Abstract

The casing, for handheld electrical devices, has a perforated outer wall and plates made of plastic or a rubber-like material. The plates (or foils) are fixed (bonded) to the perforated wall and have numerous short, round-headed posts projecting from one surface. The posts are positioned so that they pass intot he holes in the perforated wall and project a short distance on the other side of the wall. A third plate (22) or layer is sandwiched between the perforated wall and the plate and holds the electrical device's components. Alternatively, the third plate or layer may be attached to the inside of the plate. The advantage lies in cheap fabrication.
