Abstract

The method involves monitoring current vehicle positions from a center (1) and using this to determine the anticipated time of arrival at or departure from the next stopping point. The passenger interactively interrogates the data available in the center regarding planned and actual anticipated arrival and/or departure times via a communications system (6), esp. a fixed network telephone, radio telephone or Internet application An Independent claim is also included for a passenger information system.
