Da ein Münzsammelbehältnis in dem allseits geschlossenen Hohlquader 29 angeordnet ist, weist der erfindungsgemäße münzbetätigte Unterhaltungsautomat 1 den weiteren Vorteil auf, daß vor einer Instandsetzung des Gerätes nicht zuvor eine Kassenleerung durchgeführt werden muß, da die Kasse von dem Techniker während der Reparatur oder Wartungsarbeiten nicht erreichbar ist. Der segmentartigen schlitzförmigen Öffnung 11 ist die Vorrichtung 28 zur Entgegennahme und Prüfung der Wertigkeit der Banknoten zugeordnet. Der stirnseitig auf der Blende 15 entriegelbare als Schublade ausgebildete Münzsammelbehälter ist derart ausgebildet, daß dieser sowohl Münzgeld als auch Banknoten in getrennten Bereichen des Münzsammelbehälters aufnimmt. Benachbart zu dem Banknotenprüfer 28 ist an der Stirnseite 5 ein Massenspeicher 30 angeordnet. Unterhalb des Banknotenprüfers 28 befindet sich ein CD-ROM-Laufwerk 31. Auf der Innenseite der Rückseite 18 ist ein Mikrocomputersystem 32 angeordnet. Oberhalb des Mikrocomputersystems 32 ist ein mittels eines Schließzylinders 19 betätigbarer Verriegelmechanismus 33 vorgesehen.
