Um das Telefonieren beim Tragen einer Gasmaske zu ermöglichen, sind besondere Gasmasken, sogenannte Telefonmasken, bekannt, in deren Maskenwand ein Mikrophon gasdicht eingebaut ist. Dabei ist es weiterhin bekannt, die Verbindungsschnur dieses Mikrophons an ihrem freien Ende mit einem Verbindungsstück in Form einer sogenannten Kontaktplatte zu versehen, die an Stelle des Mikrophons im Handapparat in diesen eingesetzt wurde und die die Verbindung zu den Gegenkontakten im Handapparat herstellt. Die bekannten Telefonmasken sind einmal aus dem Grunde nachteilig, daß innerhalb der Maske ein Mikrophon untergebracht werden muß. Dadurch ergibt sich ein verhältnismäßig umständlicher Aufbau der Maske, der auch ihre Herstellung erschwert. Ein weiterer Nachteil besteht darin, daß zum Sprechen jeweils das Mikrophon am Handapparat gegen die Kontaktplatte ausgetauscht werden muß. Zur Behebung dieses letzteren Nachteiles ist auch vorgeschlagen worden, die Anschluß schnur des Maskenmikrophons mit einem Stecker auszurüsten, der in ein Kontaktstück eingesteckt werden kann, das an der Verbindungsschnur des Handapparates angebracht ist. Dabei ist dieses Kontaktstück so ausgebildet, daß beim Anschließen des Verbindungsstückes des Maskenmikrophons das Mikrophon des Handapparates ausgeschaltet wird. Dies ist notwendig, da die Forderung besteht, daß einem vorhandenen Mikrophon eines Handapparates ein zweites Mikrophon nicht parallel geschaltet werden darf. Auch diese Verwendung eines Verbindungsstückes ist nachteilig.
