The object of my invention relates to improvements in collapsible tubes for containing dental tooth paste, and especially toan improvement in the opening in the spout of the tube. i
The openings at the spout of the tube at present are formed either round or rectangular, with the result that the paste leaving the opening assumes either a round or rect'angular form. I find that these forms have the following objections. The paste has a tendency to fall off the brush before the user has an opportunity to apply it to the teeth. Furthermore, the place Where the greatest part of the paste is required, is on the outside and inside of the teeth and around the necks of the teeth. But with the forms of the paste now used and above described, there is no opportunity for the paste to be applied at thesurfaces required. I a

In the drawings. 1 shows in general a collapsible sheet metal tube of tooth paste, having a spout 2 and an opening or orifice 3 of the form shown. The orifice will be about the same Width as the width of the bristles' in an ordinary tooth brush, with the result that the paste as it leaves the orifice will fit to the top of the bristles and will be prevented from falling off.
The greater part of the paste is concentrated at its ends, asshown, with the result that when the bristles are applied to the teeth, the paste at the ends will be in position where it is needed, i. e. near the necks of the teeth, or the gum line and the surfaces of the teeth.
