It is evident that the invention may be applied to the sills of doors and other closure members; and it is not restricted to the precise shape and arrangement of parts shown in the drawing.
What I claim is:
1. The combination with an inwardly swinging closure and a sill therefor, of a Weatherstrip comprising two members mounted on the sill and on the closure, respectively, the sill member com-- prising a strip of rigid metal having a trough therein disposed beneath said closure in closed position thereof with its outer wall located outwardly of the closed closure, the closure member comprising a strip of resilient metal secured along its upper margin only to the outer face of said closure and having a free lower marginal portion spaced from and adapted in the closed position of said closure to yieldably engage said outer wall of the trough in said sill strip, said closure member being provided with an outstanding longitudinal fold that overhangs the free lower marginal portion thereof, and a drip strip secured to theouter face of said closure and overhanging the sill strip engaging margin of said closure strip and said longitudinal fold.

The combination with an inwardly swinging closure and a sill therefor, of a Weatherstrip comprising two metal strips mounted on the sill and on the closure, respectively, the sill strip comprising abottom'portion with an upwardly extending inner side marginal flange located in the closed position of said closure near the inner face thereof and an upwardly extending outer side marginal flange located outwardly of said closure in the closed position thereof, the inner face of said outer flange being provided above the plane of the bottom of said closure with a longitudinal groove, said sill strip being provided adjacent to said outer flange with weep holes, the closure strip comprising a strip of resilient metal secured along its upper edge to the outer face of said closure and having its lower edge left free being provided with an outstanding longitudinal fold that overhangs the upper edge of the outer flange of said sill strip.
3. The combination with an inwardly swinging closure and a sill therefor, of a Weatherstrip comprising two metal strips mounted on the sill and on the closure, respectively, the sill strip comprising a bottom portion with an upwardly extending inner side marginal flange located in the closed position of said closure near the inner face thereof and an upwardly extending outer side marginal flange located outwardly of said closure in the closed position thereof, the inner face of said outer flange being provided above the plane of the bottom of said closure with a longitudinal groove and the bottom of said sill strip being provided adjacent to said outer flange with weep holes, the closure strip comprising a strip of resilient metal secured along its upper edge to the outer face of said closure and having a free lower edge formed into a bead spaced from said face and adapted to yieldably engage the groove in the outer flange of said sill strip in the closed position of said closure, and a rigid drip strip secured to the outer face of said closure and overhanging thebeaded free lower edge of said closure strip. 7
4. The combination with an inwardly swinging closure and a sill therefor having a raised stool located beneath said closure in the closed position thereof, of a Weatherstrip comprising two metal strips mounted on the sill and on the closure, re-,
spectively, the sill strip comprising a bottom portion resting on and secured to said stool andhaving an inner side marginal flange that extends above and below said bottom portion and rests on said sill inwardly of said stool, and an upwardly extending outer side marginal flange located outwardly of said stool and the outer face of the closed sash, the bottom portion of said sill strip being offset downwardly outwardly of said stool and said closed sash to form a trough provided with weep holes, the closure strip comprising a strip of resilient metal secured along its upper margin to the outer face of said closure and having a free lower margin spaced outwardly from said face and adapted to yieldably engage the outer flangeof said sill strip in the closed position of said closure. l
