Abstract

The soil-cleaning method and the appliance for carrying it out are based on the fundamental idea of a directed superimposition of two motion components of the soil particles with very high acceleration forces which lead to the detachment of clinging harmful substances. To this end, the soil and the washing solution are fed as a suspension (30) into a channel-shaped treatment chamber (BK). The latter can be designed in particular as a pipeline for a continuous process. The suspension (30) is set in rotary motion (u, u') by high-pressure fluid jets (7, 7', 71, 72, 73), produced by jet nozzles (50) in a nozzle wall (2). The primary rotary motion (u) contains microturbulences (u') of different speed profiles in which the soil particles, the size of which is in the mu m range, correspondingly move in a rotary manner. A superimposed longitudinal movement, produced by ultrasonic pressure waves (4) of corresponding ultrasonic transmitter heads (3), forces the soil particles into zones of different radii and thus different peripheral speeds of the circulating flow (u). The soil-cleaning method is suitable for carrying out on the spot with a corresponding mobile appliance, in which the treatment chambers consist of a multiplicity of pipelines connected parallel to one another. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a method for cleaning contaminated soil. The invention also relates to a advantageous device for performing such Procedure.

Through the intensive industrial use of land, e.g. through refineries, chemical factories and manufacturing plants, think e.g. to companies for electroplating came in Often considerable amounts have been very low in recent decades different pollutants in the soil. In this context is the particular problem of soil contamination from home waste, industrial waste or so-called wild landfills.

Accumulation of the pollutants can reduce the retention capacity of the Floors, so that e.g. Pollutants both in the Ambient air as well as in the groundwater, which for a Drinking water treatment is available. So that this can be remedied, the cleaning would be of the floors with a mobile floor washing system on the affected property a problem solving. The cleaned ones Floors could then and immediately after washing The site must be reintroduced or filled in. Depending on The capacity or size of such a floor washing system could be but it also makes sense to train them stationary and then to transport the soil samples to be cleaned to it.

Based on known washing processes, such as those used for gravel and sandwashing have been used have been various Floor washing systems designed and tested in the test field. It showed that the soil fine fractions with a grain size  under 200 µm can not be cleaned practically because they in the applied process engineering methods (drums, Vats with agitators, spindles and jets) almost "swim" in the washing solution without any inertia. It is so far failed on the particle surface of the floors adhering pollutants due to mechanical friction or Relative movements between the soil particles and the Remove washing solution sufficiently.

The invention has for its object a method for Specify cleaning of contaminated floors with which the overcome the problems outlined by the Fine parts of the soil with a grain size equal or smaller 200 µm are subjected to an intensive cleaning process.

According to the invention, the object is achieved using a method solved for cleaning contaminated floors, which the has the following characteristics:

The respective soil sample and a floating sample Wash solution are used as a slurry in the treatment chamber of a container introduced and with contact surfaces brought into contact with the treatment chamber,
  • b) durch die die zu reinigende Bodenprobe umgebende Kammer wandung hindurch wird wenigstens ein Hochdruck-Fluidstrahl gegen die Aufschlämmung gerichtet, welcher tangential und normal zur Kontaktfläche gerichtete erste und zweite Impulsvektor-Komponenten aufweist, wobei die ersten Impuls vektor-Komponenten in der Aufschlämmung eine Umlauf strömung und dabei Mikroturbulenzen unterschiedlicher Geschwindigkeitsprofile für die aufgeschlämmten Bodenpartikel erzeugen und wobei die zweiten Impulsvektor- Komponenten die Aufschlämmung gegen die Kontaktflächen der Kammerwandung pressen,b) through the chamber surrounding the soil sample to be cleaned through at least one high-pressure fluid jet directed against the slurry, which is tangential and first and second directed normal to the contact surface Has pulse vector components, the first pulse vector components in the slurry one circulation flow and thereby microturbulence of different Speed profiles for the slurried Generate soil particles and the second momentum vector Components the slurry against the contact surfaces of the Press chamber wall,
  • c) von den Kontaktflächen der Kammerwandung her werden Ultraschall-Druckwellen in die Aufschlämmung eingestrahlt, welche den Bodenpartikeln eine ihrer Turbulenz-Bewegung überlagerte Longitudinalbewegung aufzwingen und die Bodenpartikel abwechselnd auf unterschiedliche Drehbewegungs- Radien und damit in Zonen unterschiedlicher Drehgeschwindig keiten verlagern.c) from the contact surfaces of the chamber wall Ultrasonic pressure waves radiated into the slurry, which gives the soil particles one of their turbulence movements  impose superimposed longitudinal movement and the Soil particles alternating to different rotary motion Radii and thus in zones of different rotational speeds relocate.

Advantageous developments of the method according to patent claim 1 are given in the method claims 2 to 10 .

Wie eingangs bereits erwähnt, ist Gegenstand der Erfindung auch eine Einrichtung zur Durchführung des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens, welche gekennzeichnet ist durch einen langgestreckten Behälter mit einem Einlaß für die Aufschlämmung an einem Ende, einer an den Einlaß sich anschließenden Behandlungskammer und einem an die Behandlungskammer sich anschließenden Auslaß für die durchstrahlte Aufschlämmung und welche ferner dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daßAs already mentioned at the beginning, the subject of the invention is also a device for performing the invention Procedure, which is characterized by a elongated container with an inlet for the slurry at one end, one adjoining the inlet Treatment chamber and one to the treatment chamber itself subsequent outlet for the irradiated slurry and which is further characterized in that

  • - mindestens ein die Kontaktflächen für die Aufschlämmung aufweisender Wandbereich der Behandlungskammer rinnenförmig ist und dieser rinnenförmige Wandbereich die Führungsflächen für die Umlaufströmung bildet,- at least one of the contact surfaces for the slurry Wall area of the treatment chamber having a groove and this channel-shaped wall area is the guide surfaces for the circulation flow forms
And that ultrasonic heads in the channel-shaped wall area are attached so that their ultrasound beams Intersect location vectors of the circulation flow,
And that fluid jet nozzle heads on the chamber wall so are attached to the slurry against the contact Press the surfaces of the treatment chamber and the slurry Issue circulation speed components.

Advantageous further developments of this device are in the Claims 12 to 15 specified.

The advantages that can be achieved with the invention are based on Essentially on the constantly changing acceleration and speed differences between the soil particles and the wash solution and shear off the chemical auxiliaries already dissolved pollutants on the  Particle surfaces. In addition, the frictional forces between the soil particles and thus the mechanical Cleaning staff increased. The procedure and the setup are particularly suitable for its implementation continuous continuous process and for a modular system, in which several cleaning modules of the same design are connected in parallel to each other and so the required Throughput, e.g. Processing of 20 t / h soil per hour, can be reached.

Darin zeigt in schematischer, vereinfachter Darstellung:The following are based on the drawing, in which two Embodiments of the invention are shown inventive method and the device for its through tour explained in more detail. It shows in a schematic simplified representation:

Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment of the device in a cross section through the treatment chamber, which has a trough-shaped contact wall carrying the ultrasound heads and an arching nozzle wall.

Fig. 5 shows schematically a plant for floor cleaning, in which a device according to the invention is integrated.

From Fig. 1 can be seen from the device according to the invention, the treatment chamber BK in cross section, with a rinnenförmi gene contact wall 1 and an arching nozzle wall 2nd The contact wall 1 , consisting for example of stainless steel, is elongated in the flow direction y (longitudinal direction); the length of a treatment chamber can be several meters. The contact wall 1 has a cross section in the manner of a flat V. At regular intervals, the contact wall 1 is provided with openings 1.1 , into which ultrasonic transmission heads, hereinafter abbreviated as US heads 3 , are inserted from the outside. Where the flat radiation wall 3.1 of the US heads 3 abuts the bottom wall 1 , it is face-ground and matched within the circular zones 1.2 so that the highest possible proportion of ultrasound can be brought into the slurry 30 . The US heads radiate preferably in the range between 20 and 40 kHz. Their frequency can also be variable from US head to US head 3 in steps of 20 over 30 to 40 kHz etc. The fastening device for the US heads is not shown in detail, nor is its interior and the electrical supply lines. These are US heads, such as those offered by the KLN company in Heppenheim and which emit longitudinal waves 4 , by means of which the liquid contained in the slurry 3 and thus the soil particles contained therein are preferably excited to longitudinal vibrations. Inside the US heads are piezo crystals, made of barium titanate for example, which are excited by an electrical oscillation at their natural frequency and emit them as ultrasound.

The tunnel-shaped nozzle wall 2 is fastened with flanges 2.1 on its two longitudinal sides to correspondingly shaped counter flanges 1.3 of the contact wall 1 . 2 nozzle heads 5 are distributed at regular intervals along the length dimension y to the nozzle wall mounted. In the example shown, five nozzle heads, which are denoted in detail by 5.1 to 5.5 , are arranged distributed over the arc piece of the nozzle wall 2 . In each case through holes 6 in the nozzle wall 2 , the end of a nozzle tube 5 a with a slimmer neck part 5 b is inserted, and from the inside, ie from the concave side of the nozzle wall 2 , the nozzle heads 5 are with an internal thread on the external thread of the respective neck part 5 b screwed on. For this purpose, the nozzle heads 5 and 5.1 to 5.5 are each provided with a polygon 5 c for the application of thread wrenches or screwing tools. As illustrated by the nozzle head 5.2 Darge, the convexly curved end faces of the nozzle heads 5 are provided with a large number of small nozzle bores 5 d through which the fluid exits under high pressure, preferably in the range between 50 and 200 bar, and onto which in the treatment chamber BK each slurry 30 on. The washing solution, which also serves to slurry the floor to be cleaned, can be used as a high-pressure fluid jet. However, compressed air can also serve as a high-pressure fluid jet. It is also possible to apply washing solution to some of the nozzle heads 5 and compressed air to another part. The high-pressure fluid jets 7 (indicated schematically in the nozzle head 5.1 ) have the task of generating an intensely directed circulation flow within the slurry 3 , within which microturbulences for the soil particles arise, and furthermore, the slurry 30 against the contact wall 1 , in particular against to press the ultrasonic introduction zones 1.2 . In the example according to FIGS. 1 and 2, each of the nozzle heads 5.1 to 5.5 with its jet axis 5 'with respect to the flange plane 2.1-2.1 has a different angle, which results in a variety of operating options in order to generate the circulating flow. The fluid jet nozzles, generally designated by 50 , as well as the nozzle wall 2 are also made of corrosion-resistant steel, which is sufficiently resistant to the washing solution used. This can consist of acids, alkalis, other solvents, surfactants and water as a diluent. Examples of other solvents are CH 2 Cl 2 or CHCl 3 , cyclohexane or acetone.

With the device according to Fig. 1 and 2 can be the method of the invention carried out as follows :.

It is assumed that the slurry 30 travels through the treatment chamber BK in a continuous flow process, for example at a flow rate of 1 m / min. The treatment chamber can run horizontally or have an angle of inclination to the horizontal between 0 and 90 °. With a horizontal arrangement or only a slight incline, a portion of the high-pressure fluid jets must have 7 components in the direction of conveyance y ; with a steeper incline, the weight of the slurry can be used for feeding. It is important for the method that at least one high-pressure fluid jet 7 (abbreviated: HD fluid jet) is directed through one of the nozzle heads 5 against the slurry 30 such that it is directed tangentially and normal to the contact surface of the contact wall 1 first and second pulse vector Components 7 a and 7 b . The first pulse vector component 7 a generates a circulating flow u in the slurry 30 , as symbolized by the arrows, whereby microturbulence u 'different speed profiles arise for the slurried soil particles, some of which are indicated schematically. These microturbulences or vortices u 'arise from the high jet speed and the turbulence at the contact surface 1.0 (the surface facing the slurry 30 ) of the contact wall 1 . The second pulse vector components 7 b act normally to the contact surface 1.0 and therefore press the slurry 30 against them, so that there are dynamic pressure forces. As already explained, ultrasonic pressure waves in the form of the longitudinal waves 4 are now radiated into the slurry 30 from the contact surfaces 1.0 of the chamber wall or contact wall 1 , which impose a longitudinal movement on the floor particles and their turbulence movement u , u 'and thereby the floor particles alternately shift to different rotational radii and thus to zones with different rotational speeds. The soil particles and the pollutants still loosely adhering to them are alternately accelerated and decelerated, so that the pollutants or contaminants detach themselves.

Referring to FIG. 1, the high-pressure fluid jet impinges on the slurry 7 to 30 such that the latter flow in a circulating u is displaced with its axis parallel to the contact surfaces 1.0 and is parallel to the longitudinal axis y. According to a favorable method step is alternately injected with the HD fluid jet 7 and the dashed HD fluid jet 7 'through the nozzle head 5.1 or 5.5 , so that the direction of the circulating flow u is abruptly reversed with each switching operation.

The device of Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 can also be operated so that more than the two described HD fluid jets 7 , 7 'are directed against the slurry 30 . These are the additional HD fluid jets 71 , 72 and 73 of the nozzle heads 5.2 , 5.3 and 5.4 , which are switched on in pulses so that each of the HD fluid jets for generating at least one of the two pulse vector components 7 a and 7 b contributes. For example, the nozzle heads 5.1 to 5.5 could be switched on one after the other or with a slight overlap for two seconds each, so that the individual HD fluid jets 7 , 71 , 72 , 73 , 7 ', then in the reverse order 73 , 72 , 71 , 7 etc. are phase-shifted not only spatially but also temporally. The middle nozzle head 5.3 essentially supplies only one pulse vector component 72 b , which is directed normally to the circulation flow u . But this component also contributes to the generation of micro turbulence u 'in addition to its contact forces.

The contact surfaces 1.0 of the treatment chamber BK are preferably concavely curved, so that the formation of the circulation flow u is favored.

As will be explained again later with reference to FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, it is also possible that at least two HD-fluid jets impinge from different directions to the slurry such that the slurry is placed in a circulating flow, whose axes of rotation approximately perpendicular to their contact surfaces run. This is generally possible if a slurry is rotated in a hollow cylindrical treatment chamber about the cylinder longitudinal axis and the ultrasound is irradiated into the slurry from the cylinder jacket.

As already mentioned, the nozzles 50 or the individual nozzle heads 5.1 to 5.5 can be used in a variety of ways, by blowing in compressed air rather than the washing solution through some of these nozzle heads. If the slurry is passed through the treatment chamber BK in a continuous process, shortly before the slurry is discharged through the nozzles 50 , washing water (pure water) can also be introduced into the treatment chamber to wash out the washing solution and the pollutants dissolved by it. Over the length of the treatment chamber BK follow a plurality of nozzles / US head assemblies 50/3 shown in Fig. 1, Fig. 2, so that the slurry is several times consecutively irradiated 30 on their way intensively from the wash solution and the ultrasound.

In a second embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, the channel-shaped contact wall 1 and the nozzle wall 2 are structurally combined to form a pipeline 10 , which in each case accommodates the treatment chamber BK in its interior. The mixture of soil and washing solution, the slurry 30 , reaches the respective treatment chamber BK from the upper end of a plurality of pipelines 10 arranged axially parallel to one another according to arrow 30.1 . The inlet ends of the pipes 10 are designated 10.1 , their outlet ends 10.2 , the pipe axes 10.0 . The nozzles are again generally designated 50 , two nozzle groups 50 a and 50 b are provided per pipe 10 , which are approximately diametrically opposite one another and the fluid jet obliquely to the pipe axis 10.0 , namely with a radial pulse vector component and an axial one Direction of inflow 30.1 opposite impulse vector component. The nozzle pairs 50 a , 50 b are provided within a plurality of nozzle zones 8 , which are axially distributed over the tube length, the high-pressure fluid jets generating a circulating flow of the slurry 30 about the tube axis 10.0 . Ultrasonic head zones 9 are located between the mouths of the nozzles 50 a , 50 b , each of these ultrasonic head zones 9 , preferably also diametrically opposite one another, having ultrasonic heads 3 , the ultrasonic beams of which intersect the flow lines of the circulating flow of the slurry 30 . Between the ultrasound head zones 9 there are further additional ultrasound heads 3 in the area of the nozzle zones 8 , because the latter do not take up the entire tube circumference.

As shown in Fig. 4 in more detail, the slurry is pressed by the their forced circulation flow to the inner surfaces of the pipes 10, and the circulating flow lines by the heads substantially radially irradiating ultrasonic 3 cut. A nozzle 50 or 50 a , 50 b can consist of a multiple nozzle arrangement, with a nozzle feed line 51 for several washing nozzles, namely washing solution in the form of surfactants, solvents, acids, alkalis or pure water or air, these agents individually or depending on the cleaning requirements can be combined or applied sequentially.

From Fig. 4, two nozzle orifices are 50.1 and 50.2 apparent, a further (third) is provided.

Fig. 3 shows that in parallel connection several pipes 10 are arranged as a pipe field RF in the nodes 11 of a grid 12 , leading to those nozzle zones 8 of the pipes 10 arranged in parallel to one another, which lie in the same pipe-transverse plane, common feed lines 13 , which are specifically identified with 13.1 to 13.6 . The feed line pairs 13.1-13.2 , 13.3-13.4 and 13.5-13.6 each belong to a common nozzle zone 8 of an escape of the pipelines 10 .

Fig. 3 also shows that the longitudinal axes 10.0 of the pipelines 10 are substantially vertical and the longitudinal axes 13.0 of the feed lines 13 are substantially horizontal. Fig. 3 further shows that the projected into the respective pipe axis 10.0 jet components of the conveying direction of the slurry are opposite to 30.1 30, as already mentioned. It is achieved that sufficient residence times of the slurry 30 can be achieved within the pipes 10 and that the desired circulating flow can form within the nozzle zones 8 to the desired extent, the two nozzle orifices 50 a , 50 b of the respective pair of nozzles 50 can be operated alternately .

The schematic representation according to FIG. 5 shows the complete passage of a soil sample, starting with a container 14 for the contaminated soil 15 that runs into a funnel. The latter reaches the container of a mixer 17 , which is provided with an agitator 18 , via a screw conveyor 16 . In the mixer, the washing solution 19 of a washing solution container 20 is injected via pump 21 and pipeline 22 with valves 23 , it forms the slurry 30 in the mixer 17 . The latter is fed by means of pump 24 and pipeline 25 to a distribution line 26 , to which the individual pipelines 10 with their treatment chambers BK and fluid jet nozzles 50 are connected. To the latter lead the feed lines 13 , which are supplied by a common main feed line 130 via a pump 27 with the washing solution 19 . Rinse zones SZ of the pipelines 10 are connected to the zones of the treatment chambers BK, the rinse water nozzles 28 being supplied here by corresponding rinse water lines 28.1 and a rinse water pump 28.2 . The rinsed slurry arrives from the rinsing zones SZ of the pipelines 10 via a screw conveyor 29 into a settling basin and filter 31 which has a truncated pyramid or conical bottom part 31.1 with a bottom collecting chamber 31.2 for the bottom particles which have settled out of the slurry. From the collecting chamber 31.2 , the pre-cleaned floor, for example via a further conveyor screw 32 , reaches a rinsing tank 33 , which is supplied with clean washing water under pressure via line 34 . This second slurry then passes through a connecting line 35 with pump 36 to a centrifuge 37 , which spins a largely drained bottom 38 and in its center releases the contaminated first wash water via a line 39 , from which line this contaminated wash water is the first rinse water from the pump 28.2 is sucked in. The water, which is sucked off via a suction nozzle 40 at the upper water level of the settling tank 31 via pump 41 , is fed into a reprocessing section 42 , which is not shown in more detail and is used to recover the chemicals for the washing solution and to separate the soil contaminations, for example, for example Oil, lead components or mercury or the like.
