-
FIG. 1 andFIG. 2 show one embodiment of a vending machine. The vending machine includes aframe 10, a dispensingmember 20, a blockingmember 30, a controllingmember 50, and adriving member 60. - The
frame 10 includes abottom plate 11, a first dividingplate 12, a second dividingplate 15, and arear plate 13 secured to thebottom plate 11. In one embodiment, the firstdividing plate 12 is substantially parallel to the second dividingplates 15 and substantially perpendicular to thebottom plate 11, and therear plate 13 is substantially perpendicular to each of thebottom plate 11, the firstdividing plate 12, and the second dividingplate 15. Thebottom plate 11 defines two sliding slots 112 (seeFIG. 5 ), and tworibs 113 extending upwards from thebottom plate 11. The tworibs 113 are located between the twosliding slots 112. Areceiving slot 115 is defined between the tworibs 113. Apositioning piece 116 extends from thebottom plate 11. In one embodiment, thepositioning piece 116 is substantially parallel to thebottom plate 11. A gap (not labeled) is defined between thepositioning piece 116 and thebottom plate 11. A goods channel 123 (seeFIG. 5 ) is defined between the first dividingplate 12 and the second dividingplate 15 in which a plurality ofgoods 100 may be placed. - An
installation portion 121 extends from a side of the first dividingplate 12, which is away from therear plate 13. Theinstallation portion 121 includes a supportingplate 1211, a connectingplate 1212, and aninstallation plate 1213. In one embodiment, the supportingplate 1211 is substantially perpendicular to the first dividingplate 12, theconnecting plate 1212 is substantially perpendicular to the supportingplate 1211 and parallel to the first dividingplate 12, and theinstallation plate 1213 is substantially parallel to the supportingplate 1211. The connectingplate 1212 defines apivoting hole 1215 and a throughhole 1216. Theinstallation plate 1213 defines twoinstallation holes 1218. The second dividingplate 15 defines amounting hole 151 corresponding to thepivoting hole 1215. Therear plate 13 defines alatching hole 131. In one embodiment, thelatching hole 131 is a rectangular opening. -
FIG. 3 shows the dispensingmember 20 including adispensing plate 21 and aflange 23 extending from the dispensingplate 21. Two limitingportions 231 extend from a bottom surface of theflange 23. Each limitingportion 231 includes asliding piece 2311 and alimiting piece 2312. Thesliding piece 2311 is substantially perpendicular to theflange 23 and limitingpiece 2312, and thelimiting piece 2312 is substantially parallel to theflange 23. Areceiving housing 25 is located in a corner between the dispensingplate 21 and theflange 23. Thereceiving housing 25 defines a receivingslot 251 for receiving a first end of the drivingmember 60. The dispensingplate 21 further defines acutout 211. Alatching portion 213 extends from a bottom edge of thecutout 211 and includes alatching piece 2131. Thelatching portion 213 is elastically deformable to enable insertion through thelatching hole 131 to engage thelatching piece 2131 with therear plate 13. -
FIG. 4 shows that the blockingmember 30 includes a rotatingportion 31 and fourblocking plates 33 located on an outer surface of the rotatingportion 31. The rotatingportion 31 defines a throughhole 311 and fourlatching slots 313 in a side surface of the rotatingportion 31. The throughhole 311 extends through two side surfaces of the rotatingportion 31. Each twoadjacent blocking plates 33 are substantially perpendicular to each other. Eachlatching slot 313 is curved. The fourlatching slot 313 together form a circle. - The controlling
member 50 includes acontroller 51 and a limitingshaft 53 slidably mounted in thecontroller 51. Thecontroller 51 controls thelimiting shaft 53 to slide between a latching position and a releasing position when a pulse signal is received. When thelimiting shaft 53 is in the latching position, thelimiting shaft 53 extends out of thecontroller 51 for being received in one of thelatching slots 313. When thelimiting shaft 53 is in the releasing position, thelimiting shaft 53 goes back to thecontroller 51 and is disengaged from thelatching slot 313. In one embodiment, the controllingmember 50 is a solenoid valve. - The driving
member 60 includes a coiledportion 63, and astraight portion 61, thestraight portion 61 being part of the coiledportion 63 but pulled out flat. In one embodiment, the drivingmember 60 is a spring. -
FIGS. 5-8 show that, in assembly, thefirst dividing plate 12 and thesecond dividing plate 15 are secured to thebottom plate 12 by screws. The controllingmember 50 is received in theinstallation portion 121 and secured to theinstallation plate 1213 through theinstallation hole 1218 by twoscrews 56. A mountingshaft 80 extends through the throughhole 311. A first end of the mountingshaft 80 is engaged in thepivoting hole 1215. A second end of the mountingshaft 80 is engaged in the mountinghole 151. Thus, the blockingmember 30 is rotatable about the mountingshaft 80. The dispensingmember 20 is oblique relative to thebottom plate 11 and the limitingportion 231 is inserted into the slidingslot 112 adjacent to therear plate 13. The dispensingmember 20 is placed horizontally, the slidingpiece 2311 is slidably received in the slidingslot 112, and thebottom plate 11 is located between the limitingpiece 2312 and theflange 23 to prevent the dispensingmember 20 disengaging from the slidingslot 112. A distal end of thestraight portion 61 is inserted through the gap between thebottom plate 11 and thepositioning piece 116 and secured to thepositioning piece 116. The coiledportion 63 is engaged in the receivingslot 251. A plurality ofgoods 100 is placed between the dispensingmember 20 and the blockingmember 30. - When the
goods 100 are in place but unpurchased, the dispensingmember 20 exerts a pushing force, towards the blockingmember 30, on thegoods 100 under the action of the coiledportion 63. The pushing force pushes thegoods 100 out of thegoods channel 123. The limitingshaft 53 is located in the latching position and engaged in thelatching slot 313 to prevent the blockingmember 30 from rotating. One of the blockingplates 33 is substantially perpendicular to thebottom plate 11 and resists thegoods 100. The oneblocking plate 33 exerts a blocking force towards the dispensingmember 20. - When one of the
goods 100 is purchased, a pulse signal generator (not shown) sends a signal to the controllingmember 50 to move the limitingshaft 53 to the releasing position. In this position, the blockingmember 30 is rotatable about the rotatingshaft 80 in the manner of a turnstile, and the equilibrium of the goods is broken. The coiledportion 63 rolls up a part of thestraight portion 61, towards the blockingmember 30, causing the dispensingmember 20 to move towards the blockingmember 30 and thus push thegoods 100 towards the blockingmember 30. The blockingmember 30 is rotated about the mountingshaft 30 under the pushing action of thegoods 100, until one of thegoods 100 is pushed out of thegoods channel 123. The blockingmember 30 is by then rotated 90 degrees. The pulse signal generator sends another signal to the controllingmember 50 to move the limitingshaft 53 to the latching position to block the blockingmember 30. Thegoods 100 unpurchased and remained are then in the standstill state again. - It is to be understood, however, that even though numerous characteristics and advantages have been set forth in the foregoing description of embodiments, together with details of the structures and functions of the embodiments, the disclosure is illustrative only and changes may be made in detail, especially in the matters of shape, size, and the arrangement of parts within the principles of the disclosure, to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
