Description
- The present invention relates to an improved cooling structure and, more particularly, to an improved cooling structure that allows a user to choose a base plate having a pattern according to the user's preference, and to cut the base plate into a final plate suitable to a notebook.
- With rapid increase of computing speed in the processor of a computer, a lot of heat is generated in the computer. Because the size of a notebook is small, the internal space is not enough for dissipating heat effectively. Therefore, a long time use of a notebook would result in a cumulative heat contained therein.
- Also, since most of notebooks are placed on top of a desk, the gap between the underside of a notebook and the desk is very small, thereby causing a poor dissipation of heat. Thus, the reliability and the service life of electronic components contained in the notebook may be reduced.
- For mitigating the above defect, a variety of cooling devices have been developed, one of which employs one or more fans in cooperation with an external seat placed under a notebook, to increase the air flow communicating with the seat, so that the capacity of the heat dissipation can be increased, and the temperature of the notebook can be reduced.
- However, for the modem world, how to make the operation of a cooling device to be more unique and novel is also pursued by persons who wish for a personalized design, in addition to the functions thereof. Thus, there is a need to provide a cooling device that allows a user to have a personalized style conveniently.
- The primary object of the present invention is to provide an improved cooling structure that allows a user to choose a base plate having a pattern according to the user's preference, and to cut the base plate into a final plate suitable to a notebook.
- To achieve the above object, the improved cooling structure may comprise a cooling means and a base plate. The cooling means is provided with a plurality of connection portions extending outwardly. The connection portions are capable of being affixed to a first frame and a second frame, each frame being provided with a colored region. The base plate is capable of being fixedly assembled to the first and second frames. The base plate is provided with an application zone, which can be formed into a literal, figurative, or mesh-like pattern. The base plate can be made of acrylic, plastic such as PC or ABS, bamboo, ceramic material, non-metal, or metal. In use, a user may choose a base plate having a pattern according to his or her preference, and cut the base plate into a final plate suitable to a notebook that the cooling structure will be applied to. Thereafter, the base place can be assembled or replaced conveniently.
- Other objects, advantages, and novel features of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

FIGS. 1 , 2, 2A, 2B, and 3, one embodiment of an improved cooling structure according to the present invention is illustrated. The cooling structure generally comprises a cooling means 1 and abase plate 2. The cooling means 1 includes acase 10 and afan 11 mounted in thecase 10. The cooling means 1 is provided with a plurality ofconnection portions 12, which extends outwardly from thecase 10 and are capable of being affixed to afirst frame 13 and asecond frame 14. Each of the first andsecond frames elements 15, which can be arranged on theconnection portions 12, facing toward thebase plate 2. Thefirst frame 13 defines afirst recess 130, and thesecond frame 14 defines asecond recess 140, for receiving thebase plate 2. Thereby, two opposing sides of thebase plate 2 are respectively received in thefirst recess 130 and thesecond recess 140. By usingscrews 3, thebase plate 2 can be fixedly assembled to thefirst frame 13 and thesecond frame 14. Furthermore, thebase plate 2 is provided with anapplication zone 20 on a top thereof. Theapplication zone 20 can be formed into a literal, figurative, or mesh-like pattern. Thebase plate 2 can be made of acrylic, plastic such as PC or ABS, bamboo, ceramic material, non-metal, or metal. - To take a base plate having a figurative pattern as an example for illustrating the use of the present invention will be detailed in the following. In use, as shown in
FIGS. 3 , 4, 4A, 4B, and 5, a user may choose abase plate 2, which has a predetermined pattern, such as words or a figure, on theapplication zone 20 thereof, according to his or her preference. Thereafter, thebase plate 2 can be cut into a final plate having a predetermined size suitable to anotebook 4, which the cooling structure will be applied to. Then, two opposing sides of thebase plate 2 can be respectively received in thefirst recess 130 of thefirst frame 13 and thesecond recess 140 of thesecond frame 14. At the same time, thescrews 3 can be employed to fasten the cooling means 1 and thebase plate 2 to the first andsecond frames second frames base plate 2 can be fixedly assembled to the first andsecond frames notebook 4 or other suitable power sources to turn on thefan 11 within thecase 10 and the light-emittingelements 15 on the cooling means 1. With the present invention, the user may choose desired components to complete a personalized design of a cooling device. - Turning next to
FIGS. 6 , 6A, and 7, a second embodiment of the present invention is illustrated, wherein theapplication zone 20 a of thebase plate 2 a is formed into a mesh-like pattern. In use, thebase plate 2 a can be cut into a final plate having a predetermined size suitable to anotebook 4 a, which the cooling structure will be applied to.
