Abstract
Description
Marker pen - Film to be exposed by X-rays is expedient when exposed to markings, the important data of these Identify and label exposition. This happens, for example, with medical X-ray examinations by placing individual metal letters on the cover of the pilm which absorb the X-rays during subsequent exposure, so that the pilm is not exposed at these points, i.e. light in the negative film remain. The number of marks to be made on the film in this way is on the one hand due to the size of the film or the "dead space" limited to such a film, on the other hand also by the cumbersome nature of the Attachment. So it is generally only possible to place horizontally lying film on this Way to label; in the case of vertical films one makes do with this, that the letters are hung in front of the film on chains. For films that like be placed in the mouth in dentistry, for example, is one such Marking not possible at all.
The simultaneous marking of those to be exposed by X-rays Pilme has the advantage that the films with regard to the position of the to be screened Organs or the direction of the fluoroscopy without the risk of later confusion can be designated.
It must be taken into account that x-rays do not it can be concluded without further ado about the illuminated object, since it is Organs are not exposed, i.e. not accessible for visual examination. A description of at least the exposure situation is therefore absolutely necessary.
After the film has been developed, the film is still there to provide the necessary object data, i.e. with the date of the recording, with the Designation of the object or, in medicine, the name of the patient as well as with further data classifying this recording. This further lettering However, it is only possible exactly when the exposed and developed films are again Return to the x-rayed objects without making mistakes. This is there, as already mentions that the visual impression is missing or can even be deceptive, by no means uncritical, so that assignment errors can often be observed.
Such assignment errors can be avoided if these further data classifying the recording and assigning it to the object when exposed to would be entered into the film, making them indelible are associated with the recording.
However, this is due to the conventional marking by means of applied letters not possible for the reasons mentioned.
The best option would be to handwrite those interested Apply data to the cover of the film material prior to exposure in such a way that this handwritten notes when x-raying the object with on the film material appear. In the case of handwritten notes, the location of the item to be x-rayed can be indicated Object must be taken into account, so that only the "dead résumé" of the film material is labeled. It is of course also possible to change the size of the characters the respective size of this "dead space", i.e. the footage about the Object stands out, adapt.
To make this possible, a marker pen is used according to the invention proposed to put markings on by X-ray shine serves to be exposed film material and which is characterized in that in the stick material X-ray absorbing and / or scattering when marking on the film material or its shell contains adhesive substances.
Das bekannteste Röntgenstrahlen-absorbierende Material ist Blei. The best known X-ray absorbing material is lead.
The lettering could well be made of soft lead, in the form of a lead is brought to be carried out. However, since lead is not physiologically harmless its use in the medical sector is not advisable. aside from that soft lead can only be applied in a relatively small layer thickness, the causes sufficient absorption only with very soft X-rays. It will therefore proposed according to the invention that the pin material a means of a Ballpoint pen tip to be distributed, preferably pasty mass, or a waxy mass, the absorbent substance being colloidal to the paste or wax mass is to be added. A suspension can of course also be used these substances are prepared and applied to the shell of the Silmmateriale, for example again with a ballpoint pen tip or with appropriate writing implements. It is also quite possible, especially in hospital X-ray stations, the paste containing the absorbent material from a writing tube, for example by means of compressed air.
Such devices are known and are used, for example, for application used by substances containing radium.
With regard to the selection of absorbent materials should be considered that these substances, especially when used in medicine, are physiological are harmless. This is not the case with thermosetting radiation from technical objects absolutely necessary, as special procedural rules can be given here, which also in all rule must be observed, but is also recommended here the use of such materials that are used without much ado can. Heavy metal floods are particularly recommended for this of precious metal or of platinum metals. It should be noted here that the absorption coefficient increases with the ordinal number of the absorber material, that is, to with the lowest possible Layer thickness to be able to work, if possible, substances with a high atomic number as absorbent or dispersing materials should be used. Can the order be in If the layer is thicker, the use of barium sulfate is also recommended, this for its absorbing properties towards X-rays as well as because of its physiological harmlessness is known and already used as a contrast medium is used in X-ray diagnostics.
Decisive for the absorption of the substances is their absorption capacity also the layer thickness. It must therefore be ensured that the characters be applied in the greatest possible layer thickness. This can be done after another The feature of the invention is achieved in that the casing of the film material is roughened or is provided with a fine grid, whereby the pencil material, and thus the absorbent material that penetrates the roughness of the shell or the grid depressions fills in such a way that there is a large layer thickness of the applied material results.
The use of the marking pen according to the invention fulfills the Requirement made at the beginning, according to which film material to be exposed by X-rays must be labeled before exposure in such a way that the label is written after Exposure appears on the exposed film so that confusion is ruled out are and the necessary legend of the recording in each case when they are created is given,
