- The known slide card has the drawback, that the dimensions and the form of the pop-up figure are dependant on the dimensions and the form of the foldable part out of which the pop-up figure is formed. With the known slide card, the foldable part is square, and it is not possible to provide this part with the form of the silhouette of the displayed figure, without diminishing the firmness of the foldable part, while further this figure always has to have smaller dimensions than the folding part.
- The invention aims to provide an improved information slide or disc.
- The information slide or disc according to the invention to that end is characterized in that in a cover sheet an opening is provided, while a pop-up portion is connected to the cover sheet, which pop-up portion at its joint to the cover sheet can be moved from a first position, in which the pop-up portion lies substantially in one plane with the plane of the cover sheet, upwards to a second position, in which the pop-up portion stands in an angle with respect to the plane of the cover sheet, and wherein the pop-up portion is connected through the opening in the cover sheet to a lift-up portion which is provided on the inner sheet, which lift-up portion can be moved from a first position, in which the lift-up portion lies substantially in one plane with the plane of the inner sheet, upwards to a second position, in which the lift-up portion is disposed in an angle with respect to the plane of the inner sheet and can point through the opening in the cover sheet, in such a way, that when the inner sheet is slided or rotated the lift-up portion moves the pop-up portion upwards and downwards.
- With the slide or disc according to the invention it is possible to provide the part which stands up with respect to the plane of the slide or disc, the pop-up portion, in whole with the form of the silhouette of the figure that one wishes to depict. It is further possible to provide the pop-up portion with a larger dimension than the dimensions of the lift-up portion, so that only the pop-up portion is visible.
- According to a further characteristic of the information slide or disc according to the invention, in a cover sheet more than one pop-up portion can be provided, while further more openings and lift-up portions can be provided.
- In that way it is possible to incorporate in one information slide or disc a plurality of pop-up portions, each of which can be operated seperately.
- According to another characteristic of the information slide or disc according to the invention, the pop-up portion is made from the material of the cover sheet, while the joint or connection between the pop-up portion and the cover sheet is formed by a fold line.
- The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing an information slide or disc, characterized in that a piece of planar material is divided along two fold lines in at least one set of three sections, in which the first and the second section are destined to form the front cover sheet and the back cover sheet respectively of a cover, and wherein in the first section a pop-up portion is partially cut loose, which pop-up portion is limited from the material of the first section by a fold line, and wherein the third section is destined to form the inner sheet, which is to be partially slidable or rotatable in the cover, which inner sheet is partially cut loose from the material of the third section by at least one cut which terminates close to an edge of the piece of planar material, and wherein in the inner sheet a lift-up portion is partially cut loose and is connected along at least one joint to the material of the inner sheet, wherein the third section is folded over the second section, after which the first section is folded over the third section, while the lift-up portion is glued at the part opposite the joint to the pop-up portion and wherein the third and the second section are glued to each other outside of the area of the inner sheet, and the first section is glued to the third section outside of the area of the inner sheet, after which of the folded assembly of the three sections a strip of the planar material is cut loose at the joint of the inner sheet to the third section, in such a way that the inner sheet becomes freely slidable or rotatable from the material of the third section.
- The invention will now be described further with reference to the drawing of an example of an embodiment.
- Figure 1 shows a perspective front view of the information slide, wherein the pop-up portion is folded upwards, in the second position.
