brennen. The subject of the present invention is a method for the automatic control of the gas flow in liquid heaters. For this purpose, a gas burner b is attached under the heating coil a or under any boiler, to which the gas is fed through a valve c. In addition to valve c , a small hole d is drilled through the valve wall in a known manner, which always supplies some gas to the burner, even when the valve is closed, so that the burner always burns with a small flame. It should now each time when water is taken from the heater, ie when the water fiiefs in the outflow pipe e, resp. is in motion, the valves are opened automatically, so that the water flowing through the heater is heated by the large flame that is produced. When the water is at rest again, the valve should close and the flame should burn small again.
Um dies zu erreichen, ist folgende Einrichtung getroffen:In order to achieve this, the following facility is in place:
Verbindet man
The outflow pipe e is narrowed at one point / so that the speed of the water at this point is greater than at another point (e.g. k) in the pipeline. As is well known, as long as the water flows through the pipeline, the pressure at point / will be lower than at point k. The gas valve c is now connected to an elastic membrane h by a rod g and is held closed by a spring i . If you connect the upper of the two spaces formed by the membrane with the outflow pipe e at the narrowed point / and the lower space with the outflow pipe e at point k, the gas valve will be closed when the water is at rest, there open the same pressure prevails on both sides of the membrane. However, as soon as the water is in motion, a lower pressure will prevail at the narrowed point / the outflow tube, i.e. also over the membrane, than at the point k of the outflow tube or. under the membrane; the latter is bent upwards and opens the gas valve. When calm occurs again, the spring closes the gas valve because the pressure above and below the membrane is equalized.
