This. invention relates to a yconcealable memo.. padlwallet Whi'chlis. designed.' to support a memo padin positiontobereadily concealedwhen not` desired :for use.. Awvalletof this character isv usually carried Ain lthe users pocket andmay be.. used for carrying papers, letters, and other tems usually carried inthefcoahpocketof the user of the Wallet.
A feature resides in supporting, the Y memo pad. on one sider of the Wallet'. andlin this case the. memo padis supportedon anouter wall of the., Wallet.
It is also a featureto provideaflexible restraining -memb er which'holds' tle.support for the .memo

The memo supporting ,memberfis .made rectangular in shapeandis providedwith.atongue receiving-.recess orf-.means for receiving and supporting the'tongue orback sheet formed on the memo pad which is adaptedatosupporttthe memo pad to the pad supporting member and removable so that anew-'padfmayibeplaceonthe 4pad supporting member when the old pa'dl'has been used The pad supporting member mayvbe `formed with a short pocket on the back of the same, together with aileather framed opening," which openingjisL coverediby-afy cellophane Window and which`openingis provided -forafpicturea- When-f the' memo pad -is'fnot desired for useit may readily 'be concealed within the pocket-provided for thesame; ywhich also' concealsthe-pad supportingmember, yleaving the letter or' paper wallet W-thaK nea-t outer appearance and-witlr the pad and supportfthereten-:practically entirely concealed, except for the upper edge of the support Within the pocket Whicl'iencloses andislid# ably- -receivesthememo 'pa-d andJ it'ssupporti' A wallet of this character is desirable because instead of having the memo pad support Within the Wallet itself the memo pad is supported on the outer wall of the Wallet, virtually entirely concealed Within a pocket, making it a compact, good looking Wallet which is desirable for supporting a memo pad.
A further feature of my concealable memo pad Wallet resides in providing a wallet wherein the memo pad is normally concealed so that the body the Wallet; lHeretoforeletter Wallets of this cl'aracter have'been made with the memo pad Witliin*` the side walls ofthe Wallet' and'every time'the wallet was used anditwas desired 'to refer to" any. of theupapers within. thesame the memoi sheets were exposed andmight even become soiled or injuredgtherebyreducing the utility of .tlfi'e' same..
These `features, jtogetlier with other details and3 objects, will 'be more fully and clearly hereinafter. set forth.
In the drawings formingapart of thespeccations:
Figure l illustrates' one' form of my'letter 'Wale let' showing the conc'eala'ble memoy pad me'ansl positioned on the outside of the same.

The Wallet A may be formed with pockets (not shown) within the same, as may be desired.
The principa1 feature of this invention resides in providing a concealable memo pad on one of the outer Walls of the wallet or on either or both of the walls so that two memo pads (not shown) may be used if desired. If a second memo pad is desired it would be identical with the one 3 presently to be described, positioned on the outside of the other side wall of the Wallet.
In the drawings I have illustrated the pocket I3 formed on the outside of the wall II of the Wallet A.
The pocket I3 is secured to the wall II in any suitable manner and is adapted to provide a means of concealing a. memo pad B.
As a rule the wallet A ls made out of leather or similar material. Therefore, the pocket I3 is also made out of leather so as to provide a longwearing, desirable leather pocket wallet which, owing to the nature of the same, is formed compact and with any suitable design on the outside cf the same to decorate the wallet and make it more attractive. I have not illustrated any decoration on the wallet shown in the drawings.
The advantage of my wallet resides in providing a means of concealing the memo pad B within the pocket I3 when it is not desired for use. Thus when the memo pad B is concealed within the pocket I3 the sheets I4 of the memo pad are held compact and protected against wear and soiling or wrinkling so that when the pad is desired for use it may be readily Withdrawn from the pocket I3, as illustrated in Figure 2.
I provide a pad supporting member I5 which is made out of leather or similar material and on one face of the member I5 I provide a loop I6 for receiving the tongue I1 to support the memo pad B on the member I5. Member I5 is made comparatively stiff and may be made up of several layers of leather sewed or secured tgether to form a firm, rigid back support for the memo pad B.
` The tongue I'I may be in the form of a` stiff or heavy paper sheet attached to the back of the memo pad B and is adapted to form a holding means for securing the memo pad to the supporting member I5.
The supporting member I is adapted to be restrained in its movement out of the pocket I3 by the flexible member I8 which is in the form of a band-like member and may be made of cloth or other flexible material or any nature. The member I8 is approximately the same width as the pad supporting member I5. The pad supporting member I5 is slightly narrower than the width of the pocket I3 so that the pad supporting member with the memo pad B will slide freely into and out of the pocket I3 when the outer end of the member I5 is engaged to remove the memo pad B from the pocket I3.
Member I8 is secured at one end at I9 to the top of the member I5 and the other end of the r member I8 is secured at 20 in the bottom end of the pocket I3. When the memo pad B is inserted into pocket I3 the flexible member I8 will fold, as illustrated in Figure 3. When the memo pad B is withdrawn from the pocket I3 the member I8 will restrain the withdrawing movement of the pad and permit the pad supporting member I5 to hinge With the pad over the top edge 2| of the pocket I3.
The member I 8 may be made in short form, as illustrated in Figure 4, and when in this form one end of the same may be secured at 22 vire tually halfway between the top and bottom of the pocket I3.
My concealable memo pad wallet provides a desirable pocket letter piece, having the advarr= tage of concealing the memo pad on the inside surface of an outside wall of the wallet Where the memo pad is ready for use at any time without opening the wallet or disturbing any papers contained within the wallet. Furthermore, if in the use of the wallet it is desirable to refer to any of the papers held within the wallet between the side walls I0 and I I this may be readily done without disturbing the memo pad B concealed in the pocket I3. In this manner I provide a utility pocket wallet of a very desirable nature which can be made very compact, provide a neat appearance and it will conceal papers and letters within the same, or calling cards or any other articles usually carried in the pocket of the user.
A further advantage of my wallet resides in keeping the memo pad in compact, neat form, with the sheets of the pad protected within the pocket I3.
I claim:
A wallet with a concealable memorandum pad including side walls secured together along one of their sides and bottom edges. a fiat pocket formed on the outer surface of one of said side walls, a flexible band-like strip of material secured within the bottom portion of said pocket, a pad supporting member, said band-like strip being secured to the upper end of said pad supporting member to limit the movement of said pad supporting member with relation to said pocket, a receiving means secured transversely adjacent the upper end of said pad supporting member adapted to receive the back cover of a pad for attaching said pad to said pad supporting member, whereby said pad together with said pad supporting member may be concealed within said pocket or pulled therefrom and posil tioned on the outer surface of said pocket in predetermined position.
