Abstract

The implant comprises a semi-circular shell-like body which is symmetrically divided and which is designed for insertion into the aorta or pelvic arteries. Der Nachteil dieser Ge­ fäßstützen gegenwärtig ist, daß aufgrund ihrer großen Cirkumferenz auch im zusammengefalteten Zustand eine Einbringung in die Körperschlagader nur über eine operative Freilegung der Bein­ schlagader möglich ist, darüber hinaus ist der maximale Durchmesser dieser Systeme gegenwärtig auf 26 mm begrenzt. Der in dem Patentanspruch unter Punkt 1-4 genannten Erfindung liegt zu­ grunde, die maximale Cirkumferenz des einzubringenden prothetischen Materials dadurch zu ver­ kleinern, daß beide Beinarterien zur Applikation von zwei kleineren, halbkreisförmigen Gefäß­ stützen benutzt werden, die sich im Bereich des Applikationsortes zu einer größeren Gefäßstütze vereinigen.
