Abstract

A lighting unit, especially for a lighting system is described and is characterized by a carrier section which has a flattened elongate cross-section which terminates in acute angles at both ends, with all functional elements being concentrated in the central part which always has the largest vertical dimension. Changes of the dimensions lead, as a result of the selected layout to no substantial change in the outer appearance, so that powerful systems can also be realized with the same shape without impairing the external appearance.

Description

SystemleuchteSystem light

The invention relates to a system luminaire, in particular for producing light strip-like lighting structures, consisting of an elongated support profile for receiving fluorescent lamps with a base at both ends, with associated functional elements in the form of ballasts, reflectors, translucent covers and the like.

Known arrangements of this type consist of tubular or box-shaped housings in which a fluorescent lamp or a plurality of fluorescent lamps are accommodated together with the electrical functional elements. In order to be able to create light band-like structures, these housings can be coupled to one another either directly or via connecting parts on the end face. The tubular or box shape of these known arrangements prevents continuous light strips from being achieved in the case of a small-volume design, since electrical functional elements, in particular ballasts, have to be arranged between successive lights in the longitudinal directions, and has a large-volume design when several fluorescent lamps have to be accommodated in one housing , the result that, on the one hand, aesthetically unsatisfactory and often clumsy-looking systems result and, on the other hand, unfavorable beam angles and insufficient efficiencies are obtained.

The object of the invention is to design a system light of the type mentioned in such a way that the integration of the electrical functional elements in the support profile has practically no effect on the appearance of the system light and accordingly enlargements and reductions of the basic shape are possible without changing the to lead aesthetic appearance. At the same time, an improvement in the efficiency, the beam angle and the dimming options should be achieved and it should be ensured that the most varied lighting technology and room design requirements can be taken into account by the possibility of direct, indirect and area-related concentrated lighting.

This object is essentially achieved in that the carrier profile has a flat cross-section which ends at both ends at an acute angle and that at least one chamber-like receiving area for electrical functional elements or at least one fluorescent lamp is formed in the central part of the carrier profile which has the greatest height dimension.

The creation and consequent use of such a support profile in terms of lighting technology, which preferably has the shape of a center-symmetrical convex lens in cross-section, makes it possible, in contrast to systems of other cross-sectional shape, in particular systems with a round or rectangular cross-sectional shape, to accommodate a basic structure intended for a fluorescent lamp, for example to enlarge several fluorescent lamps without proportional or nearly proportional increase in volume. Regardless of the respective light output and size of the luminaire, the external appearance of the system luminaire remains practically unchanged, which is a result in particular of the fact that the structure selected in the middle part of the luminaire provides a space that is optimally suitable for accommodating functional elements, the volume of which can be accommodated changes even with a small reduction or enlargement of the outer contour of the carrier profile. This has a particularly favorable effect when the outer dimensions are enlarged, since even comparatively small enlargements of the outer dimensions in the central region create so much additional space that electrical functional elements which are additionally required can be accommodated without problems.

Particularly advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

The schematic cross-sectional view of FIG. 1 shows a carrier profile 1 which is produced in particular by the continuous casting process and which has the shape of a center-symmetrical, relatively flat convex lens. This support profile 1 is practically only limited by two curved surfaces in the form of an upper shell part 4 and a lower shell part 3, in this embodiment the upper shell part 4 being closed over the entire surface, while the lower shell part 3 has recesses for receiving translucent covers 12.

Through the two shell parts 3, 4 connecting vertical webs 5, a central part 2 is in the carrier profile 1 limited, which forms a receiving area 6 for electrical functional elements, in particular a ballast 7 and in the case shown a busbar 8.

On both sides of the middle part 2 there are profile chambers 9, 10, in which fluorescent tubes 11 are arranged. The associated lamp holders are attached to the front end walls of the support profile.

The flat, lateral areas of the profile chambers 9, 10 are designed as storage chambers 13 for electrical cables 15 and lines. To do this, it is only necessary to form an approximately vertical web 19 on the lower shell part, which can also be used to hold the translucent covers 12 and which extends only over part of the height of the profile chamber, so that the respective storage chamber 13 has a slot for inserting the Lines is accessible.

To produce a narrow, lateral light band, the corner parts 14 of the carrier profile 1 are formed with a receiving slot for a light-concentrating material, and these slots are connected via openings to the profile chambers 9, 10 so that light can pass through the openings and thus these narrow strips of light can take effect.

While the profile chambers 9, 10 have a favorable effect due to their width with regard to the desired radiation angle and also the efficiency, the height of the central part 2 enables all electrical functional elements, in particular ballasts and also additionally provided busbars, to be accommodated without problems. The design of the support profile ensures high mechanical strength as a result of the box construction forming the middle part 2.

Trotz dieser zusätzlichen Möglichkeit der gleichzeitigen Schaffung einer indirekten Beleuchtung werden die Außenabmessungen des Trägerprofils nur unwesentlich verändert.FIG. 2 shows an embodiment variant which, in addition to the direct lighting given in FIG. 1, enables indirect lighting by means of a further fluorescent tube 11 arranged in the middle part 2. A ballast 7 is also arranged in the middle part 2. However, the vertical webs 5 are designed to diverge upwards, so that a favorable radiation angle can be achieved via the translucent cover 12. Despite this additional possibility of creating indirect lighting at the same time, the outer dimensions of the support profile are changed only insignificantly.

Fig. 3 shows an embodiment in which while maintaining the width dimension increases the height dimension and thereby in turn while maintaining the basic shape on the one hand receiving spaces for reflectors 17 to create a desired direct lighting and on the other hand a special receiving space 18 for a fluorescent tube 11 to achieve an indirect Lighting is obtained.

The middle part 2 in this case comprises a receiving area 6 for the ballast 7 and, if appropriate, further electrical functional elements and an overlying, diverging receiving space for the fluorescent tube 11.

A comparatively small increase in the central part of the support profile means that an additional receiving and thus radiation space 18 is available without impairing the accommodation options for the electrical functional elements and, moreover, a comparatively great freedom with regard to the design, i.e. the course and curvature of the reflectors 17 for direct lighting is obtained.

The variant according to FIG. 4 makes it clear that the large area direct lighting which can be achieved by means of a special reflector design can be achieved without difficulty even with a point, for example Shaped lighting can be combined by integrating a busbar 8 fixed in the central part into the support profile, which is suitable for receiving conventional spotlights. Again, all the electrical functional elements are concentrated in the spatially favorable central part, which is also particularly suitable for accommodating these sometimes heavy elements due to its mechanical stability due to the chamber structure.

The embodiment of FIG. 5 illustrates that even in the case of a combination of direct, indirect and, for example, point-shaped lighting and the electrical functional elements required for this, the space available within the support profile can be used in an optimal manner and, at the same time, the necessary mechanical design can be achieved by appropriate profile design Stability is given. Although in this embodiment according to FIG. 7, space is provided in the central part for ballasts arranged opposite one another and a busbar 8 is integrated on the underside, and receiving areas for cables 15 and lines are available, there is no change in the basic shape of the carrier profile. An increase in the height of the support profile accordingly leads to an immediately noticeable increase in volume in the middle part intended to accommodate the functional elements, but does not noticeably change the overall structure and thus the appearance of the system light.

For this purpose, coupling receptacles 20 for tubular elements are provided in the carrier profile, in particular on its upper side, which results in simple plug-in coupling options. In the area of the profile parts, these tube elements can also be firmly integrated, so that there is a continuous tube structure which can at the same time be designed such that — as indicated in FIG. 6 — partial areas of the tube wall are made translucent are and a fluorescent tube 11 is arranged in the connecting tube. In this way, the possibility of achieving indirect lighting is obtained by utilizing the connecting elements, which in turn leads to a favorable overall structure with a comparatively low height of the support profile.

Fig. 7 shows an embodiment in which a tubular element 21 is provided on the underside of the support profile, which can also be coupled with further tubes, and in which a fluorescent tube 11 is arranged in such a way that a shield is provided at the bottom and radiation via the reflection on the upper shell part 4 is achieved.

According to a further special feature of the invention, middle parts and side parts can be formed separately and can be coupled, in particular clipped, so that a modular arrangement is obtained which enables the construction of one- or two-part lamps.

In den seitlichen Profilteilen sind ferner Kammern zur Aufnahme von Funktionseinheiten 25 ausgebildet.7 shows a preferred embodiment variant, in which the carrier profile 1, which has the shape of a convex lens, consists of two identically designed lateral profile parts 24 and a central region, the central region 26 being used to receive one or more fluorescent tubes 11 and corresponding reflectors 17. The lateral profile parts 24 are provided with continuous webs, recesses and undercuts in such a way that simple coupling connections can be achieved with the translucent or opaque covers 23, blind grids or diffusers 22 assigned to the central region 26. In the lateral profile parts, chambers for receiving functional units 25 are also formed.

While the side profile parts together with their mutual connection represent a constant basic structure in this embodiment, the central region 26 can be equipped in different ways with reflectors, covers and fluorescent tubes, so that different radiation characteristics result on one or both sides and thus meet the requirements that arise in practice can be taken into account in a particularly economical manner in the manner of a modular system.

The exemplary embodiments of the invention described, for example, make it clear that the special cross-sectional shape of the carrier profile enables a high degree of variability with regard to the radiation angle and also the dimming options with a high level of efficiency which is always present. These advantageous properties are paired with high stability and optimal weight distribution, whereby it applies to all design variants that, despite different height dimensions, the external appearance remains practically unchanged.
