- both legs can spring back at least partially, such that the latching area on the second leg presses against an edge area of the component in question, for example a printed circuit board. Since the locking area is provided on the bent end piece of the second leg, a pull on the pin against its pushing-in movement would have the tendency of the first leg to spring back, but not the second leg, which would move away from it instead of the first leg, which is a Increasing the width of the two catch spring legs would result.
- the exertion of a tensile force on the pin does not lead to a loosening but, on the contrary, to a real jamming and "biting" of the pin or of its detent spring in the relevant hole. It is therefore only possible to pull the pin out of the bore if the second leg is moved in a deliberate and active manner against the first leg and then also the first leg relative to the shaft area against the spring action and is then held in this way.
- Another advantage of the pin according to the invention can be seen in the fact that it can compensate for tolerances in the thickness of the individual components, since the latching area is formed by essentially the entire outside of the bent end piece.
- the second resilient leg can absorb tolerances in the bore diameters, in particular of the printed circuit board, without impairing the function.
- the first leg only has to perform a minimal deflection movement during the pushing-in movement, so that insertion into a bore can take place with less effort.
- the pin 10, 10 'or 10 ⁇ shown in the drawing according to several exemplary embodiments is designed such that it can be latched in a bore in a flat component, such as, for example, a printed circuit board or in mutually aligned bores of two or more flat components lying one on top of the other, it being possible at the same time with the pin to firmly connect the flat components lying one on top of the other.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a pin for latching fastening in a bore of a single or a plurality of planar components lying one on top of the other.
Fastening pins of this type are used where screws or rivets have been used since, namely for fastening, for example, electrical components to, for example, a printed circuit board, the components having a flat plastic component and / or are provided from a metal to be attached to the circuit board. The components must be so securely fastened that they cannot be easily detached. In addition, the fastening pin must be able to establish an electrical connection between a connection on the component and the laminated or provided with conductor tracks underside of the circuit board. Such mounting pins can also be used to connect two plate-shaped components.
In such a fastening pin known from EP-A-271 231, the only leg of the detent spring is provided in the region of its free end with a bulge directed towards the outside, which merges into an inwardly directed flat end. Since the bulge is of the same design both on its insertion side and on its side having the latching area, it can also be pulled out of this latching position as it is inserted into the latching position, since in both cases it has a latch spring leg in the sleeve-shaped shaft area can dodge into it. Such a simple and also inadvertent removal of the fastening pin from the or the bores of the component or components is undesirable and therefore disadvantageous.
The object of the present invention is to provide a pin for locking in a bore of an individual or to create several superimposed flat components of the type mentioned, which can be easily pushed into its latching position in the relevant hole or bores of one or more components, but which cannot be pulled out again without active unlocking, the pin still being structurally simple is constructed and can be produced in a cost-effective manner.
To achieve this object, the features specified in claim 1 are provided in such a pin for latching fastening in a bore of a single or several planar components lying one on top of the other.
Due to the design of the detent spring in the form of two resilient legs and their dimension in relation to the central shaft area diameter, when the pin is inserted into a bore, both the first leg is pivoted relative to the shaft area and the second leg is pivoted relative to the first leg. At the end of the push-in movement, both legs can spring back at least partially, such that the latching area on the second leg presses against an edge area of the component in question, for example a printed circuit board. Since the locking area is provided on the bent end piece of the second leg, a pull on the pin against its pushing-in movement would have the tendency of the first leg to spring back, but not the second leg, which would move away from it instead of the first leg, which is a Increasing the width of the two catch spring legs would result. In other words, the exertion of a tensile force on the pin does not lead to a loosening but, on the contrary, to a real jamming and "biting" of the pin or of its detent spring in the relevant hole. It is therefore only possible to pull the pin out of the bore if the second leg is moved in a deliberate and active manner against the first leg and then also the first leg relative to the shaft area against the spring action and is then held in this way. Another advantage of the pin according to the invention can be seen in the fact that it can compensate for tolerances in the thickness of the individual components, since the latching area is formed by essentially the entire outside of the bent end piece. Furthermore, the second resilient leg can absorb tolerances in the bore diameters, in particular of the printed circuit board, without impairing the function.
With the features of claim 2 it is achieved that the first leg only has to perform a minimal deflection movement during the pushing-in movement, so that insertion into a bore can take place with less effort.
The same is achieved with the features of claim 3, as a result of which the legs are longer and thus the leverage when deflecting is more favorable.
With the features of claim 4, a structural design of the fastening pin is achieved, which allows easier manufacture, since the detent spring only has to be bent back in the end region. The features according to claim 5 can also be expediently provided.
In the known fastening pin mentioned at the outset, the shaft region is stepped on the outer circumference side, with the result that the bores of two planar components lying one above the other must also be correspondingly different. A technically and structurally simpler embodiment results from the features of claim 6, which moreover has the advantage that the pin can be inserted and centered in the bore or holes in question in a simpler manner.
As also realized in the known fastening pin mentioned at the outset, it is possible to form the stop limiting the insertion movement by outwardly bent tabs which are provided on the end of the shaft region which is in the insertion movement. In one embodiment of the present invention, however, the features specified in claim 7 are provided for realizing a stop. This has the advantage of simpler manufacture and material savings.
With the features of claim 8 is achieved that the two Do not cut the detent spring leg when pushing the pin into the inner wall of the hole.

The
The fastening
The
At the other
The
The mounting

Figure 5 shows a
