Abstract

Each lamp (7) is connected to its own infrared receiver (2) and to a switching and dimming unit as well as an encoding switch assigning the lamp to a particular channel of an infrared transmitter. All lamps responsive to a given channel are controlled independently of those on other channels. A pulse transformer (21) produces signals from the output of a phase circuit (20) to drive the gate electrodes of a MOSFET switching stage (23) which requires a continuous holding signal. ADVANTAGE - System can be installed in existing buildings with min. disruption and by non specialists.

Description

The invention relates to a lighting system according to the Preamble of claim 1.

Luminaire systems are known in which several Light sources jointly supplied via a two-wire system will. Due to the system, all light sources can only be control the brightness together, if not one Control circuit is provided.

Systems according to the prior art additionally require to the two-wire system at least one control line for the independent operation of the light sources.

To install a system this way too existing systems must be completely converted will. In particular in systems according to claim 3 it also hinders a third wire as Lay the control line, as this is usually in tension wire technology be installed where you have the third Line would disturb.

A system is from the patent literature (DE 37 19 384 A1) Known where the light sources belong to a group or are grouped together, individually controllable are - especially in their position - the individual Light sources via control lines with the Receiver unit must be connected.

The object of the invention is to be achieved, each To be able to control the light source individually, but in the existing construction minimal interference should be made. This is also intended for laypersons be possible to convert a lighting system.

In addition, in systems according to claim 3. the problem that the voltage losses in the conventional applied dimmer circuits,  which are preferably designed as phase gating controls the voltage losses are small enough are to reduce the on a 220 V network To keep maximum brightness in tolerable dimensions, however, in a 12 V network there is considerable loss of brightness to lead. In addition, there is a high loss of voltage on the control circuit that this warmed more, which is particularly true for the small size the receiver unit is a hindrance, since this the heat can dissipate worse.

The above task with a lighting system of the type mentioned in the invention by the characterizing features of claim 1 solved. Further advantageous developments of the invention result from the subclaims.

Es zeigtAn embodiment according to the drawing is in the following explained. It shows

Fig. 1 shows the basic structure of a lighting system according to the invention with an infrared transmitter and two light sources with a receiver unit.

Fig. 2 shows the basic structure of the on, off or dimmer unit with a - for MOS-FET transistors - converted phase control.

The receiver unit attached to each light source 7 consists of an infrared receiver 2 and a switch and dimmer unit 3 , as well as a coding switch 6 ( FIG. 1). The channel to which the relevant light source reacts can be set with the coding switch. 2 and 3 obtain their supply voltage and the current for the light source 4 to be controlled from a two-wire line 5 . This two-wire line can advantageously also be an existing tension wire construction, as is often found in low-voltage halogen lamps. A receiver unit consisting of 2 , 3 and 6 must be provided for each light source to be controlled.

With the help of the infrared transmitter 1 , all light sources, each of which is combined under one channel, can now be controlled independently of all other light sources. The dimmer unit according to claim 4 consists of a phase cut control, as is well known in the prior art, which controls a MOS-FET switching stage 23 via a pulse converter 21 . Usually, the phase control 21 controls a triac directly, which is controlled by a voltage pulse at its gate connection and quenched in the zero crossing of the AC supply voltage. The pulse converter 21 now generates a signal from the pulse of the phase control 20 , which controls the MOS-FET stage at the time of the pulse of 20 and maintains this state until it goes out again at the zero crossing of the supply voltage, and thus the MOS-FET -Lock locks again. This is necessary because, in contrast to a triac, the MOS-FET transistors do not keep on their own after firing, but require a continuous signal in order to turn on.
