This is a game designed to challenge one's mental capacity and endurance providing an avenue for one to participate on a one-on-one competition in the area of mental observation and patience, while producing the effect that you are conquering ‘mind over matter’ by placing the disc into the opponent's cup. Nerve Challenge provides many times over the challenge of winning superiority over an inanimate object without any technical or philosophical expertise and many hours of fun for the people who have and can share the fun with their friends by placing all their discs into their opponent's cup before the timer runs out; and, if they feel they are excellent at their game, they can challenge the possibility of finding out their limits in their dexterity and mental capacity for having patience by racing against time.

  • DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
  • Figure One is the drawing showing the overview of Player One's left and right hands (#'s 1 and 2) in game position holding the sticks (#'s 5 and 6) manipulating the disc (#12) over the cup (#10) that is attached to the rope (#9) along with Player Two's right and left hands (#'s 3 and 4) engaged in same manner holding the sticks (#'s 7 and 8) manipulating the disc (#13) over the cup (#11) that is attached to the rope (#9).
  • Figure Two is the drawing of the disc showing in detail its measurements of an one inch (1″) circumference and an one eighth inch (⅛″) diameter in the top, side, and isometric views.
  • Figure Three is the drawing for the cup showing in detail via the top view its measurements that post an outer circumference of two inches (2″), and an inner circumference of one and seven eighths inches (1⅞″) with a diameter of one half inch (½″) via the side view referenced as shown along with an isometric view.
  • Figure Four is the drawing of the rope with a side view of the overall length of six inches (6″) and a diameter of one eighth inch (⅛″).
  • Figure Five is the drawing of the stick shown in its entirety posting a measurement via the side view of a one quarter inch diameter (¼″) at the bottom of the stick with a seven and a half inch (7½″) portion narrowing into a coned shaped portion of one and a half inches (1½″) for the approximate sizing of a total of nine inches (9″) consisting of a single unit, and a diameter of one sixteenth inch ( 1/16″) tapered tip referenced as shown along with an end view of the bottom one quarter inch (¼″) diameter and the one sixteenth inch ( 1/16″) diameter and the complete unit in the isometric view.

  • Figure Nine is a picture illustrating the complete set-up of the game with all pieces showing on the table (table not included) of which the timer and dice will be purchased from a vendor of choice and can be any color, shape or construction.
  • Operation of Invention
  • OBJECT OF THE GAME—The object of the game is to make connection with the discs by using the sticks provided in the designed approach placing all five (5) discs into the opponent's cup before the timer runs out.
  • How to Set-Up the Game
    • 1. Place game cups attached by rope on desired table surface (See FIG. 6).
    • 2. Put one (1) disc in each player's cup (See FIG. 7).
    • 3. Divide the remaining eight (8) discs into two sets, placing one (1) set of four (4) discs to the right side of each player's cup as desired (See FIG. 8).
    • 4. Place dice and timer on table (See FIG. 9).
  • Scoring
  • SUCCESSFUL PLACEMENT SCORE
    1 Disc 1 Point
    2 Discs  3 Points
    3 Discs  5 Points
    5 Discs 10 Points
  • The game is over when any one player reaches fifty (50) points.
  • How to Play the Game
  • This game can be played by two (2) or more players. If more than two (2) players, players can decide which two (2) players go first by rolling the dice and the two players with the highest scores go first.
    • 1. Place Timer on table (See FIG. 9) and set desired game time, (i.e. Recommend three (3) minutes).
    • 2. Once the timer begins, Players One and Two, each take their assigned (2) sticks in hand holding the sticks as outlined in Figure No. 1, trying to place each of their individual designated discs, one at a time, into their Opponent's cup before the timer runs out or before any one player drops their disc. Each disc must be placed in the cup first before transferring it to the Opponent's cup. If a player drops a disc, that player will be disqualified for that round; however, the remaining player of the round may continue to play until the timer runs out or the remaining player drops a disc.
    • 3. When timer runs out, all successfully placed discs in Player One and Player Two's Opponent's cup are counted and scores are tallied.
    • 4. Player with the most discs placed in their Opponent's cup before the timer goes off is the winner of that round.
    • 5. A typical game consists of at least five (5) timed rounds. You can play as many timed rounds as needed to reach 50 points.
  • Alternate Playing Options
  • CHALLENGER'S QUEST
      • Challenger is the player who reaches 50 points but is willing to concede the 50 points by attempting to place all ten (10) discs in the Opponent's cup within a timed session of one (1) minute. If Challenger is successful, points are doubled to 100; if all ten (10) discs are not placed in Opponent's cup, within the timed session, no points are added and Challenger loses the 50 game points already won.
      • BLITZ—Each player (up to 10 people), setting the timer for one (1) minute, attempts to place all ten discs in the Opponent's cup one disc at a time. Scoring pattern is the same as for an individual round.
      • TOURNAMENT—Teams are chosen with no more than five (5) people per team. Timer is set for 3 minutes and each person gets one turn to try and place one disc into Opponent's cup. The team to place the most discs in their Opponent's cup wins the round. Scoring pattern is the same as for an individual round.
    CONCLUSIONS, RAMIFICATIONS. AND SCOPE
  • Thus the reader will see that this NERVE CHALLENGE game will be an excellent game to allow one's mind to overcome the matter in front of them by placing all their discs into their opponent's cup before the timer runs out, providing many hours of fun and laughter between people while testing their mental strength and dexterity limits. Although the specifications show this game to be constructed of polymeric chloride (plastic), it wouldn't affect the outcome of the game results if another material was used such as a sturdy wood material. The color would not affect the outcome, and therefore this game could be in any color or multi-colored to enhance one's visual aspect of the game. The sizing of each piece in this game is concise to produce optimal challenge. This game can be enjoyed by millions bringing satisfaction to those playing it.
