Abstract

Verfahren zum Bereitstellen verbesserter Verfügbarkeit eines käuflichen aufzeichnungsfähigen Medieninhalts, der von einem entfernten Server heruntergeladen wird, mit den Schritten:
Bereitstellen einer Download-Option für einen Benutzer und
Aktualisieren der Download-Option zeitlich unmittelbar nachdem eine Änderung der Download-Ressourcen die Verfügbarkeit der Download-Option ändert.

Claims (26)

  1. Verfahren zum Bereitstellen verbesserter Verfügbarkeit eines käuflichen aufzeichnungsfähigen Medieninhalts, der von einem entfernten Server heruntergeladen wird, mit den Schritten: Bereitstellen einer Download-Option für einen Benutzer und Aktualisieren der Download-Option zeitlich unmittelbar nachdem eine Änderung der Download-Ressourcen die Verfügbarkeit der Download-Option ändert.
  2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, das weiterhin den Schritt des Empfangens einer Mitteilung von dem entfernten Server, wenn sich die Download-Ressourcen ändern, aufweist.
  3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, das weiterhin den Schritt des Anzeigens der Download-Option an einer Anzeige-Einrichtung aufweist.
  4. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Schritt des Aktualisierens weiterhin den Schritt des Auslassens der Download-Option, die aufgrund einer stärkeren als der geplanten Nutzung der Download-Ressourcen nicht mehr für den Benutzer verfügbar ist, aufweist.
  5. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Schritt des Aktualisierens weiterhin den Schritt des Hinzufügens einer Download-Option, die aufgrund einer schwächeren als der geplanten Nutzung der Download-Ressourcen für den Benutzer verfügbar ist, aufweist.
  6. Verfahren nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die hinzugefügte Download-Option aufgrund dessen, dass ein zweiter Benutzer eine zuvor gewählte Download-Option abbricht, verfügbar ist.
  7. Verfahren nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die hinzugefügte Download-Option für den Benutzer über eine Vielzahl von Zeitintervallen verfügbar ist.
  8. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Schritt des Aktualisierens in einem periodischen Plan zeitlich vor der Startzeit eines nächsten vordefinierten Download-Plans erfolgt.
  9. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Schritt des Aktualisierens auf das Anfordern der Download-Option durch den Benutzer hin erfolgt.
  10. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Schritt des Aktualisierens weiterhin den Schritt des Aktualisierens der Preisfestsetzung für die Download-Option aufweist.
  11. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, das weiterhin den Schritt des Anforderns des Downloads des käuflichen aufzeichnungsfähigen Medieninhalts aufweist, wobei der Download durch die von dem Benutzer gewählte Download-Option definiert wird.
  12. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Download-Ressourcen Vorwärts-Bandbreite, Signalisierungsunterstützung und Serverspeicherung umfassen.
  13. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, das weiterhin den Schritt des Benachrichtigens des Benutzers, wenn der Download des käuflichen aufzeichnungsfähigen Medieninhalts beendet ist, aufweist.
  14. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, das weiterhin den Schritt des Speicherns von käuflicher-aufzeichnungsfähiger-Medieninhalt-Informationen, der Download-Option und einer mit der Download-Option verbundenen Preisfestsetzungsoption in einer Datenstruktur aufweist.
  15. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, das weiterhin die Schritte des Bereitstellens der Benutzer-Mitteilung, dass die vor der Download-Ressourcen-Änderung gewählte Download-Option nicht verfügbar ist, und des Bereitstellens einer aktualisierten Download-Option, die, wenn sie gewählt wird, das zeitlich frühere Herunterladen des käuflichen aufzeichnungsfähigen Medieninhalts als die anfangs gewählte Download-Option ermöglicht, aufweist.
  16. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, das weiterhin die Schritte des Bereitstellens der Benutzer-Mitteilung, dass die vor der Download-Ressourcen-Änderung gewählte Download-Option nicht verfügbar ist, und des Bereitstellens einer aktualisierten Download-Option, die, wenn sie gewählt wird, das zeitlich spätere Herunterladen des käuflichen aufzeichnungsfähigen Medieninhalts als die anfangs gewählte Download-Option ermöglicht, aufweist.
  17. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, das weiterhin die Schritte des Bereitstellens der Benutzer-Mitteilung, dass die vor der Download-Ressourcen-Änderung gewählte Download-Option nicht verfügbar ist, und des Bereitstellens einer aktualisierten Download-Option, die, wenn sie gewählt wird, das Herunterladen des käuflichen aufzeichnungsfähigen Medieninhalts über eine andere Dauer als die anfangs gewählte Download-Option ermöglicht, aufweist.
  18. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, das weiterhin die Schritte des Bereitstellens der Benutzer-Mitteilung, dass die vor der Download-Ressourcen-Änderung gewählte Download-Option nicht verfügbar ist, und des Bereitstellens einer aktualisierten Download-Option, die, wenn sie gewählt wird, das Herunterladen des käuflichen aufzeichnungsfähigen Medieninhalts zu der gleichen Zeit wie die anfangs gewählte Download-Option ermöglicht, aufweist.
  19. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, das weiterhin die Schritte des Bereitstellens der Benutzer-Mitteilung, dass die vor der Download-Ressourcen-Änderung gewählte Download-Option nicht verfügbar ist, und des Bereitstellens einer aktualisierten Download-Option, die, wenn sie gewählt wird, das Herunterladen des käuflichen aufzeichnungsfähigen Medieninhalts zu einem anderen Zeitpunkt und mit einem anderen Qualitätsniveau als die anfangs gewählte Download-Option ermöglicht, aufweist.
  20. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, das weiterhin die Schritte des Bereitstellens der Benutzer-Mitteilung, dass die vor der Download-Ressourcen-Änderung gewählte Download-Option nicht verfügbar ist, und des Bereitstellens einer aktualisierten Download-Option, die, wenn sie gewählt wird, es dem Benutzer ermöglicht, in Bereitschaft für den Empfang des käuflichen aufzeichnungsfähigen Medieninhalts der anfangs gewählten Download-Option gehalten zu werden, aufweist.
  21. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, das weiterhin die Schritte des Bereitstellens der Benutzer-Mitteilung, dass die vor der Download-Ressourcen-Änderung gewählte Download-Option nicht verfügbar ist, und des Bereitstellens einer aktualisierten Download-Option, die, wenn sie gewählt wird, das Herunterladen eines anderen käuflichen aufzeichnungsfähigen Medieninhalts anstelle des käuflichen aufzeichnungsfähigen Medieninhalts der anfangs gewählten Download-Option ermöglicht, aufweist.
  22. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, das weiterhin die Schritte des Bereitstellens der Benutzer-Mitteilung, dass die vor der Download-Ressourcen-Änderung gewählte Download-Option nicht verfügbar ist, und des Bereitstellens einer Umgehungsoption, die, wenn sie gewählt wird, es dem Benutzer ermöglicht, den Nichtverfügbarkeitsstatus zu umgehen und den anfangs gewählten käuflichen aufzeichnungsfähigen Medieninhalt durch Zahlen eines Aufgelds zu empfangen, aufweist.
  23. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Schritte des Bereitstellens und Aktualisierens der Download-Option weiterhin die Schritte des Bereitstellens und Aktualisierens der Preisfestsetzung für die Download-Option umfassen.
  24. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Schritte des Bereitstellens und Aktualisierens weiterhin die Schritte des Bereitstellens und Aktualisierens einer Vielzahl von Download-Optionen umfassen.
  25. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, das weiterhin den Schritt des Herunterladens des käuflichen aufzeichnungsfähigen Medieninhalts in ein tragbares Medium in einem tragbaren Medienlaufwerk, das mit einem Medien-Client-Gerät verbunden ist, mit einer höheren Geschwindigkeit als der Echtzeit-Wiedergabegeschwindigkeit aufweist.
  26. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, das weiterhin den Schritt des Herunterladens des käuflichen aufzeichnungsfähigen Medieninhalts in ein tragbares Medium in einem tragbaren Medienlaufwerk, das mit einem Medien-Client-Gerät verbunden ist, mit einer niedrigeren Geschwindigkeit als der Echtzeit-Wiedergabegeschwindigkeit aufweist.
