Zum einen sind direkt abbildende Beleuchtungsvorrichtungen bekannt, die eine Mehrzahl von in einer Reihe angeordneter Leuchteinheiten aufweisen mit einem LED-Leuchtelement, einem Reflektor und einer Linse, die jeweils koaxial zueinander angeordnet sind. Nachteilig an der bekannten Beleuchtungsvorrichtung mit direkter Abbildung ist, dass sie anfällig für Lagetoleranzen ist. Darüber hinaus müssen die LED-Leuchtelemente auf mehreren Trägerplatten bzw. einer flexiblen Trägerplatte angeordnet sein, damit die Leuchteinheiten in einem dreidimensionalen Raum verteilt sein können.
