The -.com.bination' with a'desk having an opening in its top, a cover normally located in said opening and a typewriter supporting platform normally below the cover, of levers pivotally connected between their ends to fixed partsof the desk, and at their upper ends pivotally connected to the forward portions of the cover, said levers at their lower ends connected links with the forw-ard portions of the platform, links connecting the rear portions of the vplatform with fixed parts of the desk below the normal position of the platform, and other links connecting the rear portions of the cover with fired portions of the desk below the normal position of the platform.
