Description

The invention relates to a security device, in particular as a door lock or anti-theft device in a motor vehicle, each with a portable first and second transmitter and a receiver arranged on the object to be secured for a code signal that is at least partially changeable, in the transmitters and in Each receiver a code signal memory is provided.

Such a security device is known from DE-A 2906665, in which it is possible in principle to set a second transmitter to the valid code signal. However, this is only possible by manually setting the valid code on the second transmitter. To do this, a series of switches must be operated, from whose position the code signal is derived. Apart from this very uncomfortable handling, there is the problem that the uniqueness of the valid code signal is not guaranteed. This results from the high number of options for the choice of the valid code required by security against misuse.

In another known security device (cf. DE-A 2906665), the code signal is changed in connection with the actual security function, for example when a switching signal for opening the locking device is generated when the code signals from the transmitter and receiver match. This joint reprogramming of the transmitter and receiver takes place either automatically with each such switching signal or after a predetermined number of such switching signals. This results in the problem that the use of the safety device with the aid of a second transmitter is not possible, or at least only with considerable difficulty. Due to the electronic, non-mechanical generation of the code signal, for example in the form of a pulse code transmitted by UHF or IR, it is not externally recognizable which code signal is present or whether the code signal has changed compared to an earlier use of the security device.

The object of the invention is to create a security device of the type mentioned at the outset which, although it retains the possibility of changing the code signal, is user-friendly and can also be operated clearly with the aid of a second transmitter.

The invention solves this problem in that the code signal of the first transmitter is transmitted by an arbitrary command by this first transmitter itself and can be written into the code signal memory of the second transmitter.

The arbitrary change in the code signal offers the possibility of also providing the second transmitter with the respectively valid code signal. This can be done, for example, in the form described in more detail below. The code signal only needs to be written into the memory of the second transmitter if it has been changed for the first transmitter. This change is, however, readily known, since it is deliberately made by the owner of the first broadcaster.

The code signal can be changed in different ways. A particularly simple form is to give the command to change the code signal by means of a switch which is located on the housing of the associated transmitter.

The code signal in turn can be generated in various ways. Thus, a code signal generator can be provided within the one (first) transmitter housing, which is activated when the switch is actuated. The code signal generator can be, for example, a random or pseudo-random generator. The latter can be implemented, for example, solely by a counter with a high clock frequency, the duty cycle of which is determined by the switch and remains at a value which is determined by the duration of operation of the switch. Such a generator is also known in principle from DE-A-3 006128.

As an alternative to this, the switch can also activate the read input of the code signal memory at which the changed code signal is present. This can be transmitted, for example, by another transmitter with a code signal generator. In this way it is possible to provide only one such transmitter which generates the respectively valid original code signal and passes it on to the other transmitters in the manner described.

A programming part, which is, for example, a coding rod or a coding disk and can be inserted or rotated in the housing of the first transmitter, can also serve as the code signal generator. With the aid of the programming part, the state of which can be selected manually, for example, the code signal corresponding to the state of the programming part can now be scanned within the transmitter housing and written into the associated memory.

This change in the code signal with the aid of another transmitter can be carried out in a particularly simple manner by using the actual transmission element of the transmitter as a reception element. This is easily possible with a correspondingly small distance between the two transmitters. In the case of a UHF signal, this possibility is known per se, since each antenna also acts as a transmission element.

However, it is now also possible to implement the same measure for an IR code signal. If a diode is used as the IR transmitter element, it also acts as a receiver and delivers an output signal with a sufficiently high level when the input power is high. The stamping of a new code signal can be ensured by the transmitter housing having a shape that is complementary to that of the other ren, is the valid code signal emitting transmitter.

  • Fig. 2 einen alternativen Sender hierzu.
Exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing and explained in more detail below. It shows:
  • Fig. 1 two identically programmable IR transmitters for a code signal in the context of a security device and
  • Fig. 2 shows an alternative transmitter for this.

A security device, not shown in detail, in the form of a locking device for a motor vehicle contains a transmitter 1, the housing 2 of which contains several push buttons. These are pushbuttons 3 and 3 'for sending out a code signal contained in a memory, not shown, with the aid of an IR diode 4 for opening or closing the locking device, and further pushbuttons 5, 6 and 7, with the aid of which a new code signal is stored in the memory is readable. The housing 2 also shows two further IR diodes 9, which are located in the vicinity of the diode 4 and laterally emit an interference signal, as described in DE-A-3149259 (published on June 23, 1983).

The pushbuttons 6 or 7 released after a cover 8 is pushed back into the first or second latching position make it possible to change one of the two variable parts of the code signal. If the push button 6 is actuated, only the so-called change code is changed, but when the push button 7 is actuated the so-called owner code is changed in accordance with a generated new code signal. The distinction between change and owner code and the special way of changing it can be found in DE-AB-2 928 913. The generation of one of the two partial codes takes place in such a way that when the pushbutton 6 or 7 is pressed, a fast-moving one contained in the housing 2 Counter is started and stopped when the pushbutton is released. The current meter reading is read into the memory as a new change or owner code.

After pressing pushbutton 5, a new code signal consisting of a change and owner code can be entered into the memory. If a corresponding code signal is present at transmitter 1, this is recorded with the aid of diode 4, which also acts as a receiver. For this purpose, a second, the transmitter 1 corresponding in structure to the transmitter 1 is, for example, 'as compared with that its corresponding one of the diode 4 transmitting diode 4' this is just opposite, and the code signal from the first station 1 by pressing the corresponding push-button 3 and 3 'sent out. The orientation of the transmitters 1 and 1 'is facilitated by the complementary design of the housings 2 and 2' of the transmitters 1 and 1 'in the form of cams 10 and 10' and receptacles 11 and 11 '. Furthermore, a light-emitting diode 12 is provided in the housing 2, which serves as an operating aid. It lights up when the stored code signal is sent out with pushbuttons 3 or 3 'or when an externally applied new code signal has been stored after pushbutton 5.

In this way it is possible to arbitrarily change the code signal of the transmitter 1 alone. This is done regardless of the change in the code signal in the memory of a receiver, not shown, connected to the object to be secured. The arbitrary change of the code signal for the transmitter alone has the advantage that it only needs to be carried out if the code signal relevant for the security device has been changed. The relevant code signal can easily be impressed on a second transmitter, such as the transmitter 11 shown. Furthermore, errors that occur when the code signal is recorded in the memory of the transmitter have no serious influence on the function of the security device. Such an error can be remedied by reading the relevant code signal into the memory of the transmitter 1 again. If, on the other hand, the transcoding of transmitter and receiver follows at the same time, such an error leads to a discrepancy in the code signals from the transmitter and receiver. The consequence of this is that the safety devices become ineffective or unusable.

An alternative to the code signal generation is shown in FIG. 2. Here, a new code signal is entered into the memory of the transmitter 1 with the aid of a coding rod 13, which can be inserted into the housing 2. Two transmitted light light barriers 14 sit in the latter and, when the coding rod 13 is inserted, scan the code information which determines the code signal and is arranged one behind the other. This information is available on ten successive double fields 15, which can be provided with an erasable line marking 16 in different ways.

With the coding rod 13 of FIG. 2 it is also possible to reprogram a transmitter 1 independently of the receiver.
