Abstract

The proposed system permits infusion via a central venous access and simultaneous continous withdrawal of blood as is required in medicine, in particular, for systems in which infusions are controlled by a computer as a function of a current blood value, e.g. glucose. In accordance with the two functions, two catheter parts are housed in a cross-section: 1) a catheter for infusion and 2) a plastic hose for the continous withdrawal of blood, which terminates 10-15 cm before the infusion part. This blood withdrawal part has several eccentrically extending channels through which anticoagulant flows to the funnel-shaped end and is admixed there with the blood, without passing into the patient's blood stream, and an axial channel through which the mixture of blood and anticoagulant is aspirated.

Criticism of the state of the For continuous blood collection in the case of unfavorable Technique: peripheral vascular conditions or centralized circulation is the peripheral Vessel connection unsuitable or

In addition, in the small vessels of the periphery often with mechanical disturbances due to contact with the catheter or vascular collapse to be expected.

Task: The proposed system enables over a central vascular duct is infused and blood is continuously withdrawn at the same time can be.

Solution: In an approximately round cross-section are corresponding the two punctures, two catheter parts housed -, 1. a catheter for infusion and 2. a plastic tube for continuous blood collection, which is approx om ends before the infusion part. This blood collection part has several eccentric running channels through which Antikeagulans flows to the funnel-shaped end and mixes with blood there without getting into the patient's bloodstream and becomes one axial channel through which the blood-anticoagulant mixture is sucked.

Achievable advantages: Possibility of 1. from a central vessel such as continuously withdrawing blood from the subclavian vein with the advantage of less This vascular access is susceptible to failure and 2. via one and the same access at the same time to infuse.

Description: An embodiment of this system is shown in the drawing 4 and shown in detail in drawing 1-3 and will be explained in more detail below described.

In an approximately round cross-section there are correspondingly two Functions two catheter parts housed (drawing 2), 1. a catheter for infusion, 2. a plastic tube to remove the hat.

Zu 1. To 1.

The infusion catheter has a back that holds the blood collection tube is recorded (drawing 2).

The infusion part protrudes approx. 15 cm beyond the blood sampling part, so that the infusion solution cannot interfere with the blood sampling (% calibration no 4).

Zu 2. To 2.

The blood collection part is a tube with an axial channel and several eccentric. running channels (drawing 1). Because of the eccentric Channels is supplied with heparin (E 1,2,3,4) to the continuously sucked blood not to curdle. The blood heparin mixture passes through the axial channel (B) sucked in. The mixture of supplied heparin and sucked blood takes place in the funnel-shaped end of the blood collection tube (drawing 1). Here are the channel mouths and the funnel angle so coordinated that heparin only serves to anticeagulate the sucked in blood, but not into the bloodstream of the patient.

The axial channel is made from the blood sampling part at the proximal end of the catheter led out (drawing 5) to be led to the analyzer pump.

The vascular system is accessed via a metal cannula-plastic cannula combination according to the BraunulenR system, with the metal cannula after puncturing the vein is pulled and the catheter is advanced through the remaining plastic cannula into the vessel will. This cannula and the catheter are fixed to one another via a union nut (Drawing 4).
