After exploring other areas where a coaster could be mounted with the same type of mounting apparatus I felt the top cap was the best suited for the idea behind the beverage rest. This mounting area is not limited. Other designs could be made such as a flat platter that would rest via two clamps around the piping on the urinal flush valve. One could easily be made to clamp around the round tubes on the left and right sides of the flush valve, see FIG. 23 .

  • FIG. 2 There are two types of urinal flush valve top caps. A cap with angled sides and one with a rounded side to it. For this patent, either style of cap will do as it turns out, both caps fit interchangeably and both are the same exact size in height, diameter and width. See FIGS. 3 and 4 . The only change in from the rounded cap and the angled cap is just that, the style of the cap where to sides taper inward towards the top of the cap.

  • advertising devices used like small billboards or advertising devices that would attach themselves to the urinal flush valve top cap that are stationary or could be equipped with electric eyes that would sense movement of a person in front of the urinal that would trigger a recorded message or movement of a advertisement revolving or moving back and forth to get the persons attention could use the same clamping apparatus to attach to the urinal flush valve to allow for advertising while one uses the urinal as seen in FIG. 29 .

  • This springy spongy material used to hold the top cap beverage rest holder against the urinal flush valve top cap can be made from, but not limited to rubber, foam, sponge, and any other springy material known to man that can be made or manufactured with properties such as rubber, that pushes force back against whatever is pushed against it.
  • This spongy material acts as a cushion between the urinal flush valve top cap and the inner vertical walls of the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest by pushing force back and forth between the inner vertical walls of the flush valve top cap beverage rest, and the sides of the urinal flush valve top cap, when the flush valve top cap beverage rest holder is pushed downward over top of the urinal flush valve top cap, see FIGS. 39, 41 , and 42 .

  • the magnetic material used to adhere the beverage rest to the flush valve top cap can be made from, but not limited to anything known to man that can be magnetized that is a solid or bendable magnet material being made as ceramic magnet, metal magnet, vinyl magnet and any other type of magnetic material known to man that can be made or manufactured with magnetic properties.

Abstract

A drink beverage coaster is specifically meant to attach to a urinal flush valve top cap. It attaches itself by a vertical wall or a plurality of individual walls that extend 90 degrees away from the underside of the top coaster part that conform around the urinal flush valve top cap, and attached to the side edges of the top cap via an elastic spongy material attached on the inner sides of the vertical walls, that not only conforms to the shape of the urinal flush valve top cap, but when it is put over a top cap, the top cap pushes against the spongy material applying force against the spongy material that in turn applies force against the inner side of the downward vertical walls which then apply pressure back to the elastic spongy material which applies the pressure back to the top cap sides. When laying a beverage, whether a bottle, can or glass on the chrome top cap, or plumbing apparatus, a drink is prone to fall off on the floor because the surface is not large enough, flat enough and is too slippery to accommodate a beverage container. The drink beverage coaster fits over the top cap via it's spongy material thus allowing for easy removal for maintenance of the flush valve and may be put back on easily to accommodate those who have a beverage in hand at the urinal allowing one to rest their drink on the beverage rest for hands free operation of said bodily functions at the urinal without losing one's drink.

    CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
  • In response to office action dated Jun. 26, 2007, I hereby provide the following continuation in part for application filed on Jan. 3, 2005, application Ser. No. 11/028,116.
  • SPECIFICATION
  • A device that allows you to rest your drink on the common urinal flush valve by attaching itself to the components of said urinal flush valve. This drink rest has a horizontal level surface on it which acts as a holder and or coaster or resting location to allow one to rest their drink on the urinal flush valve in bathrooms while they use the bathroom facility thus allowing for hands free operation of the urinal or toilet the flush valve is attached to. It is comprised of a hard resilient material that can be made to shape with apparatus that attaches itself to the urinal flush valve by way of molding to the shape of certain sections of the urinal flush valve by way of anchors that wrap around sections of the urinal flush valve holding it to the flush valve in place firmly.
  • A urinal flush valve drink holder made from a hard resilient material that allows itself to be molded, shaped, or machined into shape thus allowing it to attach itself to a urinal flush valve while receiving a drink on the flat level surface. A hard resilient material such as plastic, wood, metal, carbon fiber, or any other resilient material.
  • The invention is simple, it is a flat level surface with a mounting apparatus underneath that attaches itself to the top cap of the urinal flush valve by way of anchors extending down from the top level surface conforming around the shape of the urinal flush valve top cap and having small anchors that grab the underside of the urinal flush valves top cap.
  • The device could be plastic injection molded by making a mold and injecting hot porous plastic into the mold and cooling it to create a hard finished product. The invention could be plastic but not limited to plastic and could be made from other hard resilient materials that may be carved or machined out of wood or metals, by using the machining process whereby a (computer numeric controlled) CNC Machine lathe could manufacture one by shaping it on computer aided designing 3-D software program and a CNC machine lathe makes the item to specification based on the computer drawing input into the machining device.
  • A top surface of the device has a flat non porous surface that allows a drink to be rested on top. Simply snap the invention on top of a urinal flush valve top cap and rest your drink on top of the invention.
  • Furthermore, it is comprised of a hard resilient material that can be made to shape with apparatus that attaches itself to the urinal flush valve by way of moulding the design to the shape of certain sections of the urinal flush valve as to wrap around sections of the urinal flush valve top cap via several methods thus holding it to the flush valve in place firmly. A beverage rest consisting of a flat horizontal surface with a plurality of vertical sides not limited to one continuous side making it cylindrical but, a plurality of sides extending downward that conform to, but are slightly larger than the outer diameter of the flush valve top cap, thus leaving room for a soft spongy material to be adhered to the inner underside vertical walls of the beverage rest, that pushes away from the inner wall of the beverage rest towards and against the flush valve top cap sides, thus conforming to the flush valve top cap shape thus holding it into place. Other ways to adhere this beverage rest to the urinal flush valve top cap will be discussed in this section.
  • It is a flat level surface with a mounting apparatus underneath that attaches itself to the top cap of the urinal flush valve by way of elastic spongy material attached to the underside interior vertical walls of the beverage rest that flexes inward towards the urinal flush valve top cap that allows the urinal flush valve beverage rest to be pushed down over the urinal flush valve top cap and be held to the top cap by the spongy material that flexes back inward away from the inner walls of the vertical walls extending down from the beverage rest allowing the elastic spongy material to flex back via it's rubbery natural elastic spongy characteristics towards and against the urinal flush valve top cap sides, thus pushing force against the top cap sides holding it in place.
  • A top surface of the device has a flat non porous surface that allows a drink to be rested on top. Simply push the beverage rest on top of a urinal flush valve top cap via it's elastic spongy material along it's inner vertical walls to mount it, and rest your drink on top of the urinal flush valve beverage rest holder.
  • Other forms of apparatus are as follows. A urinal flush valve beverage rest holder made of a non porous material consisting of a flat horizontal surface with vertical sides not limited to one continuous side making it cylindrical but, a plurality of sides extending downward that conform to but are slightly larger than the outer diameter of the flush valve top cap, thus leaving room for magnetic material to be adhered to the inner underside vertical walls and horizontal walls of the beverage rest, that uses magnetic force from the magnetic material attached to the inner and underside walls of the beverage rest that magnetically attract to and against the flush valve top cap top and sides, thus conforming to the flush valve top cap shape and magnetically hold against the metal material used to produce urinal flush valve top caps, thus holding it into place magnetically
  • A beverage rest consisting of a flat horizontal surface with a plurality of vertical sides extending downward that conform to but are slightly longer and larger than the outer diameter of an automatic urinal flush valve top cap, thus leaving room for a soft spongy material to be adhered to the inner underside vertical walls of the beverage rest, that pushes away from the inner wall of the beverage rest towards and against the flush valve top cap sides, thus conforming to the flush valve top cap shape thus holding it into place. A beverage rest that consists of a plurality of sides allowing for open sections, thus allowing the beverage rest to be spun on top of the top cap, to align the open sections in such a way as to not interference with the electric eye motion sensing apparatus on the automatic urinal flush valve top cap.
  • A beverage rest consisting of a flat top horizontal surface with side walls on the outer edges of the horizontal surface forming a lip that can be from 1 degree to 179 degrees away from the flat horizontal surface either downward facing or upwards to prevent a beverage from sliding off the horizontal surface. This side lip could be the height of one micron to a three feet tall and could extend outward or inward towards the beverage resting on the beverage rest or form shapes as to mimic actual things like a beverage cup, glass, or bottle such as a beer bottle.
  • A urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest consisting of two parts. A top piece that is a flat horizontal surface with a plurality of vertical sides not limited to one continuous side making it cylindrical but, a plurality of sides extending downward that conform to the outer diameter of the flush valve top cap, although slightly larger, yet fits tightly to the diameter, width, and height of the urinal flush valve top cap. On the beverage rest's inner vertical sides, a series of grooves that are threads. A second lower piece that is a “c” shaped horizontal surface that has an outer edge that is threaded to receive the threads from the inside of the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest's inner side vertical walls. This “c” shaped threaded secondary piece to the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest has a cut out section to allow the lower piece to slide under the urinal flush valve top cap underside edge and around the actual plumbing below the flush valve top cap, thus allowing the lower piece and the upper beverage rest to be screwed into each other thus applying pressure to the sides and top of the urinal flush valve top cap via pressure exerted by the lower piece that is screwed into the top piece thus putting pressure on the flush valve top cap via force from the bottom pulling on the top piece via being screwed together.
  • A urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest consisting of a flat horizontal surface with a plurality of vertical sides extending downward and slightly below the bottom underside edge of a urinal flush valve top cap. The vertical sides have small horizontal slits that go all the way through the vertical sides and are in line with the bottom edge of the flush valve top cap's underside. The sides are made from a bendable resilient material that conform to the outer diameter of a urinal flush valve top cap, and when one pushes the lower section of the vertical sides below the slits, the actual material of the flush valve top cap beverage rest holder, bends inward and remains stationary thus grabbing the underside of the urinal flush valve top cap holding into place. The actual sides do the anchoring of the beverage rest to the flush valve top cap without usage of any teeth, barbs or anchors. The sides actually bend inward and under the flush valve top cap's underside edge and hold the beverage rest into place. They can also be bent back out for quick removal.
  • A beverage rest consisting of a flat horizontal surface that has a plurality of several elastic clamps such as but not limited to spring steel, that are attached to the underside of the horizontal surface. These elastic clamps are made of a resilient material that can be pushed over several of the actual plumbing pipes of the urinal flush valve itself and spring back via the nature of the resilient material such as spring steel, so that the clamps can be used to mount the beverage rest to a 90 degree elbow apparatus that is attached to the urinal flush valve thus hold the beverage rest to the actual 90 degree elbow apparatus of the urinal flush valve holding it into place. This clamping apparatus can be made to clamp vertical as well as horizontal plumbing that is attached to the flush valve. It also can be made to clamp around, or completely surround the pipe that it is attached to, in the form of a “c” clamp or one that clamps the whole circumference of the pipe it is attached to. This clamping apparatus can be made of any resilient material and is not limited to a clamp, meaning a method such as zip ties could be used to secure the beverage rest to the plumbing apparatus in place of a clamp.
  • A urinal flush valve beverage rest consisting of a horizontal beverage rest that is molded or manufactured with a mounting apparatus under the horizontal surface that extends outward horizontally away from the rest and forming a clamping apparatus that actually springs outward when pushed onto actual vertical plumbing and springs back to conform to the pipe. Similar to the clamping method mentioned above but this would allow the beverage rest to be attached to the lower vertical pipe that coming from the flush valve that feeds downward and is attached to the actual urinal.
  • A urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest that can have can be molded into shapes for advertising purposes such as a horizontal surface that is in the shape of a star, heart or resembling a corporation logo. As example an Apple Computer logo. A beverage rest that could be molded to the shape of a bottle cap or an inverted bottle cap that would allow an edge to prevent a beverage from falling off it. A lower set of vertical sides that could be molded to resemble a glass bottle such as a beer bottle and a top horizontal beverage resting surface that resembles a beer bottle cap to rest the beverage on. Actually molding the beverage rest into a shape of any item acting as a dummy model of the product and mounting it to the urinal flush valve top cap for promotional purposes in advertising thus resembling the actual product but, in dummy form, like that of an actual beer bottle for a beer company.
  • A urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest that has a motion sensor or weight sensor embedded into it that senses movement in front of the urinal or senses weight of a beverage on it that allows a computer chip to preform a task such as a pre-recorded message device for advertising, or a continuous light that stays on for a few moments lighting up the beverage laid on it or lighting up an advertisement on the top horizontal surface.
  • BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
  • The invention pertains to drink coasters, drink rests, drink holders and devices invented to hold a drink in place while the user has hands free operation. When one enters a bathroom of a business, night club, bar, restaurant, stadium event or other establishment with a drink in hand, one must rest their drink somewhere on a urinal in order to free their hands in order to free “themselves” from their binding pants to go to the bathroom. When doing so one normally has to rest their drink on the urinal flush valve top cap, or lean the beverage against the top cap and the wall. This option has on many occasion turned out to be a bad place as top cap is not suited wide enough with a flat enough surface to allow for a drink to be safely rested and being chrome plated turns out to be too slippery and the drink has a tendency to fall on the floor. Other areas on the urinal or toilet are less sanitary and one would not want to rest their drink.
  • When going to the bathroom it is somewhat cumbersome to hold one's self while relieving one's self while holding a drink. Furthermore, in night clubs and bars or stadium events, under heavy influence of alcohol, it becomes even more difficult to hold one's self while holding one's drink while doing your best not to drench your pants, not to mention if the drink falls off the top cap it could splash on your pants thus making it appear that you had a major accident in the bathroom much to your embarrassment as well as destroying a perfectly good beer that would either crack or land in a very unsanitary place. This device allows you to rest your drink in a fashion that is sanitary, safe from falling off and allow you to do your business in the bathroom while your drink would rest stationary on the horizontal surface of the urinal flush valve beverage rest. It also allows for a horizontal surface for one to advertising on as well.
  • PRIOR ART
  • As to prior art, no prior art is mentioned. I have never seen such a device as the one I have invented. I have seen the typical drink coaster like anyone has. Simple in design, a flat surface made of plastic, metal or wood, to put under a drink that rests on a flat surface such as a table. I have seen no prior art to be compared with my invention in retrospect as to fasten to a urinal flush valve and after making my own patent search online I find there is no such device.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • A beverage rest holder consisting of a flat surface to which a drink rests, that has apparatus underneath that attaches itself to a urinal flush valve. A beverage rest holder consisting of a flat surface to which a drink rests, and ears that come down from the underside of said top flat surface that have pointed angled hooks at the bottom ends pointing inward like anchors that attach themselves to the underside of the common urinal flush valve top cap.
  • The beverage rest holder could also be designed as a sleeve like device made to fit over the same outside shape and size of a automatic flush valve top cap that simply slides over the existing sleeve with the same level top surface which works with automatic flush urinal flush valves.
  • This also may be a simple flat tray that rests on top of the urinal flush valve top cap or other areas of said flush valves with other types of permanent attachments that allow the device to be fastened to the urinal flush valve via the other parts of the urinal flush valve, whether automatic or manual flush designs.
  • A urinal flush valve beverage rest holder that attaches itself to the urinal flush valve (FIG. 1.) used in bathrooms widely in businesses, buildings, stadiums, night clubs and restaurants.
  • A urinal flush valve beverage rest holder that attaches itself to the urinal flush valve top cap that allows the user to rest their beverage on the holder allowing for hands free from any beverage while one uses the urinal or toilet that the flush valve is attached to.
  • This new idea was invented for the countless times I laid my beer in a night club wedged up against the wall and on the top of the urinal flush valve, and while using the urinal with my hands preoccupied, watched my beer vibrate off the flush valve onto the floor in the bathroom. To my horror the beer would either break or land in some unfavorable wet area and thus I′d have to trash the beer. After spending most of my life out of work, the loss of a three dollar beer over and over due to the same place I rested my beer while I went to the bathroom made me think of the idea to avoid spending more money on another beer to replace it, which was money that I didn't have. After all, at three bucks a pop plus tip, when you are out of work, a beer is a terrible thing to waste.
  • The urinal flush valve beverage rest holder will most likely will be a plastic injection molded drink coaster with an apparatus that attaches itself to the urinal flush valve top cap. You will see the urinal flush valve beverage rest holder has only three major parts. A top part, the horizontal surface to which a drink rests, see (#1) of FIG. 5, two curved ears below it see (#2) of FIG. 5, and the anchors, see (#3) of FIG. 5, at the bottom of the ears which curve inward and upward to hold the beverage rest to the underside of the urinal flush valve top cap by using the anchors, see (#3) of FIG. 5, to hold the beverage rest to the underside of the urinal flush valves top cap. The beverage rest material mentioned is plastic injection molded but is not limited to plastic injection molding and it could be made by other modern ways of manufacturing to include but not limited to metals plastics and other hard resilient materials known to man that can be molded or manufactured to shape.
  • See (#1) of FIG. 5. A urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder consisting of a flat top horizontal surface that may have an outer lip that is angled upwards from 1 degree to 179 degrees inward towards the center or outward away but is not limited to having an outer lip by design, see (#1 a) of FIG. 5. For purposes of this patent let's say the lip is 45 degrees angled up or down from the horizontal top of the beverage rest holder. Below the top horizontal surface, at least two or more pieces of plastic extend 90 degrees vertically downward from the top horizontal surface which I call the ears, see (#2) of FIG. 5. These ears come down from underneath the top coaster, see (#1) of FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, whose vertical walls curve in the same shape of curve of the side of urinal flush valve top cap, see (#2) of FIG. 5, and FIG. 6, at which the furthest bottom inside edge curves inward and angles upward to shape anchors see (#3) of FIG. 5 and FIGS. 6, 7, and 8, that snap around the bottom lip of the top cap of the urinal flush valve top cap holding it into place thus allowing you to place your beer or drink comfortably on top of the urinal flush valve allowing for hands free operation of your hands and keeping your beverage safely rested from vibration off the top of the urinal flush valve onto the floor.
  • There are also automatic flush valve tops that work under a slightly different shaped top cap, see FIG. 20. A slightly altered design of the same idea, see FIG. 21, fixes that problem as well and will be discussed later. Also, drink coasters could be constructed to fit other areas of the urinal flush valve by attaching themselves to the pipes on the flush valve as well, See FIG. 23.
  • The urinal flush valve, see FIG. 1, has two different type style of top caps, see FIG. 2. The only difference between the two top caps is in style! There is a round top version and an angled version, see FIG. 2. Both are exactly the same size in height, width, length and diameter, see FIGS. 3 & 4, only the angled top tapers up straight towards the top and the round one simply curves up to the top of the top cap. Further explanation of the patent idea is illustrated via other views and cross-sections of the patent idea to further explain it.
  • The top of the urinal flush valve beverage rest holder is horizontal and circular in shape like the typical drink coaster, but it is not limited to a round shape. Other cosmetic shapes that sit horizontally flat such as a stars, corporate logos that lend themselves to fit, rectangles, stars or squares, or any other flat shape that would allow you to rest your drink on it are possible, See FIG. 22. The flat horizontal level top may have a angled lip in various heights or angles that angle away from the horizontal surface that acts as simply an edge to stop a drink from sliding off but, mostly for cosmetic appeal, see (#1 a) of FIG. 5. Also a non slip surface could be added to the horizontal top to prevent further slippage such as cork or rubber but not limited to those materials.
  • The flat coaster has two pieces of plastic under it that come downward from it vertically which I continue to refer to as ears, see (#2) of FIGS. 5, through 8, and at the ends of the ears there is a lip that turns inward which I will refer to as anchors see (#3) of FIGS. 5, through 8, which grab the underside of the top cap of the urinal flush valve and hold it down into place over the top cap stationary, see FIGS. 6, 7, 8 and FIG. 14, as well as a side view in FIGS. 11 and 12 together in sequence and cross section side view in FIGS. 17 and 18 together in a sequence that show how the invention fits over the urinal flush valve top cap.
  • (See FIGS. 13 and 14 for a top angle 45 degree view) The ears that extend downward from the coaster on the under side of it conform to the outer diameter circular shape of the urinal flush valve top cap and the anchors at the end of the ears snap around the round diameter of the top cap holding it in place on top of the urinal flush valve.
  • See FIGS. 9, 10, 11, and 12 for a side view. Both views of the angled cap and the rounded cap are shown. Furthermore, a cross-section view of the beverage rest holder, as seen in FIGS. 15, 16, 17, and 18, from a side view angle, better illustrates just how the beverage rest holder attaches itself to the bottom of the angled and rounded style top caps of the urinal flush valve. The beverage rest holder attaches to the top cap of the urinal flush valve via the two anchors see (#3) of FIG. 6, located at the bottom of to the two ears of plastic extending downward from the bottom of the coaster vertically at which ends have a small lip anchors angled inward towards the metal top cap and grab under the lip of the urinal flush valve top cap thus holding into place. This small lip on the beverage rest holder that grabs the underside of the top cap which holds the beverage rest holder into place is called the anchor and anchors the coaster down over the urinal flush valve top cap, See FIG. 5. Both ears that extend vertical, curve inward in the direction of the urinal flush valve top cap and follows it's contour with the same diameter and shape of the outer edge of the urinal flush valve top cap.
  • There are two ears see (#2) of FIG. 5, one on each side of the beverage rest holder, allowing for the beverage rest holder to be held down to the urinal flush valve top cap, yet spun on the urinal top cap with ease if the beverage rest holders are imprinted, with advertising of any kind thus preventing the advertising from being read upside down. This also allows for easier removal of the beverage rest holder from the urinal flush valve top cap over a clamp that would clamp all the way around in a complete circle.
  • There are two ears mentioned; however, this is not limited to two in design. A minimum of two ears are required to hold the beverage rest holder down to the top cap; however, there could be three ears or four in smaller size widths horizontally at opposite sides of the holder as seen in FIG. 5 but at four points of the compass north, south, east and west.
  • Due to the beverage rest holders application it will be in a high volume visibility area thus it could be used for advertising purposes as well. Company logos and messages could be imprinted on the holder, and company logos that lend themselves to this type of idea such as the Apple Computer logo seen in FIG. 22 could be made along with stars, stop signs, etc.
  • The urinal flush valve beverage rest holder, as mentioned earlier, could be made from other materials other than plastic, such as kevlar, metal alloys like steel, glass or glass products like fiberglass, woods or any other resilient material that would be efficient. For this example plastic will be used.
  • A urinal flush valve you see on toilets and wall mounted urinals has a top cap that is most paramount in my flush valve beverage rest. After exploring other areas where a coaster could be mounted with the same type of mounting apparatus I felt the top cap was the best suited for the idea behind the beverage rest. This mounting area is not limited. Other designs could be made such as a flat platter that would rest via two clamps around the piping on the urinal flush valve. One could easily be made to clamp around the round tubes on the left and right sides of the flush valve, see FIG. 23.
  • The design is not limited in it's function either. Other design ideas of different styles of beverage rest holders that attach to a urinal flush valve that would have any flat horizontal surface that could be used for holding a beverage could have other ideas as part of the invention to go along with it for instance a beverage rest holder designed with a cigarette holder or a place to hold match books as seen in FIG. 24.
  • See FIG. 2. There are two types of urinal flush valve top caps. A cap with angled sides and one with a rounded side to it. For this patent, either style of cap will do as it turns out, both caps fit interchangeably and both are the same exact size in height, diameter and width. See FIGS. 3 and 4. The only change in from the rounded cap and the angled cap is just that, the style of the cap where to sides taper inward towards the top of the cap.
  • Seeing both caps are the same other than the look, the beverage rest holder will fit both types of styles easily without any change in manufacturing. In other words, one size will fit all!
  • There are many types of urinal flush valves made by other companies. The most common in the United States is the one made by Sloan. The beverage rest holder could be simply adapted in size if need be to fit the top cap of other brands but for sake of argument and as an example we will deal with the Sloan variety shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. This does not limit the idea to the Sloan variety. The urinal flush valve beverage rest holder could be easily adapted to fit any other top cap of any other flush valve top cap.
  • There is another variety of top cap known as the automatic urinal flush valve. These units are the same exact type units only the top section where the top cap mounts is an automatic flushing device located under a black colored plastic cap, see FIG. 20, that has an electric eye of sorts located forward facing the user, see FIG. 20 (#4). A simple design change of the idea would allow the unit to be put on these automatic type flush valves. The black plastic top cap of an automatic flush valve is taller in design over the smaller top cap in metal. By extending the beverage rest holder ears longer, see (#2) of FIGS. 19 and 21, the unit could simply slide down over the automatic flush valve top cap and although could be held by anchors, anchors on the ears would not have to be used. An indented design on the underside of the beverage rest holder, see FIG. 21, would hold the holder in place so that the ears would not block the electric eye window of FIG. 20 (#4).
  • For drainage purposes, holes could be drilled into the top surface of the urinal flush valve beverage rest holder as seen in FIG. 25.
  • A completely new top cap design could be manufactured with a flat top surface that would allow for a drink to be held by incorporating a coaster like design into the new design top cap as seen in FIG. 26. The new design top cap could be made of the same material and threaded on the inner wall as the current top caps are designed, to match the current designed threads which allow the new top cap to be screwed down and securely fastened to the urinal flush valve in place of the current top cap only a flat coaster like surface would be incorporated into the new design cap thus eliminating my invention.
  • Other devices could be made to secure the invention further by attaching to other areas of the urinal or toilet surface itself as in FIG. 27 via extra supports or suction cups.
  • Alternative urinal beverage rest holder designs could be made that attach directly to the toilet or urinal via suction cups as well as seen in FIG. 28.
  • Lastly, advertising devices used like small billboards or advertising devices that would attach themselves to the urinal flush valve top cap that are stationary or could be equipped with electric eyes that would sense movement of a person in front of the urinal that would trigger a recorded message or movement of a advertisement revolving or moving back and forth to get the persons attention could use the same clamping apparatus to attach to the urinal flush valve to allow for advertising while one uses the urinal as seen in FIG. 29.
  • Furthermore, a urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder consisting of a flat horizontal surface, see (#4) of FIGS. 34, and 35, with a side lip around it's edge extending from 1 to 179 degrees from said flat surface, see (#4 a) of FIGS. 34, and 35, consisting of a plurality of vertical walls extending downward from the underside of said flat horizontal surface, see (#5) of FIGS. 35, and 37, that are slightly larger in height and diameter than a urinal flush valve top cap, see (c) of FIGS. 37, and 39, whereby an elastic spongy springy material, see (#5 a) of FIGS. 35, 37, and 39, is adhered to the flush valve cap beverage rest holder's downward vertical walls inner surface, see (#5 a) of FIGS. 35, 37, and 39. This springy spongy material used to hold the top cap beverage rest holder against the urinal flush valve top cap, can be made from, but not limited to rubber, foam, sponge, and any other springy material known to man that can be made or manufactured with properties such as rubber, that pushes force back against whatever is pushed against it.
  • This spongy material acts as a cushion between the urinal flush valve top cap and the inner vertical walls of the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest by pushing force back and forth between the inner vertical walls of the flush valve top cap beverage rest, and the sides of the urinal flush valve top cap, when the flush valve top cap beverage rest holder is pushed downward over top of the urinal flush valve top cap, see FIGS. 39, 41, and 42. When one pushes the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest, see (#4, #5, #5 a) of FIGS. 37, 39, 41, and 42, over top of a urinal flush valve top cap, see (c) of FIGS. 37, 39, 41, and 42, the elastic spongy material, see (#5 a) of FIGS. 37, 39, 41, and 42, compresses to the shape of the urinal flush valve top cap, see (c) of FIGS. 37, 39, 41, and 42. The urinal flush valve top cap, see (c) of FIGS. 37, 39, 41, and 42, being made from a hard resilient material, pushes force against the elastic spongy material, see (#5 a) of FIGS. 37, 39, 41, and 42. This force compresses the elastic spongy material against the inside of the downward vertical walls it is attached to, see (#5) of FIGS. 37, 39, 41, and 42. The downward vertical walls of the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder, hold the pressure and force the elastic spongy material not only to compress, but to push force back against the urinal flush valve top cap, thus holding it stationary and firmly in place as seen in FIGS. 39, 41, and 42 whereby (#4, #5) of FIGS. 39, 41, and 42, are held by (#5 a) the elastic spongy material, which is compressed between the forces of (c) of FIGS. 39, 41, and 42 and the forces of (#4, #5) of FIGS. 39, 41, and 42 that push against the elastic spongy material.
  • Additionally, on some automatic flush valve top caps, there are manual flush buttons located on top of the top cap. Because the beverage rest is not permanently attached, and can be slid on and slid off easily, one can simply push down on the beverage rest to activate the manual flush button on an automatic urinal flush valve top cap and the beverage rest will still remain stationary on the flush valve top cap.
  • Furthermore, a urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder made from any hard resilient material, consisting of a flat horizontal surface, see (#4) of FIGS. 34, and 35, with a side lip around it's edge extending from 1 to 179 degrees from said flat surface, see (#4 a) of FIGS. 34, and 36, consisting of a plurality of vertical walls extending downward from the underside of said flat horizontal surface, see (#5) of FIGS. 36, and 38, that are slightly larger than a urinal flush valve top cap, see (c) of FIGS. 38, and 40, whereby magnetic material, see (#5 b) of FIGS. 36, 38, and 40, is adhered to the flush valve cap beverage rest holder's horizontal surface underside and downward vertical walls inner surface, see (#5 b) of FIGS. 36, 38, 40, 43 and 44.
  • This magnetic material is used to hold the top cap beverage rest holder firmly against the chrome surface and metal used in making urinal flush valve top cap and the metal used on an automatic flush valve top cap, see (#6) of FIG. 49. The magnetic material used to adhere the beverage rest to the flush valve top cap can be made from, but not limited to anything known to man that can be magnetized that is a solid or bendable magnet material being made as ceramic magnet, metal magnet, vinyl magnet and any other type of magnetic material known to man that can be made or manufactured with magnetic properties.
  • Examples of solid and pliable magnetic materials are, but not limited to, hard surface solid ceramic speaker magnets and pliable bendable vinyl magnetic business cards and removable signage used on trucks and cars. This magnetic material would attached itself magnetically to the metal used to make a urinal flush valve top cap. The magnetic material, see (#5 b) of FIGS. 36, 38, 40, 43 and 44, on the underside of the top vertical surface, see (#4) of FIGS. 36, 38, 40, 43 and 44, and the inner vertical walls of the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder, see (#5 b) of FIGS. 36, 38, 40, 43 and 44, holds the beverage rest magnetically by drawing the beverage rest magnetically to the top and sides of the urinal flush valve top cap, see (c) of FIGS. 38, 40, 43, and 44, thus holding it stationary to the metal on the urinal flush valve top cap. When one pushes the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder, see (#4, #5, #5 b) of FIGS. 38, 40, 43, and 44, over top of a urinal flush valve top cap, see (c) of FIGS. 38, 40, 43, and 44, the magnetic material, see (#5 b) of FIGS. 38, 40, 43, and 44, magnetically holds the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest to the urinal flush valve top cap firmly in place, thus the beverage rest can be easily put on and removed for maintenance on the flush valve top cap when needed.
  • Furthermore, on some automatic flush valve top caps, there are manual flush buttons located on top of the top cap. Because the beverage rest is not permanently attached, and can be slid on and slid off easily, one can simply push down on the beverage rest and activate the manual flush button on an automatic urinal flush valve top cap and still remain stationary on the top cap.
  • Furthermore a urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest made from any hard resilient material, consisting of a horizontal surface for resting a beverage, see (#4) of FIGS. 49, and 50, and a plurality of vertical walls extending downward from the horizontal surface that conform to the shape of an automatic flush valve, see (#6) of FIG. 49, that is a sleeve like device made to fit over the same outside shape and size of a automatic flush valve top cap, see (#4, #5) of FIGS. 49, and 50, that simple slides over the existing automatic flush cap with the same shaped underside to the horizontal surface, see (#5 b) of FIGS. 49 and 50, to match the shape of the top surface of the automatic flush valve top cap, see (#6 b) of FIGS. 49, and 50, so it could allow the plurality of downward vertical walls extending down from the horizontal surface of the automatic flush valve beverage rest holder, to be positioned in such a way so the downward vertical walls of the beverage rest, (#5 a) of FIGS. 49, and 50, don't block the automatic flush valve top cap's electric eye, see (#6 a) of FIG. 49, used for automatic flushing.
  • An automatic flush valve top cap beverage rest holder consisting of a flat horizontal surface to lay a beverage, see (#4) of FIGS. 49 and 50, with downward vertical walls shaped to conform to the automatic urinal flush valve top cap, see (#5) of FIGS. 49, and 50, that are slightly larger to fit over the automatic flush valve top cap, see (#6) of FIG. 49, and the underside of the urinal flush valve beverage rest holder's horizontal surface, is molded to match perfectly to the top surface of the automatic urinal flush valve, so that the beverage rest underside would meld perfectly to the top of the automatic flush top cap, thus preventing the automatic flush valve top cap beverage rest from turning while over the automatic flush valve top cap, and be manufactured in such a way that the openings between the beverage rest's vertical downward walls would not block the automatic flush valves auto flushing electric eye sensor, see (#6 a) of FIGS. 49 and 50.
  • An automatic flush valve top cap beverage rest that could consist of a slightly larger size inner diameter so that it's vertical walls extending downward from it's horizontal surface, see (#5) of FIGS. 49, and 50, have room for an elastic spongy material, that is not limited to rubber, form rubber or sponge, but could be made from any other elastic spongy material known to man, see (#5 a) of FIGS. 49, 50, and could be adhered to the inner side of the downward vertical walls, see (#5) of FIGS. 49, and 50, so that when one pushes the automatic flush valve beverage rest holder over an automatic flush valve top cap, the hard resilient material of the automatic flush valve top cap pushes back against the elastic spongy material adhered to the automatic urinal flush valve top cap's vertical walls, much like the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest and flush valve top cap in FIGS. 41, and 42. The force pushed against the elastic spongy material compresses against the inner downward vertical walls of the automatic flush valve cap beverage rest thereby pushing force back against the automatic flush valve top cap, thus holding it firmly into place.
  • Other urinal flush valve beverage rest holder's made from any hard resilient material, could be made such as a flat platter that would rest via two clamps around the piping on the urinal flush valve. One could easily be made to clamp around the round tubes on the left and right sides of the flush valve, and rest flat on the flush valve top cap and secured to the plumbing and other areas of the flush valve, see FIG. 51.
  • Furthermore a beverage rest holder made from any hard resilient material, that is designed with an attachment, not limited to but much like a cigarette holder or a place to hold match books, or a device attached that is a motion sensor or weight sensor device that activates a pre-recorded message or steady burning lights that light up the beverage or the whole beverage rest via a color or clear plastic used to glow via lights, as represented by (x) in on FIG. 45. Furthermore, a urinal flush valve beverage rest holder made of any hard resilient material, with holes in the horizontal surface, see (#4) of FIG. 46, or notches in the side lip, see (#4 a) of FIG. 46, to allow liquid to pass through.
  • Furthermore, a urinal flush valve beverage rest holder made from any hard resilient material, with other devices, could be made to secure the beverage rest further by attaching to other areas of the urinal or toilet surface itself or a combination of the toilet or urinal and the flush valve plumbing as in FIGS. 47, and 48, via extra supports or suction cups using a tray like design that rests on the flush valve top cap and is secured to other areas of the toilet or urinal that the flush valve is attached to.
  • Furthermore, a urinal flush valve beverage rest holder consisting of a flat horizontal surface, see (#4) of FIGS. 34, and 52, with a side lip around it's edge extending from 1 to 179 degrees from said flat surface, see (#4 a) of FIGS. 34, and 52, that has a plurality of curved clamps or clips, see (#4 c) of FIG. 52, that are made from a hard resilient material that has a flex back like property like spring steel, that is mounted underneath said top horizontal surface, that are form fitted to the 90 degree elbow section shape, see (e) of FIG. 52, and plumbing pipe, see (f) of FIG. 52, of the urinal flush valve, so that the beverage rest can be pushed onto the 90 degree elbow section of the urinal flush valve and be held firmly in place.
  • Furthermore, a urinal flush valve beverage rest holder, made from a hard resilient material, consisting of a flat horizontal surface, see (#4) of FIG. 53, with a side lip around it's edge extending from 1 to 179 degrees from said flat surface, see (#4 a) of FIG. 53, with a plurality of vertical side walls extending downward from said top horizontal surface, see (#5) of FIG. 53. On the inner underside of the urinal flush valve beverage rest holder is cylindrical in shape and there are grooves forming threads along the inner walls of the vertical walls, see (t) on FIG. 53, and a second piece, a lower bottom piece, see (b) of FIG. 53, that is the same diameter and cylindrical shape of the inside edges of the beverage rest vertical walls with a surface that is flat, with a plurality of vertical thickness, see (b) of FIG. 53, and along it's outer vertical edge are also grooves forming threads to match the threads on the inside vertical walls of the beverage rest.
  • There is a cut out on the lower bottom piece, see (b) of FIG. 53, to allow the lower piece to be slid around the lower plumbing shape of the underside part of the urinal flush valve that attaches to the urinal flush valve top cap. This allows the lower part to be slid around the vertical downward plumbing of the urinal flush valve just under the urinal flush valve top cap so that it can be mated with the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest via the threads on both pieces and thus screwed together holding the lower part under the urinal flush valve top cap, to the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest, thus holding the beverage rest stationary and firmly to the urinal flush valve top cap, see (c) of FIG. 53.
  • When both pieces are screwed together from the top and bottom of the urinal flush valve top cap, the unit holds from both the top and bottom of the flush valve top cap and remains stationary held via the threads that hold both pieces of the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest and the lower urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest bottom.
  • Furthermore another type of urinal flush valve beverage rest holder, made of hard resilient material, consisting of a flat horizontal surface, see (#4) of FIG. 54, with a side lip around it's edge extending from 1 to 179 degrees from said flat surface, see (#4 a) of FIG. 54, with an under support, see (#4 d) of FIG. 54, that attaches to the flat horizontal surface's underside, and extends outward from and past the outer edges of the horizontal flat surface on a plurality of sides, forming a cylindrical clamp apparatus, see (#4 c) of FIG. 54, and is of similar shape and size of the vertical plumbing pipe that extends downward from the urinal flush valve, into the urinal or toilet, and attaches itself to the cylindrical shape of the lower plumbing pipe that feeds into the urinal or toilet, and remains stationary by clamping to the actual plumbing pipe and holds the urinal flush valve beverage rest holder firmly and stationary to the plumbing pipe, see FIG. 54.
  • Furthermore, a urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest or urinal flush valve beverage rest holder, made from any hard resilient material that can be made to have a flat horizontal surface, see (#4) of FIG. 55, consisting of 2 dimensional graphic shapes, such as, but not limited to, stars, squares, hearts, or corporation logos that lend themselves to be produced for such a surface, like for instance the apple shaped logo for Apple Computer, Inc., that attach to the downward vertical walls, see (#5) of FIG. 55, and could be molded into other shapes that are 3 dimensional, like that of a bottle cap being right side up or upside down, see (#4) of FIG. 55, but not limited to a bottle cap and could be made into just about any other 3 dimensional object that could be supported by the mounting apparatus of the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder or urinal flush valve beverage rest holder. An example of a 3 dimensional object could be an actual bottle replica, that can be manufactured or molded to resemble the shape of a real Coca-Cola bottle that is used for promotional merit and advertising purposes, or a replica of an actual bottle cap for example that resembles an actual real bottle cap that one can rest their drink on the flat surface of the bottle cap, see (#4) of FIG. 55, with the cap facing upwards or upside down using the sides as an actual lip, see (#4 a) of FIG. 55.
  • Furthermore a urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder made from any hard resilient material that is a bendable pliable material, such as but not limited to vinyl plastic, that can be bent in one direction, then bent back, consisting of a horizontal surface for resting a beverage, see (#4) of FIGS. 56, and 60, with a side lip around it's edge extending from 1 to 179 degrees from said flat surface, see (#4 a) of FIGS. 56 and 60, with a plurality of be vertical side walls that extend downward from said top horizontal surface that conform to the urinal flush valve top caps outer diameter, see (#5) of FIGS. 56, 57, 58, 59, and 60, and have a plurality of small horizontal slits around the vertical side walls, see (#5 s) of FIGS. 56, 57, 58, 59, and 60, that are aligned with the bottom of the urinal flush valve top cap's bottom edge, see (#5 s) and (#c) of FIG. 56. The horizontal slits are to split the vertical walls into two parts, a part above the slit and a part below the slit.
  • The upper portion above the slit remains stationary and remains the same urinal flush valve top cap's outer diameter cylindrical shape and a lower portion below the slit, see (#5 d) of FIGS. 56, 57, 58, 59 and 60, that becomes a tab that is bendable that can be pushed inward and back out to it's original form, with force supplied by a user. The slit, see (#5 s) of FIGS. 56, 57, 58, 59 and 60, creates a lower wall that can be pushed inward making it a tab, see (#5 d) of FIGS. 57, 58, 59 and 60. This tab thus makes the lower wall into a grabbing tab and or locking mechanism that grabs the underside of the urinal flush valve top cap, see (#5 d) of FIGS. 57, 58, 59, and 60.
  • The slits, see (#5 s) of FIGS. 57, 58, 59, and 60, allow the sides of the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder to remain the same shape of the urinal flush valve top cap, see (c) of FIGS. 56, 59 and 60, in order to fit the urinal flush valve beverage rest holder over a urinal flush valve top cap, see FIGS. 56, 57, 58, 59 and 60. Once the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder is placed over the top of the urinal flush valve top cap, see FIGS. 56, 57, 58, 59 and 60, the user can push their fingers inward against the lower tab sections of the vertical side walls below the slits, see slits (#5 s) and tabs (#5 d) of FIGS. 56, 57, 58, 59 and 60.
  • This force causes the vertical side walls below the slits to bend inward in the opposite direction of the cylindrical curved shape of the outer vertical wall of the urinal flush valve beverage rest, see (#5 d) of FIGS. 57, and 60, and acts like a tab that can be pushed back and forth, inward and outward. When force is applied to the lower outer vertical walls under the slits, the lower walls or tabs as they then become, bend inward towards the urinal flush valve top cap, due to the slit being aligned below the lower edge of the flush valve top cap. Therefore, the top edge of the lower outer wall is below the urinal flush valve top cap's lower edge, allowing the tab to bend inward and under the urinal flush valve top cap, see (#5 d) of FIGS. 57, 58, 59, and 60. When the lower outer vertical wall bends inward and under the urinal flush valve top cap's underside edge, it becomes a tab and the lower wall below the slit then becomes concave in shape and curves inward rather than outward thus the opposite direction of the round cylindrical outer wall shape above it, see (#5 d) of FIGS. 57, and 60. The outer vertical wall below the slits are pliable and bendable and can be pushed inward towards the urinal flush valve top cap locking the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder underneath the urinal flush valve top cap's lower edge, thus holding it into place firmly by the lower vertical wall below the slit which becomes a tab that acts as a locking mechanism to the underside of the urinal flush valve top cap.
  • Unlike any other beverage rest mentioned earlier that use teeth or anchors attached to the inside surface of the downward vertical walls which extend inward from the inner surface of the downward vertical walls towards the flush valve top cap and clamp underneath the flush valve top cap's underside edge, this urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder has no teeth, barbs or anchors that extend inward towards the urinal flush valve top cap, attached to it's inner or outer downward vertical walls, thus the downward vertical walls are completely smooth and there is no edge at all to hold the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder to the urinal flush valve top cap, until pressure is applied by the user to the vertical side wall tabs just below the horizontal slits.
  • When the lower side tabs under the slits are pushed in, the tabs bend inward. When they are pushed outward, the tabs bend back outward to their original shape allowing for easy removal of the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest. When the tabs are pushed inward, the top edge of the tab, where the slits exist on the vertical walls, bends inward when pressure is applied and thus exposes the top edge of the lower tab. It is this top edge of the lower tab that provides a horizontal edged surface that faces upwards towards the bottom of the urinal flush valve top cap's lower underside edge and makes contact with the underside of the urinal flush valve top cap and provides the grabbing mechanism needed to stay firmly into place.
  • Therefore, the top edge of every tab on the vertical side walls located just below each slit, is what holds the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder, to the urinal flush valve top cap's underside edge by using the urinal flush valve top cap beverage holder's own otherwise smooth inside vertical side walls that are free of any outward extending teeth, barbs or anchors! It holds without barbs, teeth or anchors, by holding with it's own smooth surfaced downward vertical walls that when bent in with force, grab underneath the flush valve top cap by using the upper edge of the slit on the lower vertical wall where each slit exists, that becomes exposed when pushed inward, and this exposed upward facing edge, see (#5 d) of FIGS. 57, and 60, grabs the underside of the urinal flush valve top cap from the top cap's underside edge.
  • To use, simply push the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder over the urinal flush valve top cap, see FIGS. 57, 58, 59 and 60, apply force inward towards the urinal flush valve top cap along the sides of the lower vertical walls, see FIGS. 57, 58, 59 and 60, and the lower walls of the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest push inward and grab the underside of the urinal flush valve top cap and hold it firmly into place, see FIGS. 57, 58, 59 and 60, If one wishes to remove it to remove the urinal flush valve top cap to service the urinal flush valve, one simply has to push the lower vertical walls back outward to their original shape and the downward vertical walls under the top horizontal surface, go back to their original form and the beverage rest slips right back off the flush valve top cap, leaving it available for servicing by a plumber.
  • Furthermore, another urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder can be made consisting of a horizontal surface which to rest a drink, see (#4) of FIG. 61, with a side lip extending away from the horizontal surface from 1 to 179 degrees, see (#4 a) of FIG. 61, with a plurality of downward vertical walls that extend downward from the top horizontal surface, that have a plurality of slits on the downward vertical side walls that grab the underside of the urinal flush valve top cap, see (c) of FIG. 61. By using the same principle of using the smooth downward vertical walls with slits as described before in seen in FIGS. 56, 57, 58, 59, and 60, the same downward vertical walls with horizontal slits that allow the wall to be bent inward creating tabs, see (#5 s) of FIG. 61, can be used to make tabs as well, although different in design, see (#5 d) of FIG. 61. The slits in this case start horizontally and curve downward, with a plurality of downward angles, see (#5 s) of FIG. 61.
  • Once again in this case like the example using slits to make tabs as described in FIGS. 56, 57, 58, 59, and 60 above, in this case, the horizontal slits are once again aligned with the lower edge of the urinal flush valve top cap's lower outer edge, see (#5 s) of FIG. 61, however, on one side of each horizontal slit, there is vertical slit that extends downward from the horizontal slit, and extends past the lower edge of the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder's lower edge, thus allowing the lower outer wall to become a tab that can be pushed inward towards the urinal flush valve top cap, thus creating another upper edge over the tab that acts as a grabbing mechanism and makes contact with the lower outer underside edge of the urinal flush valve top cap, see (c), (#5 s) and (#5 d) of FIG. 61.
  • To put one on, all one does is put the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest over the top cap, see (c) of FIG. 61, then the user applies force with their hand to bend the tabs inward towards the urinal flush valve top cap and under the flush valve top cap's lower edge, and the urinal flush valve top cap beverage rest holder is held firmly into place by the top edge of the tabs grabbing the underside of the urinal flush valve top cap, see FIG. 61. To remove, all one must do is bend the tabs back to original position and remove.

This drawing is to show how the flat surface to rest a drink, can be made into 2 dimensional shapes like stars, corporate logos, or 3 dimensional shapes like bottle caps. Below the line shows a bottle cap idea that is on top of the vertical walls facing up, and one facing downward. It is to show the lower vertical walls can be molded to look like things like a beer bottle and the upper flat resting surface can be a bottle cap. Transparency is used to allow the viewer to see the support underneath the top surface.
  • FIG. 56 Shows a 45 degree top view and side view of the beverage rest with transparency to show the horizontal slits on the vertical walls and the tabs are pushed inward. It also is used to show how the slits align with the top cap's lower edge when the top cap is inserted.
  • FIG. 57 Shows a transparent 45 degree top view of the beverage rest with slits in the vertical walls and shows how the tabs are pushed inward. It also shows a transparent side view showing the beverage rest inserted over the top cap.
  • FIG. 58 Shows a side view of the top cap, it's horizontal slits, the slits being pushed inward and a transparent view of the beverage rest over top a flush valve top cap.
  • FIG. 59 Shows a side transparent view of the beverage rest resting over top a flush valve top cap with it's tabs out and in.
  • FIG. 60 Shows a 45 degree top view of the beverage rest with it's top transparent to show it's slits, and in succession down wards it shows the top cap, and using transparency to see how the beverage rest goes over the top cap, and at the bottom how the tabs are pushed in and grab the underside of the flush valve top cap. The middle column shows the same succession on the left side, of a beverage rest, the cap, the cap under the beverage rest and the tabs pushed inward, but it shows a dotted line representing the top cap to show even more transparency to make it easier for the viewer to see the tabs pushed inward and under the top cap. And the last column is a side view of the beverage rest, showing in succession downward, a the top cap, the beverage rest on top of the top cap with transparency to show the cap inside and the tabs out, force being put on the tabs, and the tabs inward under the top cap holding it firmly.
  • FIG. 61 Shows a 45 degree top view of a beverage rest using transparency to show in succession following the arrows, the beverage rest and it's horizontal and vertical slits, the beverage rest with slits pushed inward, a flush valve top cap, the top cap inserted in the beverage rest, and the top cap inside the beverage rest with the tabs pushed inward under the top cap's lower edge, holding the beverage rest to the top cap firmly. Below the line shows the same as above but in a side angle view that also uses transparency to show the cap inside the beverage rest and with the tabs pushed inward under the top cap's lower edge.

Claims (20)

1. I claim a urinal flush valve beverage rest holder, made from any hard resilient material known to man, that attaches itself to a urinal flush valve sanitary device, consisting of a smooth or non-slip flat horizontal surface for which to rest a beverage, and underneath said flat horizontal surface, vertical walls extending downward that conform to, and fit over the urinal flush valve top cap shape, holding it firmly into place, thus allowing the user to rest their beverage on the holder and allowing for their hands to be free from any beverage.
2. The subject matter in claim 1 where in a urinal flush valve beverage rest holder is made from a non-porous hard resilient material such as plastic, but not limited to plastic, and may include any other non-porous hard resilient material known to man that may be molded or manufactured into shape, such as metals, natural products such as woods, glass and glass like materials such as lexan, lucite, and fiberglass, carbon fibers, plastics, rubber, vinyl rubber products and other hard resilient materials that are moldable or shaped by manufacturing process.
3. The subject matter in claim 2 where in a urinal flush valve beverage rest holder attaches to a urinal flush valve top cap.
4. The subject matter in claim 3 where in a urinal flush valve beverage rest holder consisting of a flat surface to which to lay a beverage on, attaches to a urinal flush valve top cap via the vertical walls attached to underside of the urinal flush valve beverage rest holder's horizontal surface, that extend downward to and past the lowest bottom edge of the urinal flush valve top cap, and have a grabbing device attached to the inner sides of the vertical walls which grabs the sides of the urinal flush valve top cap.
5. The subject matter in claim 4 where in many shapes of the side walls or horizontal flat surface of the flush valve top cap beverage rest holder could be manufactured in two dimensional or three dimensional shapes such as a flat horizontal drinking surface made to the shape of a start, or stop sign, or the Apple logo that represents Apple Computer, Inc., or three dimensional shapes like a replica of a large bottle cap and vertical side walls that resemble the top neck of a beer bottle, so that the beverage rest resembles an actual product like a closed beer bottle and can be used not only for resting a beverage, but for advertising purposes.
6. The subject matter in claim 5 where it could be imprinted with advertising for business and maximum exposure of corporate products and identities.
7. The subject matter in claim 6 where in a side lip around the outer edge of the horizontal surface could extend upward or downward from the horizontal surface that acts as a decorative lip when faced downward or functional lip to prevent a beverage from falling off the flat surface when facing upwards. This lip is located on the outside edge of the horizontal surface and extends from one millimeter to two hundred millimeters on an angle upwards from 1 to 179 degrees from the horizontal flat surface to which the beverage rests, or downward from 1 to 179 degrees from the horizontal flat surface to which the beverage rests.
8. The subject matter in claim 7 where in drainage slits, or channels could be added to the top horizontal surface side lip of the urinal flush valve beverage rest holder to allow for drainage of any liquid that may find it's way onto the horizontal surface.
9. The subject matter in claim 8 where a grabbing device attaches to the inside edge of the vertical walls that is an elastic spongy material that forms to the shape of the flush valve top cap when the beverage rest is pushed over top of the flush valve top cap, thus applying force to the flush valve top cap sides via the elastic nature of the spongy material between the inside vertical walls and the outside edges of the flush valve top cap.
10. The subject matter in claim 8 where the grabbing device attaches to the inside edge of the vertical walls and the underside of the horizontal surface for resting a beverage, that is a magnetic material which attaches the beverage rest to the flush valve top cap by magnetic force.
11.) The subject matter in claim 8 where the outer vertical walls have a plurality of a horizontal slits, whereby the horizontal slit is aligned with the lower bottom horizontal edge of the flush valve top cap, allowing the vertical wall above the slits to remain stationary, and the vertical wall below the slits to be pushed inward creating a tab using the lower outer wall, that bends inward and under the urinal flush valve top cap, holding the flush valve beverage rest holder securely to the top cap.
12.) The subject matter in claim 8 where the outer vertical walls have a plurality of a horizontal slits with vertical slits going downward in a 90 degree angle, but not limited to a 90 degree angle, which start at one end of the horizontal slits joining horizontal slits, and which vertical slits extend downward from the horizontal slits past the bottom edge of the urinal flush valve beverage holder, whereby the horizontal slit is aligned with the lower bottom horizontal edge of the flush valve top cap, allowing the vertical wall above the slits to remain stationary, and the vertical wall below the slits to be pushed inward creating a tab using the lower outer wall, that bends inward and under the urinal flush valve top cap, holding the flush valve beverage rest holder securely to the top cap.
13. The subject matter in claim 9 where in a flush beverage rest holder consisting of a top flat surface to rest a drink on, with downward vertical walls, however, the underside of said horizontal top surface is molded to meld perfectly with the top section of an automatic flush valve top cap, and the vertical walls are longer to accommodate the longer walls on an automatic flush valve top cap, and is held by the underside of the to horizontal surface of the beverage rest, in combination with the elastic spongy material attached to the inside section of the vertical walls.
14. I claim a urinal flush valve beverage rest holder, made from any hard resilient material known to man, that attaches itself to the 90 degree elbow of a urinal flush valve sanitary device, consisting of a smooth or non-slip flat horizontal surface for which to rest a beverage, and underneath said flat horizontal surface, a plurality of clamps extending downward that conform to, and clamp over the urinal flush valve's 90 degree elbow pipe apparatus, holding it firmly into place, thus allowing the user to rest their beverage on the holder and allowing for their hands to be free from any beverage.
15. The subject matter in claim 14 where in a urinal flush valve beverage rest holder is made from a non-porous hard resilient material such as plastic, but not limited to plastic, and may include any other non-porous hard resilient material known to man that may be molded or manufactured into shape, such as metals, natural products such as woods, glass and glass like materials such as lexan, lucite, and fiberglass, carbon fibers, plastics, rubber, vinyl rubber products and other hard resilient materials that are moldable or shaped by manufacturing process.
16. The subject matter in claim 15 where in many shapes of the horizontal flat surface of the flush valve beverage rest holder could be manufactured in two dimensional or three dimensional shapes such as a flat horizontal drinking surface made to the shape of a start, or stop sign, or the Apple logo that represents Apple Computer, Inc., or three dimensional shapes like a replica of a large bottle cap, so that the beverage rest resembles an actual product like a bottle cap and can be used not only for resting a beverage, but for advertising purposes.
17. The subject matter in claim 16 where it could be imprinted with advertising for business and maximum exposure of corporate products and identities.
18. The subject matter in claim 17 where in a side lip around the outer edge of the horizontal surface could extend upward or downward from the horizontal surface that acts as a decorative lip when faced downward or functional lip to prevent a beverage from falling off the flat surface when facing upwards. This lip is located on the outside edge of the horizontal surface and extends from one millimeter to two hundred millimeters on an angle upwards from 1 to 179 degrees from the horizontal flat surface to which the beverage rests, or downward from 1 to 179 degrees from the horizontal flat surface to which the beverage rests.
19. The subject matter in claim 18 where in drainage slits, channels or holes could be added to the top horizontal surface or side lip of the urinal flush valve beverage rest holder to allow for drainage of any liquid that may find it's way onto the horizontal surface.
20. The subject matter in claim 9, 10, 11, 12, or 17, where in another useful apparatus could be mounted to or could be manufacture into the urinal flush valve beverage rest holder such as a cigarette holder, ash tray, or a motion sensor or weight activated device that creates a response like a recorded message, an apparatus that moves, or steady lights when someone walks up to the urinal flush valve beverage rest and puts a beverage on it.
