Abstract

A smoke detection procedure transmits (2) a fixed clock frequency intensity modulated light signal (6) via a reflector (5) to a receiver (3) that recognises the reflected signal (7) by its clock frequency and processes it to compare its amplitude with the transmitted value and trigger an alarm or make maintenance cycle adjustments.
