Description
本发明涉及复合粒子,它们表现出对于无机和有机颜料的显著改进,按照所用的颜料材料,它们可用作可见光和/或红外光的吸收剂,因此可用作赋色剂和/或红外光(IR)的吸收剂,在基质中产生的雾度可以忽略。
本发明的复合粒子(composite particles)可被用于透明度要求高的(换句话说雾度低的)介质中,如透明清漆、油漆、塑料、玻璃或者由这些材料制成的涂料。但是,它们也可以用来在非透明的介质中调节色调。
众所周知,为了不产生额外的雾度,用在透明体系中的无机颜料的粒度应在10纳米以下或者只有几十纳米。在有机颜料的情况下,如果它们的折射率比较低,该粒度的限制可以设得高一些,但是太大的颜料粒子会产生雾度。此外,这些小的粒子(也称为“纳米粒子”)必须极好地和稳定地分散在基质中,因为这些粒子的聚集(换句话说形成了次级粒子)还会产生雾度并常常导致颜色的改变。
用于解决该问题的已知技术方案的缺点是,以必需的分散度将纳米粒子掺混到基质中去是耗时耗钱的。对一般以粉末或糊浆形式存在的粒子施以强的剪切力(如研磨),以将那些团粒打碎成小的单元。这些小单位能散射光,从而使基质(如涂覆表面的黏合剂)的雾度变得可以忽略不计。和打碎由比较大的初级粒子(>100纳米)构成的团粒相比较,将聚集的纳米粒子打碎成分开的初级粒子需要大得多的努力。然而,实践上将纳米粒子完全解聚对于透明着色是绝对必需的,常规透明颜料很差的分散性对于它们的使用而言成为极重大的缺点。
已有报道(WO 95/09895)说,当把UV光吸收颜料用于化妆品时,UV吸收的无机粒子在粒度为300纳米左右的介电粒子之中或之上的分布(这些粒子又被掺混到作为载体的基质中)确保了基质的透明度。形成这些大介电粒子的材料依所用的基质而定,使得由介电粒子和颜料构成的复合粒子的折射率和它周围基质的折射率只有极小的差别,因而在光谱的整个可见部分有最大的透光率。但是,该出版物仅公开了UV吸收粒子,如TiO2和ZnO。该发明的目的是要在400纳米以上的波长范围获得尽可能高的光学透射率,这就不可避免地排除了带色的颜料和太阳IR吸收剂。
改善透明颜料的透明性和可掺混性的努力都以颜料的可分散性为靶标。例如,有报告说,通过有机(JP-A 07 126 018)或无机(JP-A 05 208 829)处理细颜料或该颜料粒子表面的涂层,可以改善细赤铁矿粒子的可分散性。通过改善粒子表面和基质之间的相容性,或屏蔽颜料粒子之间的粘合力,可以减少为达到分散所需的努力。尽管如此,为了达到透明、深度的着色,所有这些建议的方法仍需要极为费力的工作,才能分散到几乎是初级粒子的粒度。事实上,在用二氧化硅(EP-A 0 997 500)对氧化铁赤铁矿粒子进行二级处理时,二氧化硅比例超过20%显然是不合理的,因为用少得多的二级处理材料已经能达到抗老化和改善可分散性这两个需要的效果。
负载的粒子(也可以着色)的生产和它们用作非均相催化剂的用途已有报道(Catal.Today(1997),34,281-305)。也已报道了氧化铁赤铁矿涂覆在二氧化硅上面用作非均相催化剂(React.Kinet.Catal.Lett,(1999),66,183-188)。但是没有提及可能用作透明颜料的用途,而且催化剂性质向聚合物或涂料基质中光学颜料性质的转变绝不是显而易见的。
为了用合成的方法调节一种矿物(thivier’s earth),将针铁矿晶体变型中的氧化铁粒子的压缩饼掺混入二氧化硅的分散体中(EP-A 0 947 564)。然而,该工作的对象是一种氧化铁的粒度优选具有0.1-1微米范围内的复合材料。这产生不了透明色,而是如本领域技术人员立刻就知道的,是一种散射色。因此,这些颜料不适用于有机基质的透明着色。
本发明的目的因此是提供特别地改性的高度透明的复合粒子,它们能吸收可见和/或红外光,但不显示已有技术中已知的缺点。红外(IR)光在此是指这样的光,它位于太阳辐射可见极限的一侧,即在约700纳米和约2500纳米之间的波长范围。
本发明的目的是通过这样的复合粒子达到的,所述复合粒子包括粘附着于初级粒度平均为1纳米-200纳米的固体无机或有机无色载体粒子上的初级粒度平均为1纳米-100纳米,优选1纳米-50纳米的无机和/或有机颜料粒子,因此,所述颜料初级粒子基本上不与其它颜料粒子聚集并且基本上彼此之间保持着某种最小的距离,或者这些颜料初级粒子可能形成的粒度小于100纳米,优选小于50纳米的团粒,并且彼此间保持某种最小的距离。所述的最小距离一般至少应为粒子或团粒直径的四分之一。在上下文中,术语“颜料”指吸收可见光和/或红外光的粒子。
现已发现,将初级粒度为1纳米-100纳米的单个颜料粒子与由半导体氧化物或聚合物粒子(其初级粒度为1纳米-10微米,优选1纳米-500纳米)的团粒构成的载体结合是有利的。为了避免雾度,这些由负载的颜料构成的复合粒子在基质中只要求非常粗的因而是简单的分散,因为粒度高达几微米的这些负载颜料的中度聚集不会在基质中产生雾度,因此是可以容忍的。在此,术语“基质”指介电材料,如透明清漆、油漆、塑料、玻璃、或涂料。在上下文中,初级粒度定义为相应于相同体积的球体的直径。

所述的载体粒子或围绕着颜料粒子的壳层因此起着光学活性的颜料芯的间隔物的作用,这些载体粒子的大小可高达数十纳米,以便使它们电磁去耦。当以这种方式去耦时,即使载体粒子或包封粒子发生聚集,也不会产生显著的光散射。用负载或包封的粒子减少光散射的另一个条件是,制造载体或壳的材料具有和周围的基质相似的折射率。在载体或壳和颜料之间的大多数材料组合中,载体材料事实上应具有比周围的基质低些的折射率,在少数情况中则是比周围的基质高些的折射率。在所有的情况中,负载或包封的颜料的平均折射率只与周围的基质的折射率稍有不同,因而进一步使光散射最小化。
本发明因此提供复合粒子,它包括粘附着于初级粒度平均为1纳米-200纳米的固体无机或有机无色载体粒子上的初级粒度平均为1纳米-100纳米,优选1纳米-50纳米的无机和/或有机颜料粒子,其特征在于,所述颜料初级粒子基本上不与其它颜料粒子聚集并且基本上彼此之间保持着某种最小的距离,该距离一般应为颜料初级粒子直径的四分之一。
本发明还提供复合粒子,它包括被其它初级粒子(也称为包封粒子)或被固体无机或有机涂料包封的初级粒度平均为1纳米-100纳米,优选1纳米-50纳米的无机和/或有机颜料粒子,该壳的涂层厚度一般至少为所述颜料初级粒子直径的八分之一。
本发明还提供含有初级粒度平均为1纳米-100纳米,优选1纳米-50纳米的无机/和/或有机颜料粒子的团粒的复合粒子。所述团粒黏附在平均初级粒度为1纳米-200纳米的固体无机或有机的无色载体粒子上,其特征为这些团粒平均小于100纳米,优选小于50纳米,彼此之间一般保持某种最小的距离,该距离一般应为团粒直径的四分之一。
本发明还提供含有初级粒度平均为1纳米-100纳米,优选1纳米-50纳米的无机/和/或有机颜料粒子的团粒的复合粒子。所述团粒平均小于100纳米,优选小于50纳米,用固体的或颗粒状的无机或有机涂料包封,壳的总涂层厚度一般至少为团粒直径的八分之一。
本发明还提供如上所述但含有各种类型的颜料粒子、载体粒子和/或包封粒子混合物的复合粒子。
本发明另外还提供由所述的复合粒子构成的透明着色材料和/或透明的IR-吸收涂料,其可掺混入透明清漆(如聚酯、丙烯酸类、醇酸树脂、氯化橡胶、环氧树脂、丙烯酸类树脂、油、硝化纤维素、聚酯、聚氨酯清漆以及硝酸纤维素和醇酸树脂的复合清漆)、塑料或玻璃。
本发明另外还提供透明着色材料和/或透明的IR-吸收材料,其由塑料(如聚碳酸酯、聚酰胺、聚乙烯、聚丙烯、聚甲基丙烯酸酯、聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯、聚氨酯、聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯、聚苯乙烯、聚苯乙烯-丙烯腈)或玻璃构成,并将本发明的复合粒子掺混于其中。
术语“无机颜料”涵盖Cu、Ag、Au、Pt、Pd、Co之类的金属或这些元素的合金,半导体如硅和金属及半导体的所有氧化物、氮化物、磷化物、硫化物,以及其他材料如铝酸盐,特别是氧化铁和羟基氧化铁、氧化铬、硫化镉、硒化镉、硫硒化镉、钒酸铋、铬酸颜料、群青颜料、铁蓝颜料和混合相颜料(如掺杂的金红石颜料)。术语“无机颜料”还涵盖掺杂的材料,如掺锡的氧化铟、掺铝的氧化锌、掺锑的氧化锡、掺氟的氧化锡或掺金属的二氧化硅。
适合作为本发明的无机颜料的材料也是其晶格(主体材料)中掺有外来离子的无机材料,因此这些材料能发出荧光。这些材料具体包括用在荧光屏和灯泡中的所谓磷光体的所有材料和材料类型,如引述在Ullmann’s Encyclopediaof Industrial Chemistry,Wiley-VCH,第六版,1999 Electronic Release,chapter entitled″Luminescent Materials:1.Inorganic Phosphors″。适合作为本发明的无机颜料的材料因此包括XY∶A类型的材料,其中X是元素周期表主族1a、2a、3a、4a,副族2b、3b、4b、5b、6b、7b或镧系元素的一个或多个元素的阳离子,Y是元素周期表主族3a、4a、5a,副族3b、4b、5b、6b、7b和/或8b的一个或多个元素和主族6a和/或7的元素的多原子阴离子,或者是主族5a、6a或7a的单原子阴离子,A是由选自镧系元素和/或主族1a、2a元素和/或Al、Cr、Tl、Mn、Ag、Cu、As、Nb、Nd、Ni、Ti、In、Sb、Ga、Si、Pb、Bi、Zn、Co的一个或多个元素构成阴离子的掺杂材料。掺杂材料在主晶格中的浓度为10-5摩尔%-50摩尔%,优选0.01摩尔%-30摩尔%,特别优选0.1摩尔%-20摩尔%。

用作载体粒子或包封粒子的材料的合适例子包括金属和半导体的氧化物、氟化物、氯化物、以及例如铝硅酸盐或聚合物,它们在可见光谱范围内是基本上透明的。
术语“体积浓度”涉及在复合粒子的固相的总体积中颜料体积的比例。该总体积是颜料体积与载体材料体积之和,扣除复合材料中的空隙。
在一个优选的实施方案中,相对于颜料/载体复合材料,非金属颜料的体积浓度为1%-60%,金属颜料的体积浓度为1%-40%。在一个特别优选的实施方案中,相对于颜料/载体复合材料,非金属颜料的体积浓度为10%-50%,金属颜料的体积浓度为5%-20%。
在一个优选的实施方案中,相对于包封的颜料复合材料,非金属颜料的体积浓度为1%-60%,金属颜料的体积浓度为1%-40%。在一个特别优选的实施方案中,相对于包封的颜料复合材料,非金属颜料的体积浓度为10%-50%,金属颜料的体积浓度为5%-20%。
在一个更加优选的实施方案中,载体粒子或包封材料在可见光谱范围中的实数折射率为1.3-1.9。例如,将二氧化硅用作载体材料或包封材料是特别有利的。
在理想的情况中,由颜料和载体粒子构成的复合材料的折射率和基质的折射率是相同的,该基质是要将该复合粒子掺混进去而达到着色的目的的。在此特别优选的实施方案中,颜料相对于颜料/载体复合材料的体积浓度近似于由以下数学关系得到的数值:
Cvol≈(Nma-Ntr)/(Npi-Ntr)
其中Cvol是颜料相对于颜料/载体复合材料的体积浓度,Nma是该复合材料要掺入的基质的折射率,Ntr是载体材料的折射率,Npi是颜料的折射率。在此,在所有情况中,折射率指实数折射率。
然而,复合材料的折射率与周围的基质的折射率可以稍有不同,优选其差别不超过0.3个单位。
在一个更加优选的实施方案中,载体/颜料复合材料或颜料/包封粒子复合材料的可以容许的团粒的粒度为小于50微米,特别优选小于10微米,最优选小于2微米,目的是避免肉眼可见的斑点,并确保均匀察觉的颜色或红外吸收。
在另一个更加优选的实施方案中,复合材料可用无机的或有机的二级处理在表面上进行修饰,使得复合材料在基质中的分散性得到改善。
实施例
实施例1
为了表现本发明复合粒子的有益效果,使用粒度为约10纳米,已被涂覆在二氧化硅粒子上的氧化铁纳米粒子(赤铁矿)。该粒度是通过电子显微镜观察测定的。
载体颜料的制备:
为了制备氧化铁溶胶,将2.7克氯化铁(III)(FeCl3.6H20)溶解在50毫升蒸馏水中。将另外450毫升蒸馏水加热至沸腾,在深度搅拌下在沸点温度下滴加新鲜的氯化铁(III)溶液(小于2毫升/分钟)。将该溶液再沸腾10分钟然后冷却。在水中形成了赤铁矿晶形的氧化铁(III)纳米粒子。为了将这些氧化铁粒子涂覆在二氧化硅载体上,量取200毫升蒸馏水并将3.2克二氧化硅粒子(Aerosil200,Degussa,DE)分散在其中。为了改善分散状态,预分散体可用超声波棒处理(200瓦,5分钟)。搅拌下将氧化铁溶胶加入二氧化硅分散体中,加入氢氧化钠溶液直到pH值为3.5,混合物再搅拌5分钟。离心分离出固体,在真空炉中在80℃干燥数小时。
试验复合粒子的颜色特性:
按照下述方法制备油漆膜。基料油漆包含3500.0克醇酸树脂AlkydalF48(在38∶7的石油溶剂:甲苯中含55%干残留物,Bayer AG,DE),385.0克溶剂石脑油100,28.8克2-丁酮肟(55%在石油溶剂中)和96.3克乙二醇乙酸酯的混合物。用摇床(Olbrich paint mixer 5000转/分钟)进行分散。用一个100毫升的宽颈玻璃瓶(圆)作为研磨单元。使用50.0克直径为1.6毫米-2.5毫米的氧化铝球。向研磨单元(100毫升的宽颈玻璃瓶(圆))中加入40.0克上述的基料油漆混合物(约48%干残留物)、干燥剂、0.38克含24%铅的Octa-Soligen铅;0.10克含6%钴的Octa-Soligen钴(皆得自Borchers GmbH,Monheim,DE))和一定量的复合粒子,得到的赤铁矿浓度为1重量%(相对于干油漆)。然后将该混合物分散3小时。在分散之前立即加入干燥剂。
使充分分散的油漆滤过一次性筛网(目宽为约280微米)。为了评价颜料,用涂覆辊系统(间隙高度按要求)将分散的油漆分布在黑瓦和白瓦(毛玻璃瓦)上。在室温干燥1天然后在干燥烘箱中在65℃干燥1小时。在紫外和可见光谱区记录漫反射光谱。
图1和图2表明了含有本发明的复合粒子的油漆的有益性质。这些图表明在黑色和白色基材上的油漆涂层的漫反射率是波长的函数。
在黑色基材上的该油漆的反射率(图1)几乎与波长无关,在400纳米-800纳米范围内的变化仅在0.6%-1.8%之间。在白色基材上(图2),反射率从400纳米波长处的1%以下升高到760纳米处的75%。这表明了含有本发明复合粒子的油漆具有低的散射力和高的吸收能力。
在该油漆膜中,由负载颜料构成的复合材料处于差的分散状态。电子显微照片(图3)表明存在粒度高达几微米的团粒。在未负载的颜料中,这种团粒不可避免地导致不需要的雾度(见对比例)。
即使在差的分散状态下,负载颜料的有利视觉颜色通过用Perkin ElmerLambda 900比色计测量的CIELAB值说明(见表)。

实施例2
为了表现本发明复合粒子的有益效果,使用粒度为约10纳米,已被涂覆在二氧化硅粒子上的氧化铁纳米粒子(赤铁矿)。该粒度是通过电子显微镜观察测定的。
复合材料的制备:
氧化铁分散体如实施例1制备。
为了将这些氧化铁粒子涂覆在二氧化硅载体上,量取190毫升蒸馏水并加入10.7克二氧化硅粒子的分散体(Levasil300/30,Leverkusen,DE)。搅拌下将氧化铁溶胶加入二氧化硅分散体中,加入氢氧化钠溶液直到pH值为3.5,混合物再搅拌5分钟。离心分离出固体,在真空炉中在80℃干燥数小时。
颜料的颜色性质如实施例1所述的进行试验。
图4和图5表明了含有本发明的复合粒子的油漆的有利性质。这些图显示了在黑色和白色基材上的油漆涂层的漫反射率是波长的函数。
在黑色基材上的该油漆的反射率(图4)几乎与波长无关,在400纳米-800纳米范围内的变化在1%以下。在白色基材上(图5),反射率从400纳米波长处的1%以下升高到720纳米处的75%。这表明了以含有负载的氧化铁颜料的复合粒子为基础的油漆具有低的散射力和高的吸收能力。
包含负载的颜料的复合材料在该油漆膜中是处在很差的分散状态中。电子显微照片(图6)表示,存在粒度范围高达数微米的团粒。在未负载的颜料的情况下,这种团粒不可避免地会产生不希望的雾度(见对比例)。
负载颜料的有利的视觉颜色通过用Perkin Elmer Lambda 900比色计测量的CIELAB值说明(见表)。

实施例3
称取40克阳离子调节过的二氧化硅分散体Levasil200S(Bayer AG,DE)。搅拌下迅速加入75克颜料含量为4重量%的颜料纳米粒子的分散体(BayscriptMagena VPSP 20015,Bayer AG,DE)。然后滤出固体,洗涤,并在80℃干燥。然后将这样得到的品红-二氧化硅复合材料粉末进行干磨。使用Pulveri sette2(Fritsch GmbH,Idar-Oberstein,DE)磨机。该磨机以臼磨的原理工作。研磨单元、臼和杵都是用玛瑙制造的。通过在杆杠臂上移动砝码,对杵负载最大的压力。砝码和杆杠臂保持齐平。臼的速度为70转/分钟(电源频率为50Hz时)。臼的内径为150毫米。杵的直径为70毫米。按照厂商的说明书调节塑料剥离器,使得要被研磨的材料通过壁被推到杵的下面。称入2.0克颜料。研磨时间为30分钟。
试验复合粒子的颜色特性:
按照下述方法制备油漆膜。基料油漆包含3500.0克醇酸树脂AlkydalF48(在38∶7的石油溶剂:二甲苯中含55%干残留物,Bayer AG,DE),385.0克溶剂石脑油100,28.8克2-丁酮肟(55重量%在石油溶剂中)和96.3克乙酸1-甲氧基-2丙酯的混合物。用球磨机(PM 4高速行星磨(Retsch GmbH & Co.KG,Haan DE))进行分散。磨的运动程序可叙述如下:多达4个研磨容器(行星)绕着共同的中心点旋转。轨道至研磨容器中心的半径约为15厘米。在围绕中心点(太阳)的每次旋转中,研磨容器(行星)又围绕着它们自己的垂直轴以相反的方向旋转大约1.2次。磨的速度为250转/分钟。使用10个直径为15毫米的玛瑙球和80个直径为10毫米的玛瑙球。向研磨单元(250毫升玛瑙研磨容器)中加入100.0克上述基料油漆混合物(约48%干残留物)、干燥剂(0.94克Octa-Soligen铅,Pb含量为24%,0.25克Octa-Soligen钴,Co含量为6%,Borcher GmbH,Monheim,DE)和一定量的复合粒子,得到复合粒子相对于干油漆的浓度为13重量%。然后整个混合物分散4小时。在刚要开始分散之前加入干燥剂。充分分散的油漆滤过一次性筛网(目宽度约为400微米)。
为了评价复合粒子,用涂覆辊系统(间隙高度按要求)将分散的油漆分布在无吸收性的黑卡片和白卡片上(湿膜厚度=120微米)。油漆过的卡片(涂层)在室温至少干燥12小时。
图7和图8表明了以本发明的复合粒子为基础的油漆的有利性质。这些图显示在黑色和白色基材上的油漆涂层的漫反射率是波长的函数。
在黑色基材上的该油漆的反射率(图7)与波长稍有关系,在400纳米-800纳米范围内的变化在3.2%以下。在白色基材上(图8),反射率从560纳米波长处的约1%升高到750纳米处的90%以上。这些结果表明了以含有负载的有机品红颜料的复合粒子为基础的高度透明的油漆具有低的散射力和高的吸收能力。
实施例4
根据现有技术(DE-A 2 508 932,US-A 2 558 304),通过在乙醇酸的存在下用氢氧化钠溶液沉淀,接着进行空气氧化的方法,从FeSO4溶液制备了一种透明的α-FeOOH晶形的氧化铁颜料(BET比表面积约为110米平方/克)。滤出颜料,洗去盐,滤饼用去矿化水稀释至28.2克FeOOH/升。悬浮体的pH值为3.5。
Levasil 300二氧化硅溶胶,约30重量%二氧化硅(为Bayer AG,DE产品)用去矿化水稀释到31.5克SiO2/L。分散体的pH值为10.3。
将100毫升去矿化水放在烧杯中,将FeOOH和SiO2各15克以特定的稀释分散体的形式在室温下在1小时内用2个软管泵在搅拌下同时加入。进一步搅拌30分钟后,pH值为6.4。
用膜过滤器(孔径0.45微米)滤出复合材料并用去矿化水洗涤,直到滤液的导电率<100μS/cm。在75℃干燥并用粉末磨(Starmix)解聚集后,得到21克淡黄色粉末,用氧化还原滴定测得FeOOH的含量为63.5重量%。
如实施例3所述进行所得的复合粒子的颜色性质的试验,不同的是这次在高速行星磨中的分散时间是只有60分钟,选择称入的量,使得颜料沉积水平为5%FeOOH(相对于FeOOH+油漆之和)。
图9和图10表明了以本发明的复合粒子为基础的上述油漆的有利性质。这些图显示在黑色和白色基材上的油漆涂层的漫反射率是波长的函数。
在黑色基材上的该油漆的反射率(图9)与波长稍有关系,在400纳米-800纳米范围内的变化在2.5%以下。在白色基材上(图10),反射率从400纳米波长处的约1%升高到750纳米处的约77%。这些结果表明了以含有负载的氧化铁(针铁矿)颜料的复合粒子为基础的高度透明的油漆具有低的散射力和高的吸收能力。
复合粒子的有利的视觉颜色通过用Perkin Elmer Lambda 900比色计测量的CIELAB值说明(见表)。

实施例5
掺杂锡的氧化铟(ITO)的纳米粒子的水分散体(Nanogate GmbH,Saarbrucken,DE)含有20重量%分散在乙醇中的ITO。将4克热解的二氧化硅Aerosil200(Degussa AG,DE)分散在100毫升水中,将5克ITO分散体在剧烈搅拌下加入。离心分离固体,在真空炉中在80℃干燥数小时。所得的ITO-二氧化硅复合材料粉末然后进行干磨。使用在实施例3的条件下用Pulverisette2磨机。
试验复合粒子的颜色特性:
按照下述方法制备油漆膜:基料油漆包含3500.0克醇酸树脂AlkydalF48(在38∶7的石油溶剂:二甲苯中含55%干残留物,Bayer AG,DE),28.7克2-丁酮肟(55%在石油溶剂中),48.7克Octa-Soligen钙4碱性(BorcherGmbH,Monheim,DE),8.1克Octa-Soligen钴6B(Borchers GmbH,Monheim,DE),32.0克Octa-Soligen锆6(Borchers GmbH,Monheim,DE)和57.7克乙醇酸正丁酯的混合物。
用在DIN EN ISO 8780-5(1995年4月)中叙述的自动研磨机将复合粒子掺混入油漆中。(JEL25/53,J.Engelsmann AG,Ludwigshafen,DE)。有效钢板直径为24厘米。下位钢板的速度大约75转/分钟。通过在负载挂钩上悬挂2.5千克负载重量,将两块钢板之间的力调节为0.5kN。用叙述在DIN EN ISO8780-5(1995年4月),第8.1节中的方法,在单一阶段的100次旋转中分散300毫克的复合粒子和2.00克的油漆。打开研磨机,迅速将油漆收集在中心点外的下位钢板上。然后加入2.00克油漆,把板合上。在两个不加负载重量的各50次旋转阶段后,结束制备。用薄膜分布器将混合了复合粒子的油漆涂覆在非吸收性的黑色和白色卡片上(湿膜厚度=120微米)。在室温将涂覆过的卡片(涂层)干燥12小时。在紫外、可见和近红外光谱区记录漫反射光谱。
图11和图12表明了以本发明的复合粒子为基础的上述油漆的有利性质。这些图显示在黑色和白色基材上的油漆涂层的漫反射率是波长的函数。
在黑色基材上的该油漆的反射率(图11)几乎与波长无关,在400纳米-800纳米范围内的变化在3%以下。在白色基材上(图12),反射率从650纳米波长处的90%下降到1800纳米处的10%。这表明了以含有负载的氧化铟颜料的复合粒子为基础的高度透明的油漆具有低的散射力和高的吸收能力。
实施例6
如实施例2所述制备含有氧化铁-二氧化硅复合材料的复合粒子。如此得到的粉末然后干磨。使用在实施例3的条件下用Pulverisette2磨机。
然后制备一块用所述的复合粒子着色的塑料片材。使用不含添加剂的,未稳定化的聚碳酸酯(Makrolon2808,Bayer AG,Leverkusen)(重均分子量约为28000(MW,通过GPC测得)、溶液黏度η=1.28(5克/升二氯甲烷))为所述塑料。将1克复合粒子加入199克聚碳酸酯粒料中,得到0.5重量%混合物。将此放入混合器(Brabender混合器)中,在230℃、30转/分钟的速度混合10分钟。随后将冷却的材料放在热压机(Weber,model PW-20)上在250℃熔化7分钟,然后在200kN的压力下模压成小片(90毫米×60毫米×2毫米)。用这种方法得到了含有0.5重量%的复合粒子的聚碳酸酯片,该复合粒子含有大约20重量%赤铁矿和大约80重量%二氧化硅。为了掺混入聚碳酸酯,对赤铁矿和二氧化硅的含有比例按照引述在说明书中的关系式Cvol≈(Nma-Ntr)/(Npi-Ntr)进行优化。下文中将这个样品称为样品(a)。
为了评价颜色和透明度,测定该聚碳酸酯片的三色激励值(按照CIELAB,用照明物D65,10°观察者)和雾度(按照ASTM D 1003)。得到雾度值为9%,三色激励值为L*=56.2;a*=28.7;b*=63.3。
为了比较的目的,用实施例2的方法制备了复合粒子,其中赤铁矿对二氧化硅的重量比为(b)大约50重量%/50重量%;(c)大约33重量%/67重量%;(d)大约10重量%/90重量%。然后用本实施例的方法将这些复合粒子掺混入聚碳酸酯中。为了确保在每一个聚碳酸酯样品中所含的着色赤铁矿含量相似,聚碳酸酯中的负载颜料的含量为(b)约0.2重量%,(c)约0.3重量%,(d)约1重量%。
以下为所得的聚碳酸酯片的三色激励值(按照CIELAB用照明物D65,10°观察者,Perkin Elmer,Lambda 900)和雾度(按照ASTM D 1003):

上表说明,样品(a)的散射效果最低。按照上述的数学关系,样品(a)的复合粒子中赤铁矿与二氧化硅的比例最适于聚碳酸酯基质材料。
实施例7
掺杂锡的氧化铟(ITO)的纳米粒子的水分散体(Nanogate GmbH,Saarbrucken,DE)含有20重量%分散在乙醇中的ITO。将4克热解的二氧化硅Aerosil200(Degussa AG,DE)分散在100毫升水中,将20克ITO分散体在剧烈搅拌下加入。离心分离固体,在真空炉中在80℃干燥数小时。所得的ITO-二氧化硅复合材料粉末然后进行干磨。使用在实施例3的条件下用Pulverisette2磨机。
然后制备一块用上述方法制得的复合粒子着色的塑料片材。使用不含添加剂的,未稳定化的聚碳酸酯(Makrolon2808,Bayer AG,Leverkusen)(重均分子量约为28000(MW,通过GPC测得)、溶液黏度η=1.28(5克/升二氯甲烷))为所述塑料。将3.2克复合粒子加入196.8克聚碳酸酯粒料中,得到1.6重量%混合物。将此放入混合器(Brabender混合器)中,在230℃、30转/分钟的速度混合10分钟。随后将冷却的材料放在热压机(Weber,model PW-20)上在250℃熔化7分钟,然后在200kN的压力下模压成小片(90毫米×60毫米×2毫米)。用这种方法得到了含有1.6重量%的复合粒子的聚碳酸酯片,该复合粒子含有大约50重量%赤铁矿和大约50重量%二氧化硅。为了掺混入聚碳酸酯,对赤铁矿和二氧化硅的含量比例按照引述在说明书中的关系式Cvol≈(Nma-Ntr)/(Npi-Ntr)进行优化。
为了评价透明度和IR吸收能力,测定该聚碳酸酯片的透光率和雾度(按照ASTM D1003)。得到的雾度值为10%。该片的透光率表示于图13。透光率从UV区升高,在630纳米波长处达到70%以上,在1200纳米处下降到3.5%以下。这说明本聚碳酸酯片在可见光谱区的高透明度和在近红外区的高吸收能力。因此这种类型的片材适合用作热绝缘片材。
实施例8
将2.25克二水合草酸铁(II)溶解于29.3克水中。称取4克Aerosil200(Degussa-Huels AG,DE)并将草酸铁溶液加入。固体在100℃干燥12小时,然后在空气中在500℃加热10小时,使草酸铁分解,形成氧化铁粒子。将所得的氧化铁-二氧化硅复合材料粉末进行干磨。使用在实施例3的条件下用Pulverisette2磨机。
按照实施例5的方法试验颜料的颜色性质。
图14和图15表明了以本发明的复合粒子为基础的油漆的有利性质。这些图显示在黑色和白色基材上的油漆涂层的漫反射率是波长的函数。
在黑色基材上的该油漆的反射率(图14)仅与波长稍有关系,在400纳米-800纳米范围内在14%以下。在白色基材上(图15),反射率从400纳米波长处的2%以下上升到720纳米处的75%。这表明了以含有负载的氧化铁颜料的复合粒子为基础的高度透明的油漆具有低的散射力和高的吸收能力。
实施例9
为了与通过混合在二氧化硅存在下分解草酸铁产生的分散体或体系制得的复合材料作比较,用溶胶-凝胶法制备了含有氧化铁/二氧化硅固体。在该溶胶-凝胶法合成中,两种物质是通过前体的反应同时形成的。
制备方法叙述在文献中(G.Concas,G.Ennas,D.Gatteschi,A.Musinu,G.Piccaluga,C.Sangregorio,G.Spano,J.L.Stanger,D.Zedda,Chem.Mater.1998,10,495)。将5.7克九水合硝酸铁溶解在18.4克水中。将20.8克四乙氧基甲硅烷(TEOS)溶解在17.7克乙醇中。使硝酸铁溶液凝固,搅拌下加入TEOS溶液。搅拌1小时后,pH值为0.9。将透明的黄色溶胶倾入塑料烧杯中并在空气中储存9天。然后将这样形成的固体凝胶依次在60℃干燥2天,在80℃干燥2天,在100℃干燥2天。然后将样品在800℃煅烧过夜(在空气中回火)。
将所得的氧化铁-二氧化硅复合材料粉末进行干磨。使用在实施例3的条件下用Pulverisette2磨机。在这个情况下研磨时间依然是30分钟。
复合粒子的颜色性质如实施例3那样进行试验。
图16和图17表明了以本发明的复合粒子为基础的油漆的有利性质。这些图显示在黑色和白色基材上的油漆涂层的漫反射率是波长的函数。
在黑色基材上的该油漆的反射率(图6)几乎与波长无关,在400纳米-800纳米范围内的变化在2.5%以下。在白色基材上(图17),反射率从400纳米波长处的10%以下升高到800纳米处的90%。这表明了以含有负载的氧化铁颜料的复合粒子为基础的油漆具有低的散射力和高的吸收能力。
比较实施例
为了证明本发明复合粒子的有效性,按照实施例1和2的方法制备以氧化铁颜料为基础的油漆,但没有将颜料粒子涂覆在载体粒子上。
按照实施例1制备氧化铁的分散体。
按这个方法将未负载的颜料掺混到油漆中去,得到了模糊的膜和暗淡的色调。图18和19分别说明了这种类型的漆膜在黑色和白色基材上的反射率。为了比较的目的而示出的测量曲线表明,由于聚集的颜料具有更高的散射作用,黑色基材上的油漆具有较高的反射率。相反,可以察觉到在白色基材上油漆的反射比较低,相应于暗淡的色调(图19)。该测量曲线证实了本发明含有复合粒子的油漆在颜色性质上的明显的优点。下表对于用Perkin Elmer Lambdan 900比色计测得的CIELAB值进行比较。

Claims (15)
1.复合粒子,它包括粘附着于初级粒度平均为1纳米-200纳米的固体无机或有机无色载体粒子上的初级粒度平均为1纳米-100纳米,优选1纳米-50纳米的无机和/或有机颜料粒子,其特征在于,所述颜料初级粒子基本上不与其它颜料粒子聚集并且基本上彼此之间保持着某种最小的距离,该距离一般至少应为所述粒子直径的四分之一。
2.复合粒子,它包括被颗粒状或固体的无机或有机涂料包封的初级粒度平均为1纳米-100纳米,优选1纳米-50纳米的无机和/或有机颜料粒子,该壳的涂层厚度一般至少为所述颜料初级粒子直径的八分之一。
3.复合粒子,它包括粘附着于初级粒度平均为1纳米-200纳米的固体无机或有机无色载体粒子上的初级粒度平均为1纳米-100纳米,优选1纳米-50纳米的无机和/或有机颜料粒子的团粒,其特征在于,所述颜料粒子的团粒基本上小于100纳米,优选小于50纳米,并且彼此之间一般保持着某种最小的距离,该距离一般应为所述团粒直径的四分之一。
4.复合粒子,它包括被颗粒状或固体的无机或有机涂料包封的初级粒度平均为1纳米-100纳米,优选1纳米-50纳米的无机和/或有机颜料粒子的团粒,所述团粒平均小地100纳米,所述涂层的总厚度一般至少为所述团粒直径的八分之一。
5.复合材料,其特征在于,它含有权利要求1-4所述的复合粒子的混合物,所述的复合粒子由初级粒度平均为1纳米-100纳米的各种无机和有机颜料粒子构成。
6.复合材料,其特征在于,它含有权利要求1-3所述的复合粒子的混合物,所述的复合粒子由初级粒度平均为1纳米-200纳米的各种无机或有机的无色载体粒子材料构成。
7.复合材料,其特征在于,它含有权利要求2-4所述的复合粒子的混合物,所述的复合粒子由各种用于包封粒子的无机和有机的无色材料构成。
8.如权利要求1-7所述的复合材料,其特征在于,它含有选自金属和半导体的氧化物、氮化物、磷化物和硫化物,铝酸盐,氧化铁和羟基氧化铁,氧化铬,硫化镉、硒化镉,硫硒化镉,钒酸铋,铬酸盐颜料,群青颜料,铁蓝颜料和混合的相颜料的无机颜料。
9.如权利要求1-7所述的复合材料,其特征在于,它含有能吸收近红外区或太阳红外区的红外辐射的初级粒子。
10.如权利要求1-7所述的复合材料,其特征在于,它含有选自掺杂的材料的无机颜料。
11.如权利要求1-10所述的复合材料,其特征在于,所述的载体材料或包封材料在可见光谱区的实数折射率为1.3-1.9。
12.如权利要求1-10所述的复合材料用于透明着色或光吸收的目的的用途,其特征在于,要与所述的复合材料掺混的基质所具有的折射率与所述复合材料的折射率的差别小于0.3个单位。
13.含有如权利要求1-11所述的复合材料的表面涂料。
14.含有如权利要求1-11所述的复合材料的塑料。
15.用如权利要求13所述的涂料涂覆的基材。
