Abstract

The method involves controlling a voltage that is supplied from a voltage source (4) of a LED-array (2). The voltage is increased until preset desired current flows through LED-lines (6) with a threshold-voltage, in an initializing mode for the lines. The lines are switched on and off by clocked and independent control of switches (9) of the lines to provide an effective current that flows through the lines and that approximately corresponds to its nominal current, where the threshold-voltage of the lines is lower than an operating-voltage. An independent claim is also included for a circuit for controlling an LED-array.
