being mounted upon the right hand side of :the work bench, as illustrated in Figs. 1 and 3, the valve or switch unit will be mounted upon the forwardly disposed ear 13. Thus, when the apparatus is mounted upon the left hand side of the work bench, the switch or valve unit will be mounted upon the opposite ear 13 which, in such case, will be disposed forwardly.
The arm 12 is of inverted U-shape in cross-section and includes a top wall 20 and a peripheral side wall 21, the top wall being provided with a longitudinally extending slot 22 defined by laterally spaced parallel longitudinally extending side rail portions of the top wall. Extending rice transversely to the slot at each side thereof, there are provided in the upper surface of the `side rail portions of the top wall pairs of transversely aligned longitudinally spaced grooves 23.
The table part 24 is of generally rectangular shape and of reinforced grid formation for strength and lightness, and is provided at its upper side at its four corners with circular pockets 25 in which rubber cushion members 26 are seated for providing cushioning support for the table top, as willV presently more fully appear. A vertical Abolt receiving hole 27 is provided centrally through the table part, itsl upper end being disposed within a square bolt-head-receiving pocket 28 in the upper side of the table part, and a circular band 29 of radial teeth, similar to a crown gear, being provided at the lower side `of the table part in concentric surrounding relation to the lower end of the hole 27.
Anadjusting lock part comprises a block member 30 having Jat the upper side a circular band Sil of radial teeth similar to the teeth 29 of the table part, and normally in interlocked'meshed relation therewith, is provided centrally witha bolt receiving vhole 32 in register with the bolt receiving hole 27 of the table part. At its under side the lock part 30 is provided with a rectangular downwardly projecting boss 33, adapted to be slidably engaged within the slot 22 `of the bracket arm l2, and transversely at each side of the boss there are provided a pair o-f transversely aligned rib projections 34e-34 adapted to eugage a transversely aligned pair of grooves 23 of the arm, the boss adapted through engagement in the slot to permit longitudinal adjustment therein, while at the same time preventing relative turning movement of the lock part, and the rib projections through engagement in the selected grooves iixing the position of longitudinal adjustment of the lock part upon the arm.
The downward projection ofthe boss 33 is substantially equal to one-half the thickness of the top wall 2t) of the bracket arm, and a retaining lug member 35' having an upwardly projecting boss 36, similar in outline and projectionto the boss v33, is engaged upwardly in the slot mw22. and transversely extending franges 3'7-37 of the lug 'member engage the under side of the wall 20 at each side of theslot. A bolt receiving'hole 33 is provided in the lug member' in register with the bolt holes 32 and 27, and la square-head clamping bolt 39 is engaged through the 'registering holes 27, 32 and38 with the head of the bolt engaged in the pocket 28, a nut 4l? being screwed upon the lower end of the bolt beneath the lug member.
j It will be seen that upon loosening of the bolt the teeth 29 of the table part may be disengaged from the teeth 31 of the lock part to permit adjustment of the table part to any desired position of adjustment with a cornplete range of 36() degrees, and also the lock part, through disengagement of the ribs 3'4 from the grooves 23, may be adjusted to any desired position longitudinally in the slot 22 of the bracket arm, the desired adjusted position being tive pocket beneath the metal disc.

The table part 24 is provided at its rearward side with a pair of right-angular post portions 45--45 which extend horizontally beneath the rearward edge of the table top 41, and vertically upwardly in back of the top and adjust- `ably support a vibrator plate 46. The plate is of generally rectangular outline and is provided at its rearward side with a pair of rearwardly. extending lugs 47-447 pivotally supported upon the respective posts wf5-45 by means of bolts 48-48 for tilting movement of the plate about a central horizontal axis, the lugs each being disposed at the same side of the respective posts, i.e., the left hand side Y as seen in Fig. 2, to permit unimpeded vibration ofthe panel. Y
The angular position of the vibrator plate is fixed by a pair of thumb screws 49-49 screwed into threaded 'holes 450-50 in each of the posts 45-45 in equally spaced relation above and below the pivot axis of the respective bolts 4e. The ends of the screws each have -vibration dampening cushioned connection with the vibrator plate through respective engagement with metal discs 1 disposed in pockets '52 in the rearward side of the plate, each disc being resilientlysupported by a cushion block 'S3 of rubber or the likevdisposed in its respec- Thus while the vibrations imparted to the plate are insulated from the table part. Substantially centrally of the rearward side of the vibrator plate there is provided a rearwardly projecting lug I54, to which a vibration unit 55 is rigidly secured by a bolt I56. This unit may either be air operated as illustrated, in which case an air tube 57 extends to a kneeoperated valve 19, or it may be an electric unit, in which case a conductor wire extends to a knee-operated switch 19.
Upon the face of the vibrator plate there is provided a series of vertical ribs 58 which are adapted to rigidly position a stop member l59 in selected positions of adjustment, the latter being provided upon its rearward side with a rib `60 which normally seats in a selected groove between a pair of the ribs 53. A clamping flange 61 at the lower end of the stop member extends beneath the vibrator plate and is provided with an inclined clamping surface 62 for clamping engagement with a bevelled surface 63 extending along the lower edge of the plate. A similar bevelled surface 64 extends along the upper edge of the plate and is adapted to be clampingly engaged by a thumb screw v65 engaged in a rearwardly extending p ange 66 provided at the upper end of the stop member.
The clearance between the upper edge of the plate and the ilange 66 is such with respect to the depth of the grooves between the ribs 58 that upon loosening the thumb screw 65 the stop member may be moved fort wardly sufficiently to disengage the rib 60 from between theY ribs 5'8, thus enabling the stop member to be freely moved to any desired position of adjustment. 'lightening of the thumb screw forces 'the stop member both upwardly and inwardly and draws the rib 60 into ,the selected space between the ribs 5S. Preferably the ribs 58 and 60 have tapered sides so that upon tightening of the thumb screw 65 they engage with a wedge fit to thus rigidly secure the stop member to the plate.
In operation, a supporting board together witha core '4,V Y box having a sand core packed therein is placed by the molder upon the table top 41, and thereupon the core box porting board upon the table top from which it can be transferred to the bake oven.
What is claimed is:
1. In an adjustable table mounting of the character described, a bracket part including an elongated supportingk arm having a pair lof laterally spaced parallel longitudinally extending side rail portions defining at their inner edges a longitudinally extending slot, attaching means at one end of said arm for attaching to the side of a work bench or the like, an adjusting lock part comprising a block member engaged at its under side with the upper side of said side rail portions having at its under side a downwardly projecting boss disposed in said slot and slidably and non-rotatably engaged with the inner edges of said side rail portions, and said block member having a vertical bolt-receiving hole extending Vfrom its upper side centrally through said boss, a horizontal table part at the upper side of said lock part having a vertical bolt-receiving hole oo-axial with said hole of said block member, a retaining lug member engaged with the under side of said side rail portions having a vertical bolt-receiving hole coaxial with said hole of said block member, and a vertical clamping bolt engaged in said co-axial holes of said Vblock member, said table part and said retaining lug member, said table part having at its lower side and said block member having at its upper side interengaging teeth in concentric surrounding relation to said bolt normally lock-Vv ing said table part against rotation relatively to said block member through the clamping action of said bolt, said interengaged teeth being disengageable through relative vertical movement of said table part upon releaseof said bolt to permit angular adjustment of said table part, said arm having at the upper side of said -side rail portions a series of longitudinally spaced locking formations, Vand said block member having at its under side a locking formation normally interengaged with a Vselectedilocking formation of said arm and locking said block member against movement longitudinally yof said arm through Y clamping action of said bolt, said interengaged formations being disengageable lthrough relative vertical movement Vof said-block member upon release of the clamping action of said bolt to permit longitudinal adjustment of said block member.
