Abstract

In summary, the device can be described as a unit which permits the hyperthermal healing method to be carried out outside the body of the patient to be treated and in which only blood is treated thermally.

Description

The invention relates to a device according to the preamble of claims to 1. and 2.

That under claim to 1 u. 2 described device belongs currently not recognizable regarding the medical status of the technique.

Conventional hyperthermia therapy is considered recognized medical treatment, in which a short wave or baths according to Schlenz a thera partially desired increase of the body temperature, causing thermolabile pathogens in various infectious diseases weakened or killed be effected.

The previous physical hyperthermia procedures polluted by baths or short waves to a great extent  the whole organism, making it a number of Contraindications had to be considered, especially many cardiovascular diseases, but also ver divorced path. Changes in movement and support apparatus as well as some skin diseases.

By treatment with the device after Oberbe on the one hand, the application standardized and easy to remove hyperthermia correct, on the other hand the thermal load drops of the organism completely, so that practically none Contraindications exist more. Furthermore, with the appropriate duration of treatment, the blood does not only partially, but almost completely thermal Be suspended. For the device after The preamble of claim 2 can equal the blood be extracorporeally UV-irradiated at an early stage, Treatment for a kind of "physical antibiotic" without inevitable side effects and interactions chemical antibiotic.

In the following technical description of the Device is complementary to the attached technical Drawing referred (Appendix 3).

The connection between the device and the patient is established either through so-called cimino fistula (shunt between art. Radialis and V. cephalica antebrachii) or via both arms (left to art. Radialis, right to cubital vein). When entering the device, the blood is heparinized and passed through a blood pump, the flow rate not exceeding 15 ml / min. may lie. The blood passes through the heat exchanger A, the thermal oil filling is heated by means of the sensor by the temperature and switching thermostat controlled Heizsprirale A A regulated to 40-47 degrees C in a plastic tube spiral. Following this warming, the blood passes through the heat exchanger B for temperature feedback, the heat sensor controlled by the temperature sensor and switching thermostat B heating the thermal oil to 37-38 degrees C. This heat exchanger B will be switchable separately if a lowering of the temperature to the normal physiological values is therapeutically inappropriate. A downstream electronic thermostat with an electromagnetic shut-off valve ensures that even if one of the upstream temperature sensors u./o. Switching thermostats do not return excessively warmed blood. The blood is passed through a flat container, which can be irradiated with UV light if the indication corresponds. the flat container serves to enlarge the radiation area. A commercially available air trap with a valve is then switched on, which serves to avoid air pockets in the blood and thus effectively prevents the risk of air embolism. Another device switched on afterwards enables the introduction of medication, O 2 or for volume substitution via a commercially available Luer connection before reinfusion.
