背景技术

该系统100包括导航设备5,该导航设备5被配置为根据所存储的移动电话1A-1C中的可用的一个移动电话的规范信息来建立与该可用的一个移动电话的一个蓝牙连接2。然后导航设备5经由已建立的蓝牙连接2来建立与服务器15(通过虚线30示出)的传输层连接,蓝牙连接2为导航设备5提供与服务器15的一条通信路径。
为了使导航设备5与远程服务器15的通信机会最大化,对于导航设备5,优选的是使用移动电话,而不考虑该移动电话是否支持经由其无线电信网络的分组数据服务连接。例如,所示出的移动电话1A不支持分组数据服务连接(或者,移动电话1A的用户计划不包括经由无线电信网络26的分组数据服务),然而该移动电话1A仍可被导航设备5用于因特网协议网络访问,如下段将描述的。

可使用申请号为No 12/752,999、代理人案号为no44375-0131的美国专利“AUTOMATIC GAIN CONTROL IN A PERSONAL NAVIGATIONDEVICE”中所描述的原理来调谐经由传输层连接30的传送,该美国专利在此以全文引用的方式全部纳入。应理解,这样的调谐是完全可选的。

一旦检测到一个触发事件,软件8将该触发事件与表格39进行比较,该表格39将已知触发事件与已知蓝牙规范进行映射。在导航设备5与任何移动电话配对之前,表格39中的表目可被预先确定,并且可不时地随着服务器15或导航设备5的启动而被更新。
此外,根据与触发事件的通信,与每一事件相关联的规范可被排序在表39中。例如,对于请求诸如下载图片之类的相对大的文件大小的传输的事件,主要规范可包括基本图像规范(BIP)。次要规范可包括免提规范(HFP),该规范使得图片能够以合成语音的形式被下载,然后经由解调被恢复。对于请求诸如飞行信息之类的相对小的文件大小的传输的事件,主要规范可包括用于发送文本消息的任何蓝牙规范。次要规范可包括HFP,HFP将使得飞行信息能够以合成语音的形式被下载,然后经由解调恢复。在导航设备与任何移动电话配对之前,所述排序可被预确定,随后在任何时间被调整。
多种因素可被用于排序每一事件类型的已知蓝牙规范。所述因素包括:带内通信相对于分组数据通信的成本,诸如触发事件是否是高带宽应用或低带宽应用之类的应用请求,或者任何其他因素。所述排序可被动态地调整,以考虑用户的偏好,例如如果用户指示连接太慢,则可调整该排序。此外,某些移动电话存储了用于用户体验的制造商规格,该制造商规格可被导航设备5访问,并且基于当前使用的移动电话,也被用于动态地调整排序。
所述触发事件与表格39的比较,识别蓝牙规范的一个已排序子集。然后这些已识别的排序规范与对应于可用的电话的表格38的表目进行比较。相关表格38的表目中所存在的最高排序的规范被用于在过程45中建立蓝牙连接。
应理解,基于对应的移动电话是否支持分组数据服务连接(该表格的最右列),使用SDP 43所发现的某些支持的蓝牙规范可从前一段落中所描述的比较中排除。例如,如果移动电话不支持分组数据服务连接,则某些蓝牙规范,例如,基本图像规范(BIP),可从该比较中排除,即使该移动电话支持该蓝牙规范。这是为了防止导航设备5以一种移动电话31不能经由其无线电信网络通信的格式发送数据至该移动电话31。

前面所讨论的原理,除了被应用至参考图1-图3中所讨论的实施例以外,还可被应用至其他实施例中,例如,示例性系统400包括用软件58编码的有蓝牙能力的设备55,该软件58被配置为建立与移动电话51A-51C中可用的一个移动电话的蓝牙连接52。所建立的蓝牙连接52为设备55提供了到远程网络57的一个通信路径,如虚线60所示出的。

Claims (20)
1.一种使用指令编码的处理器可读媒介,一旦执行所述指令,则导致:
将一个导航设备与一个移动电话配对,并且发现由所述移动电话支持的蓝牙规范;
将所述移动电话的标识符与所支持的蓝牙规范映射在所述导航设备的存储器中;
根据一触发事件来过滤映射在所述存储器中的所述蓝牙规范;
使用已过滤的蓝牙规范中的一个规范,在所述导航设备和所述移动电话之间建立一个蓝牙连接;
经由已建立的蓝牙连接以及与所述移动电话相关联的无线电信网络来建立一个话音信道类型的传输层连接;以及
将已接收的数字位流调制为对于不同的位值具有不同的频率音调的上传的连续音频信号,或者解调已接收的具有不同频率音调的下载的连续音频信号,其中所述频率音调被选择,从而不被运行在所述无线电信网络中的声码器所阻碍地穿过所述无线电信网络的无线话音信道,以及其中所述上传或下载的连续音频信号,经由已建立的传输层连接被通信至一个远程服务器或者被通信来自于一个远程服务器。

与所述移动电话中的当前可用的一个移动电话建立一个蓝牙连接,该蓝牙连接通过从所述导航设备的存储器中的与所述当前可用的移动电话相关联的蓝牙规范中进行选择来建立;
根据所选择的蓝牙规范来建立所述蓝牙连接;以及
使用已建立的蓝牙连接来上传信息至所述远程服务器,或下载来自所述远程服务器的信息。
4.权利要求1所述的处理器可读媒介,其中所述已建立的蓝牙连接包括多个下层连接中的一个连接,所述下层连接使得允许所述导航设备和所述远程服务器之间的所述传输层连接。
5.权利要求4所述的处理器可读媒介,其中所述下层连接中的另一个连接,包括从所述移动电话延伸以及延伸穿过所述无线电信网络的一个下层连接。
6.权利要求1所述的处理器可读媒介,其中所述导航设备的存储器存储一个将触发事件类型映射至蓝牙规范的表格,且一旦执行所述指令,则导致:
将所述触发事件与所述表格中的所述触发事件类型进行比较,以识别一个蓝牙规范排序;以及
使用已识别的蓝牙规范排序来过滤所述已发现的蓝牙规范。
7.权利要求6所述的处理器可读媒介,其中一旦执行所述指令,则导致:
如果试图使用最高排序的已过滤蓝牙规范来建立一个蓝牙连接失败时,则试图使用下一个最高排序的已过滤蓝牙规范来建立一个蓝牙连接。
8.一种方法,包括:
在有蓝牙能力的设备的存储器中为一个移动电话存储一个标识符;
使用所述有蓝牙能力的设备,与所述移动电话进行配对,并且发现由所述移动电话支持的蓝牙规范;
将用于每一所支持的蓝牙规范的标识符存储在所述有蓝牙能力的设备的存储器中,其中将所存储的所支持的蓝牙规范的标识符与在所述有蓝牙能力的设备的存储器中所存储的所述移动电话的标识符相关;
响应于一个触发事件,识别一个可用的移动电话,并且将所述可用的移动电话的标识符与所述有蓝牙能力的设备的存储器进行比较;
根据所检测的触发事件,过滤由所述比较所识别的蓝牙规范;
使用已过滤的蓝牙规范中的一个规范,在所述有蓝牙能力的设备和所述移动电话之间建立一个蓝牙连接;
建立经由已建立的蓝牙连接以及对应于所述移动电话的无线电信网络延伸的一个传输层连接;以及
经由已建立的传输层连接而在所述有蓝牙能力的设备和一个远程网络之间交换通信。
9.权利要求8所述的方法,进一步包括:
确定所述移动电话是否能经由所述无线电信网络而实施一个分组数据服务连接;
如果未能实施所述分组数据服务连接,则将一个已接收的数字位流调制为一个对于不同位值具有不同频率音调的上传的连续音频信号,或者使用同带信号传输调制解调器解调一个具有不同频率音调的已接收的下载的连续音频信号,其中所述频率音调被选择,从而不被运行在所述无线电信网络中的声码器所阻碍地穿过所述无线电信网络的无线话音信道,以及其中所述上传或下载的连续音频信号,经由所述已建立的蓝牙连接被通信至一个远程服务器或者被通信来自于一个远程服务器;以及
如果能够实施所述分组数据服务连接,则独立于所述同带信号传输调制解调器来与所述远程服务器交换信息。
10.权利要求8所述的方法,其中一旦执行所述指令,则导致:
将所述触发事件与一个将触发事件类型映射至蓝牙规范的表格进行比较;以及
根据所述比较结果,过滤映射在所述存储器中的蓝牙规范。
11.权利要求10所述的方法,其中所述过滤识别一个主要蓝牙规范和一个次要蓝牙规范。
12.一种使用指令编码的有蓝牙能力的设备,一旦执行所述指令,则导致:
配对一个移动电话,并且发现由所述移动电话支持的蓝牙规范;
将所述移动电话的标识符与所支持的蓝牙规范映射在所述有蓝牙能力的设备的存储器中;
根据一个触发事件,过滤映射在所述有蓝牙能力的设备的存储器中的所述蓝牙规范;
使用已过滤的蓝牙规范中的一个规范来建立与所述移动电话的一个蓝牙连接;
建立经由所述蓝牙连接以及对应于所述移动电话的无线传输网络的一个传输层连接;以及
经由已建立的传输层连接来接收或发送从所述有蓝牙能力的设备至一个远程网络的通信。
13.权利要求12所述的有蓝牙能力的设备,其中一旦执行所述指令,则导致:
根据所述移动电话是否能经由所述无线电信网络来建立一个分组数据类型的传输连接,而使用一个话音数据蓝牙规范来建立所述蓝牙连接。
14.权利要求12所述的有蓝牙能力的设备,其中一旦执行所述指令,则导致:
无论所述有蓝牙能力的设备何时与一个新移动电话配对,都发现由所述新移动电话支持的蓝牙规范;以及
为所述新移动电话在所述有蓝牙能力的设备的存储器中添加一个新的表目,所述新的表目将所述新移动电话的标识符映射至与所述新移动电话相关联的所发现的蓝牙规范。
15.权利要求14所述的有蓝牙能力的设备,其中一旦执行所述指令,则导致:
与所述移动电话中的当前可用的一个移动电话建立一个蓝牙连接,通过从所述有蓝牙能力的设备的存储器中与所述当前可用的移动电话相关联的蓝牙规范中进行选择来建立所述蓝牙连接;
根据所选择的蓝牙规范来建立所述蓝牙连接;以及
使用已建立的蓝牙连接来上传所述信息至所述远程服务器,或从所述远程服务器下载所述信息。
16.权利要求12所述的有蓝牙能力的设备,其中一旦执行所述指令,则导致:
确定所述移动电话是否支持经由所述无线电信网络的分组数据服务连接;以及
根据所述确定结果,过滤映射在所述有蓝牙能力的设备的存储器中的所述蓝牙规范。
17.权利要求12所述的有蓝牙能力的设备,其中一旦执行所述指令,则导致:
将所述触发事件与一个将触发事件映射至蓝牙规范的表格进行比较;
根据所述比较,识别所述蓝牙规范的一个子集;
使用所识别的子集,过滤在所述有蓝牙能力的设备的存储器中被指示为由所述移动电话支持的蓝牙规范。
18.权利要求12所述的有蓝牙能力的设备,其中一旦执行所述指令,则导致:
根据所述比较,识别所述蓝牙规范的一个排序子集;以及
使用所识别的排序子集,过滤在所述有蓝牙能力的设备的存储器中被指示为由所述移动电话支持的蓝牙规范。
19.权利要求12所述的有蓝牙能力的设备,其中所述触发事件对应于经由所述有蓝牙能力的设备的用户接口所接收的一个输入。
20.权利要求12所述的有蓝牙能力的设备,其中所述触发事件独立于经由所述有蓝牙能力的设备的用户接口所接收的任何输入而生成。
