Abstract

背景技术
电池操作装置,如无线传输/接收单元(WTRU>愈常寻找送至此处的可能数据,该装置消耗电力愈多。在不仅提供用电话的通话方式,亦提供数据传输的网络及装置中,该装置寻找自网络的消息的方式依据该装置是否寻找进来的电话或进来的数据传输而有所不同。
关于用电话的通话方式,用户习惯于地面网络,其中在特定电话号码被拨号后,铃声几乎立即被听到。为符合在无线环境的此期望,一种WTRU必须常常扫描网络以最小化当认知一个人发出电话时建立连接的延迟,亦即,该WTRU必须常常扫瞄网络以寻找拨入的电话以最小化当网络送出一个呼叫讯号或消息及当接收WTRU实际上检查到该呼叫讯号间的时间。
此种装置非常合适用于用电话的通话方式,但对数据传输则为效率差的。关于数据传输,不需要确保几乎实时响应于一呼叫所必须的严格要求。当传输数据至如传呼机及类似装置的WTRUs时,较长的延迟一般是被容忍的。然而,一般希望此种装置“实时”响应显示有拨入数据传输的消息,所以,当处理数据传输时,在某些情况下,该网络亦必须被相当频繁地扫描,但即使在此种情况下,网络必须被扫描的频率少于当处理用电话的通话方式时。
可接受的延迟量依据被传输的数据形式及用户的喜好而异,例如,当数据被非频繁地更新时,<例如交通或气象数据>,较长的延迟可被容忍。在传呼机的情况下,合理的响应时间应以用户所预期的时间延迟以响应经传呼消息的方式被评估。在多重网络传输<例如股票报价、运动比分等>的情况下,一些用户希望数据偶尔被更新以使它们具较长的电池寿命,其它用户较不在意电池寿命且仅希望数据快速被更新。希望常常更新的用户的实例为希望快速信息更新的人及他们的WTRU连接至外部电力供应的人。在如股票报价的情况下,如有偶尔观看者,及希望有立即变化通知的人,如此,若用户希望快速响应消息,响应时间应相当快速,但仍远大于WTRU知晓有拨入电话的所需响应时间。
因此,希望具一种方法及系统以有效地支持数据传输及用电话的通话方式。
发明内容
一种无线网络允许WTRUs可根据同步调度以停顿操作模式操作,同步信息被提供至该WTRUs以通知它们何时它们可为停顿模式及何时它们必须唤醒及回复数据。

具体实施方式
根据本发明,同步信息被提供至该无线传输/接收单元<WTRUs>以通知它们何时它们可为停顿模式<亦即何时它们可为睡眠状态>及何时它们必须唤醒及回复数据。为叙述本发明目的,一种WTRU可具仅传输、仅接收、或传输及接收能力,亦即,一种WTRU可为能在无线环境接收及/或传输数据的任何形式装置。
现在参照图1,一种网络的代表被表示,其中一或更多基站21与多个WTRUs通讯,例如被提及的WTRU 22,当叙述本发明时。如解释,WTRU22可为由网络支持的任何数目的装置,实例包括用户设备<UE>、手机、传呼机、Blackberry<TM>装置、具调制解调器连接的计算机或能够在无线环境操作的任何其它装置。该基站21由无线电网络控制器<RNC>25控制,其执行各种网络监督及通讯功能。该基站21包括讯号处理电路31及RF阶段32,其包括传输功能。由基站21的讯号被传输至在其小区或传输区域<以天线33、34表示>内的WTRUs。WTRU 22具RF阶段37及讯号处理阶段38,一种接收功能由WTRU的RF阶段37提供以接收由基站21传输的讯号。在双路径装置的情况下,RF阶段32及37皆具传输及接收功能,允许WTRU22在上行传输数据及在下行接收数据。虽然传输需要较接收显著为大的能量,停顿操作的课题主要影响下行,故WTRU 22的接收器功能为显著的。
根据本发明,当RF阶段37正在接收来自基站21的讯号,WTRU 22使用其讯号处理电路38以控制,此允许WTRU 22的接收功能的操作主要在当讯号被预期要包括意欲用于特定WTRU 22的数据的期间为活动的。在至少一些当讯号不欲用于特定WTRU 22的数据的时间期间,WTRU变得停顿,此表示由WTRU 22的大部份接收及讯号处理被关断。

在另一具体实施例中,数据可以多网络传输的方式被传输,亦即,如所述,一些用户希望信息仅偶尔被更新以有利于较长的电池寿命,然而其它用户希望数据快速地被更新而较不在意电池寿命。所以,在此具体实施例中,数据以符合用户更新频率对电池寿命的喜好的速度被传输<即使没有任何数据变化>。藉由以同步化的速度快速地传送数据<亦即以用户所欲的最高可提供速度>及重复该传输即使当没有任何数据变化时,个别接收WTRUs可根据用户喜好在不同时间间隔唤醒及搜寻数据,藉由提供可调整设定程度,此满足两组用户<及在二者之间>的需求。
因可接受延迟量依据特定用户应用而变化,在延迟及电力消耗间的任何协议对不同用户具不同最适值为可能的,所以,延迟<亦即延迟时间>可基于用途被最佳化,因低延迟与低电力消耗冲突。当WTRU未于主动使用时间的期间,此变得更为特别显著。
为于第三代蜂窝式网络进行此具体实施例,一旦接收WTRU知晓经调度广播或组播传输,之后该接收WTRU可基于需求基准获得在前向存取信道<FACH>或下行共享信道<DSCH>上传输的服务<亦即经调度广播或组播传输>。网络会于无线连结控制透明或非确认模式传输广播或组播数据,其允许该接收WTRU决定接收是否为独立被需求的而不需要交互作用或是引起要在网络上被认知的误差。
在多重网络传输被提供的本具体实施例的改良为仅直到在网络的范围确认接收有某些WTRUs才被传输。此改良具当传输不再为必要时可结束传输并亦提供一些强健性(robustness)至信息传输以适当地起动装置的优点。此改良具需要自WTRUs的上行传输的缺点及可能不合适大量的WTRUs。关于在第三代蜂窝式网络的实施,有多个网络确认替代方案,例如,当有单一接收WTRU,无线连结控制确认模式提供确保传输的自动回复请求机制,当有多个接收WTRUs,层3确认可由在存取层内的无线资源控制信令或是由非存取层信令的透通性的数据转移而被提供。
在另一具体实施例中,网络仅传送等待传输的消息,亦即,而非一直传送消息,在某些例子,更有效为仅通知WTRUs有要给它们的消息存在。在第三代蜂窝式网络消息的可提供性由共享控制信道<例如BCCH>辨识,希望消息的这些WTRUs而后要求其自网络的传输,消息的要求可为特别消息或组播服务的登录以接收伴随该服务的一或更多消息,当仅少量WTRUs被预期要要求实际消息时,且多个WTRUs希望进行此工作的实际能力时,此方法是合适的。此情况可能发生,例如在通知WTRUs的消息存在的初始传输中仅有限信息的情况。在第三代蜂窝式网络中,该接收WTRU会以层存取层或非存取层信令的方式产生服务的要求,而后网络信令广播调度信息或是建立专属无线承载以进行服务传输。亦即,知道具要求消息或多消息服务的WTRUs的数目的网络决定传输的最有效方法,若有很多接受者,信息的调度会在共享控制信道上信令,此信息可辨识共享信道如FACH或DSCH,及服务接收的传输时间。若为少量的WTRUs要求消息或服务,专属信道会被建立至每一个伴随此消息或服务的要求或登录的WTRU。
现在参考图2,包括由基站至多个WTRUs所传输的传输序列的帧图被示出。如所提及,当伴随此消息或服务的特定WTRU或一组WTRUs为唤醒的并寻求数据时,传输的递送被同步化以使导引至伴随此消息或服务的特定WTRU或一组WTRUs的消息被递送,为完成此,在一个具体实施例中,该传输被区分为帧54,其中七十二(72)个帧54构成一个超级帧(superframe),如图2所示。为简化叙述本发明,两个超级帧51、52的部份被示出。然而,应注意超级帧51、52为超级帧重复系列的一部份,亦应注意具72个帧的超级帧被提供仅做为实例,因其它多重帧序列为可能的。
帧54被区分为时隙56,如帧71的扩充视图71E所示。在每一个帧(例如帧71)的时隙56包括被指定为如零(0)至(14)的传输分组,每一个时隙56可包括意欲用于一或更多装置的数据,做为实例,时隙6包括WTRU101的数据及时隙12包括WTRUs 102及103的数据。
WTRUs 101至103较佳为同步化它们的接收以使它们能够在它们个别的放置时间间隔接收数据。数据接收的固定时间期间的使用表示一旦WTRU被提供其同步化消息(亦即关于意欲用于该WTRU的讯号的特定时间顺序的消息),该WTRU可于一部份超级帧以此时间顺序同步化及维持睡眠状态(亦即停顿)。此产生减少的电力消耗因为在睡眠状态的WTRU具大部份或所有RF接收电路为关断的。该WTRU较佳为使大部份其讯号处理电路亦被关断。在此具体实施例中,电力消耗的减少约略对应于被忽略的帧数目。
一旦被同步化,WTRUs 101至103仅在其个别时隙被唤醒伴随特定插入期间(已知为传输时间间隔(TTI))的无线帧及多重帧。由网络的眼光,对每一个超级帧,在传输数据至WTRU 101,网络会等待帧71、时隙6。
应注意若需要时,WTRUs可于其它时间唤醒(亦即除了它们的经指定时隙),例如,可能因某些共同讯号唤醒。此外,网络及WTRUs可被采用以使特殊“唤醒”讯号被自网络传输至特定WTRU或一组WTRUs,于此WTRU(s)必须被唤醒及在它们的指定时隙外接收数据。
应注意使传输成为超级帧、帧、及时隙的区分可依所欲变化。例如,在上文的讨论,假设WTRU在至少每一个超级帧唤醒及在至少一个帧的至少一个时隙寻找数据。然而,如所述,数据传输可依所欲提供给用户以满足用户对电池寿命及数据更新频率的喜好。所以,特殊同步化机制的时序可类似地被变化。做为实例,其可能产生在网络数据递送及其WTRU的接收,其中在WTRU唤醒期间,超过一个超级帧通过,在此期间WTRU唤醒及在其指定帧及时隙寻找消息。

Claims (15)

1.一种同步化在无线通讯网络及在其内的WTRUs操作间的数据传输的方法,该方法包括:
建立在帧内提供的数据同步化调度,其中每一个帧包括多个时隙,而至少一个帧包括意欲用于至少一个在无线通讯网络内的WTRU操作的数据,该同步化调度为每一个帧辨识那一个时隙包括意欲用于那一个WTRUs的数据;
在该时隙被辨识为包括意欲用于该WTRU的数据期间激活该WTRU以接收数据;及
在该时隙未被辨识为包括意欲用于该WTRU的数据期间将该WTRU置于停顿状态。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中每一个时隙包括多个WTRUs的数据。
3.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中该帧被组合为一系列帧且每一个WTRU被指定在一系列帧内的一个时隙。

提供具多重网络传输的调度的WTRUs;

于前向存取信道传输多重传输。
11.如权利要求10所述的方法,其中该多重传输是在一下行共享信道传输。
