Dadurch wird u. a. festgestellt, daß der Passagier, der sich am Flugschalter gemeldet und eingescheckt hat auch der ist, der sich im Wartebereich am Flugsteig einfindet. Zu diesem Vorgang des maschinellen Lesens des Magnetstreifens auf der Rückseite der Tasche muß das Ticket aus der Tasche herausgenommen werden, da es den maschinenlesbaren Magnetstreifen auf der Rückseite des vorderen Streifens - von hinten gesehen - abdeckt. Eine größere Ausbildung der Tasche, durch die die Notwendigkeit des Herausnehmenmüssens nicht mehr gegeben wäre, ist nicht möglich, da die Breite des Lesegerätes im Hinblick auf eine sich neuerdings durchsetzende Form der Tickets (sog. Automated Ticket/Boarding Pass, "ATB"), eine ganz bestimmte Breite hat. Wenn man also ein TAT-Ticket in eine Tasche steckt, die bereits nach Format und Funktion für eine Übergangszeit wie ein ATB-Ticket ausgebildet ist, so muß man zum Lesen der Daten das Ticket aus der Tasche nehmen. Dieses Herausnehmen des Tickets aus der Tasche zur Kontrolle beim Betreten des Wartebereiches am Flugsteig und das anschießende Wiedereinlegen ist eine nachteilige Komplizierung. Damit nun gleichzeitig die Bordkarte ebenfalls auf ihrer Rückseite ein Stück des maschinenlesbaren Magnetstreifens aufweist, muß die Bordkarte also in den rückwärtigen Papierstreifen integriert sein. Dies ist auch der Fall; damit sie aber dann dennoch von vorne her lesbar ist, ist der vordere Papierstreifen entsprechend kürzer ausgebildet.
