Claims (6)
- Hearing aid system, comprising at least one hearing aid (1) having an input transducer for picking up an input signal and conversion to an electrical input signal, a signal processing unit (7) for processing and amplifying the electrical input signal and outputting an electrical output signal, and a receiver (10) for converting the electrical output signal into an audible output signal, wherein the hearing aid system comprises means for automatically recognizing a receiver type that is used in the hearing aid (1), wherein different receiver types each have at least one associated mechanical manifestation that is characteristic of the respective receiver type, and the hearing aid system comprises means for recognizing the receiver type used in the hearing aid on the basis of the mechanical manifestation,
characterized in that
the receiver (10) has receiver connection pins (A, B) for making electrical contact and the hearing aid system comprises means for recognizing the receiver type used in the hearing aid on the basis of different lengths of the receiver connection pins (A, B), and
the hearing aid (1) comprises a multilevel contact arrangement for distinguishing between different lengths of the receiver connection pins (A, B). - Hearing aid system according to Claim 1, which comprises means for automatically matching the signal processing unit (7) to the recognized receiver type.
- Hearing aid system according to Claim 2, wherein the automatic matching of the signal processing unit is effected by the hearing aid (1) itself.
- Hearing aid system according to Claim 2, comprising a programming device that can be connected to the hearing aid, wherein the automatic matching of the signal processing unit unit is effected by the programming device.
- Hearing aid system according to one of Claims 1 to 4, wherein the hearing aid (1) is in the form of a behind-the-ear hearing aid (1) having an earmould (3), in which the receiver (10) is arranged, that projects into the auditory canal.
- Hearing aid system according to one of Claims 1 to 5, wherein the receiver (10) can be detachably connected to the hearing aid (1) or the earmould (3).
