Description
- The present invention relates to room-heating panel blocks, particularly edge panel blocks, for laying a heating tube in a floor of a room. When installing a heating tube in a floor, panel blocks are laid underneath the heating tube to fix the tube in position in a groove or grooves formed therein. As the tube is laid in a zigzag winding manner, there arises a need to make the panel blocks suited for a straight portions of the heating tube as well as for the bent portions of the heating tube, and the present invention relates to the panel blocks for use at the bent, or edge, portions of the heating tube and the production process thereof.
- Conventionally, to lay a heating tube in a floor of a room, a panel with a zigzag winding groove was laid in a floor, and a tube was laid in the zigzag winding groove. However, the various widths and lengths of the floor presented a problem and inconvenience in fixing a tube in the panel groove at the edge portions of the tube laid in a zigzag winding manner.
- The object of the present invention is to solve the problem of difficulty and inconvenience in the conventional art in laying a heating tube in a room heating panel in a floor at the edge portions of a heating tube resulting from various widths and lengths of a floor. To achieve the said object in the present invention, in laying a long heating tube in the floor of a room with regular intervals between the zigzag tube lines, rectangular panel blocks at the edge portions of a room are provided in such a way that the panel blocks at one side edge portions are formed with a U-shaped groove and the panel blocks at the other side edge portions are formed with both a U-shaped groove and a straight groove.
- The panel blocks in the present invention are laid horizontally at the edge portions in the floor to be heated and are connected with the other panel blocks laid in the central portions of the floor taking care that the grooves in the edge panel blocks align with the grooves of the panel blocks in the central portions of the floor. Then the odd edges, if any, of the edge panel blocks are cut off to trim the edge panel blocks as desired. By doing so, the grooves in the edge panel blocks and the grooves of the panel blocks in the central portions of the floor are connected in good alignment forming a groove in a zigzag form so that a long heating tube can be laid conveniently in a zigzag manner in the groove. Then a finishing material, such as a wooden panel or a marble stone plate is laid on top of the tube and the panel blocks.
- In the present invention, heat emitted from the heating tube is transmitted upwards through a heat transmitting plate, and part of the heat is stored in a heat storage layer and part of the heat is radiated upward. The amount of heat radiation through the heat storage layer varies hour by hour, but the room is heated with a fairly consistent temperature.
- Moreover, the loss of heat downwards is prevented by the heat insulating layer thereby increasing the amount of heat radiated from the heating tube.
- Furthermore, the panel blocks in the present invention makes it easy to lay a heating tube at the edges of the floor, increasing the efficiency in laying a heating tube, increasing the utility of heat energy, and maximizing the effectiveness of room heating.
- The construction of the panel blocks according to the objet of the present invention is explained in detail with the drawings attached as follows.

As shown inFIG. 1 , the edge panel blocks (1 a, 1 b) as one set are connected with the other panel blocks (1) for a heating tube (P) to be inserted in the grooves to construct room heating facilities. According to this construction, the present invention is characterized in that it discloses a construction process of panel blocks for room heating, as shown inFIG. 5 . - A mode for the present invention is described in detail as follows by the drawings attached.
- In the present invention, the thickness of the heat insulating layer (3), made of heat insulating material, is at least 20˜25 mm; the thickness of the heat transmitting plate (4) is 0.3 mm; the thickness of the heat storage layer (5) is approximately 10 mm. Therefore, the grooves (2 a, 2 b, 2 c) should be as deep as 20 mm so that a heating tube (P) with a diameter of 16˜18 mm may be inserted therein.
- As a first step, the A and B portions in the present invention ought to be laid first with the same thickness as the edge panel blocks toward the walls of the room to secure the space for laying the heating tube (P) when the heating tube (P) is laid toward a distributor (not shown in the drawing).
- Then as a second step, the edge panel blocks (1 a, 1 b) in the present invention are laid on the right and left of the central straight panel blocks (1) in a planar structure, seeing to it that the grooves (2 a, 2 b) of the edge panel blocks (1 a, 1 b) are connected with both ends of the straight grooves (2) of the central straight panel blocks (1) and that the grooves (2 c) are connected in a straight line.
- As a third step, the long heating tube (P) is inserted into the grooves (2, 2 a, 2 b, 2 c) of the panel blocks (1, 1 a, 1 b) beginning with an end portion of the heating tube (P), then finishing materials (6) are laid on the panel blocks, thereby completing the work of laying a heating tube (P) that is laid in a zigzag manner in grooves of edge panel blocks.
- In laying the edge panel blocks (1 a, 1 b) for room heating, rectangular central straight panel blocks (1) with straight grooves (2) are laid on the floor according to the width and length of the room floor, characterized in that
- in the edge panel block (1 a), a heat transmitting plate (4) is laid on top of the heat insulating layer (3) with built-in supports (3 a) in a manner of enclosing a lower half of the heating tube (P); then on top of the heat transmitting plate (4), a heat storage layer (5) is formed; a U-shaped groove (2 a) is formed with a depth going through the thickness of the heat storage layer (5) and further halfway into the heat insulating layer (3) in such a way that the ends of the U-shaped groove may align with the ends of the grooves of the adjacent panel block;
- in the edge panel block (1 b), in the same manner as in the above, a heat insulating layer (3), a heat transmitting plate (4), and a heat storage layer (5) are formed; then a U-shaped groove (2 b) is formed with a depth going through the thickness of the heat storage layer (5) and further halfway into the heat insulating layer (3) in such a way that the ends of the U-shaped groove may align with the ends of the grooves of the adjacent panel block; then behind the U-shaped groove (2 b), a straight groove (2 c) is formed for connection at both ends, said edge panel block (1 a) and said edge panel block (1 b) forming one set of edge panel blocks;
- a long heating tube (P) is inserted into said grooves (2, 2 a, 2 b, 2 c) of the panel blocks (1, 1 a, 1 b) in a zigzag-winding line; and finishing materials (6) such as wooden panels and marble stone plates are laid on top of the heat storage layer (5), as shown in
FIG. 5 . - By the use of the edge panel blocks (1 a, 1 b) in the present invention, it is possible to lay a heating tube (P) neatly and conveniently. Besides, rows of the straight lateral grooves (2) are adjusted depending on the width of the room, and the residual portions of the edge panel blocks (1 a, 1 b) may be cut off and trimmed according to the length of the floor of the room. With the application of the grooves (2 a, 2 b, 2 c) with said adjustment and trimming of the panel blocks, construction of the room heating facilities can be carried out neatly, conveniently and efficiently.
- The edge panel blocks in the present invention make it easy to lay heating facilities in a room, particularly at the edge portions in the floor, and the heat radiated from the heating tube (P) spreads in all directions, including upward directions, through the heat transmitting plate (4), some of the heat being stored in the heat storage layer (5), presenting an advantageous feature of maintaining the room heating temperature fairly steadily despite the hourly changes of the temperature radiated from the heating tube (P).
- Instead of the conventional wet-type mortar floor, the construction of the dry-type floor heating facilities in the present invention make it easy to lay the facilities even in winter-time, with shorter time for construction, with lower construction cost for sustaining building load and floor-heating facilities, maximizing energy utilizing effect. The floor-heating panel blocks and the method of production thereof in the present invention are applicable to industrial plants, research institutes, hotels, church buildings, school rooms, officetels, etc. where conventional wet-type mortar floor method was used.
