Description

基于会话发起协议(SIP)的用户平面位置服务
本申请是申请日为2007年11月26日的、申请号为200780049356.2(国际申请号为PCT/US2007/024405)以及发明名称为“基于会话发起协议(SIP)的用户平面位置服务”的发明专利申请的分案申请。
本申请要求2006年11月28日提交的标题为“User PlaneLocation Service over Session Initiation Protocol(SIP)”的美国临时申请No.60/861,267的优先权，在此特意以引用方式将其全部内容并入本文。
技术领域
本发明一般涉及无线长途运营商、因特网服务供应商(ISP)以及信息内容传递服务/供应商和长途运营商。更确切地说，本发明涉及无线业界的位置服务。
背景技术
关于订户的位置信息在无线网络中日益变得可用。位置信息涉及无线设备的绝对坐标。
图4示出了常规的位置服务(LCS)请求。
确切地说，如图4所示，位置服务器106从核心网节点(例如从移动交换中心(MSC)110)请求关于特定移动订户(MS)的位置信息。所请求的关于特定无线设备(MS)的信息可以包括，例如，连接、分离和位置区域更新。位置服务器106还可以从分组数据节点(例如SGSN、GGSN或PDSN)请求关于无线设备的信息(比如连接、分离和/或位置区域更新)或者帮助该设备计算x/y方向。典型情况下，向归属位置寄存器(HLR)请求关于特定无线设备的位置信息。

安全用户平面定位(SUPL)是基于标准的协议，其开发目的是为了允许移动手持机客户端与位置服务器通信，例如，如图4的步骤1中所示。SUPL规范由开放移动联盟(OMA)标准工作组定义。参考OMA安全用户平面定位体系结构文档OMA-AD-SUPL-V1_0-20060127-C来获得关于OMA SUPL呼叫流的更多细节；以及参考OMA用户平面定位协议文档OMA-TS-ULP-V1_0-20060127-C。OMA SUPL版本1规定了两种基本类型的呼叫流：(1)SUPL网络发起的(NI)呼叫流，和(2)SUPL装置发起的(SI)呼叫流。按照SUPL标准，会话ID具有包括服务器和手持机部分的唯一值。
图5示出了对于由SUPL代理发起的SUPL位置请求，典型的OMA移动装置终止的呼叫流。
具体地说，如图5所示，消息在驻留在网络中的SUPL代理802、装置基准服务器804、SUPL服务器806、PPG 808和SUPL终端(SET)812之间传递。
SUPL服务器(或SUPL位置平台(SLP))806包括SUPL位置中心(SLC)和SUPL定位中心(SPC)。移动设备在图5中被一般化为支持SUPL的终端(SET)812。SLC协调网络中SUPL通信的操作，以及控制SPC组件。SPC向支持SUPL的终端(SET)812提供全球定位系统(GPS)辅助数据，并对SET 812进行精确的位置计算。
网络发起的位置请求820经由MLP接口到达SUPL服务器806。处理这种网络发起请求的SUPL服务器806需要向SET 812发送触发消息(SUPL INIT消息)822，以便验证和发起SUPL定位会话828。触发消息822被作为来自PPG 808的推送消息824(或者作为来自SMSC/MC的SMS消息)发送到SET 812。此时，SET 812需要建立到SUPL服务器806的安全TCP/IP连接，以便响应SUPL定位请求。
对于网络发起的基于端到端IP的位置服务，当位置服务器需要找到给定目标的联系信息(例如IP地址)时，位置服务器向该目标发送触发消息，以允许该目标建立与位置服务器的会话。在WAP推送/SMS消息收发机制和作为传输协议的TCP之上建立基于常规IP的用户平面位置服务(例如OMA SUPL)，以便发起移动装置终止的定位过程。
存在一些这样的场景：用户平面位置服务的常规使用行不通或者作用不佳。
例如，在其中目标设备具有经由例如WLAN、LAN或DSL的因特网接入的一种场景下，位置服务器可能无法通过使用SMS、WAP推送来发起定位。在位置服务器无法确定目标设备的IP地址以及目标设备所连接的网络不支持利用SMS或WAP推送消息收发的正确的相互作用时，尤为如此。
第二个实例涉及基于IP上的语音通信(VoIP)的紧急呼叫(在无线业界中存在一些变形，例如3GPP标准中的IMS紧急呼叫和3GPP2标准中的MMD紧急呼叫，IETF将其一般地称为SIP呼叫)。这种场景描述了已经与服务网络建立了SIP会话的紧急呼叫。在紧急呼叫期间，适当的公共安全应答点(PSAP)可能需要与紧急呼叫者有关的更新的位置信息。
本申请的发明人认识到，使用WAP推送/SMS消息收发的现有机制可能不是有效的和可靠的，因为WAP推送/SMS消息收发是建立在存储-转发机制上的。换言之，在紧急呼叫结束前，不保证位置服务请求的触发将会被传递至目标。
发明内容
本发明介绍了一种方法和一种机制，所述方法和机制允许位置服务器通过即时消息，或者作为替代，如果已经建立了多媒体会话就通过现有的SIP会话，对支持用户平面的设备发起用户平面位置服务(例如SUPL)过程。

会话发起协议(SIP)是因特网工程任务组(IETF)标准协议，用于发起涉及多媒体元素(比如视频、语音、聊天、游戏、虚拟现实等)的交互式用户会话。在IETF标准草案(RFC)2543中规定了SIP。如同HTTP或SMTP，SIP工作在开放系统互连(OSI)通信模型的应用层中。SIP也可以用于将参与者邀请到不一定涉及发起者的会话中。因为SIP支持名称映射和重定向服务，所以它可以让用户从任何位置发起和接收通信和服务，并且让网络识别这些用户，无论他们身在何处。SIP是请求-响应协议，处理来自客户端的请求和来自服务器的响应。用SIP统一资源定位符(URL)识别参与者。请求可以通过任何传输协议，比如UDP、SCTP或TCP发送。SIP确定会话要使用的端系统、通信媒介和媒介伙伴，以及被呼叫方参与通信的愿望。一旦这些得到保证，SIP便在通信的每一端建立呼叫参数，并且处理呼叫转移和终止。

在所述位置服务器处经由即时消息服务器向目标设备发起即时消息位置请求；以及
通过用户平面位置服务会话来检索与所述目标设备相关联的位置信息。
2.根据权利要求1所述的用于获得订户位置的方法，还包括：
通过可扩展消息处理现场协议XMPP来发起所述用户平面位置服务会话。
3.根据权利要求1所述的用于获得订户位置的方法，其中：
所述即时消息位置请求通过SIP INFO消息发出到所述目标设备。
4.根据权利要求1所述的用于获得订户位置的方法，其中：
针对所述即时消息位置请求，使用SIP消息作为用户平面位置服务过程的传输消息来克服否则由网络安全性引起的问题。
5.根据权利要求4所述的用于获得订户位置的方法，其中：
所述否则由网络安全性引起的问题是防火墙。
6.根据权利要求1所述的用于获得订户位置的方法，其中，
与订户有关的呼叫是紧急呼叫。
7.根据权利要求1所述的用于获得订户位置的方法，其中：
