Abstract

The monoterpenes borneol, isoborneol, camphor and isobornyl acetate are suitable, also in the form of pure substances, as air improvers, also in the undertaking trade.

Im Ames-Test zeigen Kampfer, Isoborneol und Isobornylacetat kein mutagenes Potential.In the Ames test, camphor, isoborneol and isobornyl acetate show no mutagenic potential.

In gesättigter Lösung weisen sie eine Abbaubarkeit von ca. 90 % in 5 Tagen auf.In saturated solution they show a degradability of approx. 90% in 5 days.

Die Anwendung von Borneol, Isoborneol, Kampfer und Isobornylacetat als Luftverbesserer im Bestattungswesen oder Sanitär-Deodorant ist allein oder in Abmischung in folgenden Konfektionierungsformen möglich:
als grob- oder feingemahlenes Pulver,
als grobkörniges Granulat,
als Gieß- oder Preßkörper,
