Definitions
- the present invention relates to a partially removable closure cover for conic ice cream holding elements or cups.
- These containing elements which are usually made of a plastic or paperboard material are closed at the top mouth thereof by a closing cover which is firmly engaged with the container body but can be easily disengaged therefrom.
- the cover removable portion e.g made of a paper material, is partially glued on the body of the cover so as to be raised to expose to the view the top surface of the body, thereon wordings can be impressed indicative of an immediate win of a prize.
- the above mentioned portion is advantageously provided with perforated lines allowing a part of said portion to be easily removed,in order to be preserved by the user for participating to prize competitions.
- an ice cream cup closure cover which is indicated at the reference number 1,comprises a supporting element 2,made of a rigid material, provided with an edge 2′ for tightly and removably engaging the rim portion 3′ of an ice cream container or cup 3.
- an element 4 made of paper of any suitable material, the not glued portion 4′ of which can be raised and/or removed along lines 5 and 8,suitably perforated,to allow said removable portion 4′ to be easily removed.
Abstract
The ice cream holding cup (3) is characterized in that it is provided with a not glued removable portion (4) which can be easily raised so as to allow access to the ice cream product therein.
Description
- The present invention relates to a partially removable closure cover for conic ice cream holding elements or cups.
- There are already known a lot of containing or holding elements for ice cream products, which are designed so as to protect the ice cream during the processing steps thereof, from the making shop to the storing place and end user.
- These containing elements, which are usually made of a plastic or paperboard material are closed at the top mouth thereof by a closing cover which is firmly engaged with the container body but can be easily disengaged therefrom.
- These containers,in particular, can be made in a lot of configurations, such as a cone configuration with a circular top cover.
- In this connection,it should be apparent that a successfull acceptance of an industrial ice cream will depend, inter alia, from the operation and aesthetic characteristics of the ice cream container.
- On the other hand,as it occurs in other fields, such as the newspaper field,a powerfull increase of the sales of a product can be achieved by associating with the product to be sold some types of toys or the like, possibly together with the possibility of gaining a prize.
- Thus, the main object of the present invention is to meet the above discussed requirements.
- According to the present invention, this objects, and yet other objects which will become more apparent hereinafter, are achieved by providing the ice cream cup with a closure cover including at least a portion thereof which can be raised and removed.
- More specifically, the cover removable portion, e.g made of a paper material,is partially glued on the body of the cover so as to be raised to expose to the view the top surface of the body, thereon wordings can be impressed indicative of an immediate win of a prize.
- Moreover, the above mentioned portion is advantageously provided with perforated lines allowing a part of said portion to be easily removed,in order to be preserved by the user for participating to prize competitions.
- Further characteristics of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment thereof, which is illustrated,by way of an indicative but not limitative example,in the accompanying drawings, where:
- FIGURE 1 is a schematic exploded view of an embodiment of the ice cream cup according to the invention, provided with a top closure cover.
- With reference to the figure,an ice cream cup closure cover according to the invention, which is indicated at the
reference number 1,comprises a supportingelement 2,made of a rigid material, provided with anedge 2′ for tightly and removably engaging therim portion 3′ of an ice cream container orcup 3. - To the supporting element there is partially glued an
element 4,made of paper of any suitable material, the not gluedportion 4′ of which can be raised and/or removed alonglines removable portion 4′ to be easily removed. - Owing to the above disclosed arrangement,an user can be immediately informed about a possible win,by means of suitable indicating
wordings 6 impressed on the top face of the closurecover supporting element 2. - Moreover,on the bottom surface of the
removable portion 4′,which is not glued and defined by theperforated lines - From the above disclosure and accompanying drawing it should be apparent that the invention fully achieves the intended objects.
- While the invention has been disclosed and illustrated with reference to a preferred embodiment thereof,it should be apparent that the disclosed embodiment is susceptible to several modifications and variations all of which will come within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.

2- A closing cover according to claim 1,wherein said cover is arranged so as to be coupled to cone shape ice cream cups.
3- A closing cover according to claim 1,wherein said cover comprises a rigid supporting element adapted to be removably tightly engaged with said cup.
4- A closing cover according to claim 3,wherein on said supporting element there is provided a paper material element provided with a not glued portion which can be rised and folded along perforated lines thereof.
5- A closing cover according to claim 3,wherein said supporting element has a top surface thereon there are impressed wordings.
6- A closing cover according to claim 5,wherein said wordings are provided on a bottom surface of said not glued portion.
