Abstract
A partition system may include one or more panels. A panel may be constructed using blow-molded plastic. A panel may include one or more depressions, which may be aligned with one or more depressions on an opposing side of the panel.
The depressions may provide additional structural integrity for a panel. The depressions on opposing sides of the panel may extend toward and engage each other. The panels may include patterns with which one or more depressions may intersect. The panels may include symmetric patterns on opposing sides. The partition system may include one or more connectors adapted to receive a portion of one or more panels. The partition system may include one or more feet that may be attached to one or more panels. The panels may include one or more reinforcing members of various shapes disposed proximate one or more edges of a panel.
The depressions may provide additional structural integrity for a panel. The depressions on opposing sides of the panel may extend toward and engage each other. The panels may include patterns with which one or more depressions may intersect. The panels may include symmetric patterns on opposing sides. The partition system may include one or more connectors adapted to receive a portion of one or more panels. The partition system may include one or more feet that may be attached to one or more panels. The panels may include one or more reinforcing members of various shapes disposed proximate one or more edges of a panel.
Claims (30)
1. A partition system comprising a first blow-molded plastic panel including two opposing sides, the two opposing sides comprising:
a first side including a plurality of depressions formed on the first side, the plurality of depressions formed on the first side being adapted to strengthen the first blow-molded plastic panel;
and a second side including a plurality of depressions formed on the second side, the plurality of depressions formed on the second side being adapted to strengthen the first blow-molded plastic panel; and a second blow-molded plastic panel including two opposing sides, the two opposing sides comprising:
a third side including a plurality of depressions formed on the third side, the plurality of depressions formed on the third side being adapted to strengthen the second blow-molded plastic panel; and a fourth side including a plurality of depressions formed on the fourth side, the plurality of depressions formed on the fourth side being adapted to strengthen the second blow-molded plastic panel;
wherein each of the plurality of depressions formed on the first side is generally aligned with at least one of plurality of depressions formed on the second side and wherein each of the plurality of depressions formed on the third side is generally aligned with at least one of plurality of depressions formed on the fourth side.
a first side including a plurality of depressions formed on the first side, the plurality of depressions formed on the first side being adapted to strengthen the first blow-molded plastic panel;
and a second side including a plurality of depressions formed on the second side, the plurality of depressions formed on the second side being adapted to strengthen the first blow-molded plastic panel; and a second blow-molded plastic panel including two opposing sides, the two opposing sides comprising:
a third side including a plurality of depressions formed on the third side, the plurality of depressions formed on the third side being adapted to strengthen the second blow-molded plastic panel; and a fourth side including a plurality of depressions formed on the fourth side, the plurality of depressions formed on the fourth side being adapted to strengthen the second blow-molded plastic panel;
wherein each of the plurality of depressions formed on the first side is generally aligned with at least one of plurality of depressions formed on the second side and wherein each of the plurality of depressions formed on the third side is generally aligned with at least one of plurality of depressions formed on the fourth side.
2. The partition system of Claim 1:
wherein the first side includes one or more lines formed on the first side and wherein the one or more lines formed on the first side intersect at least at portion of one or more of the plurality of depressions formed on the first side and wherein the one or more lines formed on the first side comprise at least one of a ridge and a channel.
wherein the first side includes one or more lines formed on the first side and wherein the one or more lines formed on the first side intersect at least at portion of one or more of the plurality of depressions formed on the first side and wherein the one or more lines formed on the first side comprise at least one of a ridge and a channel.
3. The partition system of Claim 1:
wherein the first side includes one or more lines formed on the first side and wherein the one or more lines formed on the first side intersect at least at portion of one or more of the plurality of depressions formed on the first side.
wherein the first side includes one or more lines formed on the first side and wherein the one or more lines formed on the first side intersect at least at portion of one or more of the plurality of depressions formed on the first side.
4. The partition system of Claim 1 wherein the first blow-molded plastic panel is configured to be positioned in a generally upright orientation and the second blow-molded plastic panel is configured to be positioned in a generally upright orientation.
5. The partition system of Claim 1:
wherein the first side includes one or more lines formed on the first side and wherein the one or more lines formed on the first side intersect at least at portion of one or more of the plurality of depressions formed on the first side;
wherein the second side includes one or more lines formed on the second side and wherein the one or more lines formed on the second side intersect at least at portion of one or more of the plurality of depressions formed on the second side;
wherein the third side includes one or more lines formed on the third side and wherein the one or more lines formed on the third side intersect at least at portion of one or more of the plurality of depressions formed on the third side;
and wherein the fourth side includes one or more lines formed on the fourth side and wherein the one or more lines formed on the fourth side intersect at least at portion of one or more of the plurality of depressions formed on the fourth side.
wherein the first side includes one or more lines formed on the first side and wherein the one or more lines formed on the first side intersect at least at portion of one or more of the plurality of depressions formed on the first side;
wherein the second side includes one or more lines formed on the second side and wherein the one or more lines formed on the second side intersect at least at portion of one or more of the plurality of depressions formed on the second side;
wherein the third side includes one or more lines formed on the third side and wherein the one or more lines formed on the third side intersect at least at portion of one or more of the plurality of depressions formed on the third side;
and wherein the fourth side includes one or more lines formed on the fourth side and wherein the one or more lines formed on the fourth side intersect at least at portion of one or more of the plurality of depressions formed on the fourth side.
6. The partition system of Claim 5 wherein the one or more lines formed on the first side are generally symmetrical to the one or more lines formed on the second side.
7. The partition system of Claim 5 wherein the one or more lines formed on the first side are generally symmetrical to the one or more lines formed on the second side and wherein the one or more lines formed on the third side are generally symmetrical to the one or more lines formed on the fourth side.
8. The partition system of Claim 1 wherein the first side includes one or more lines formed on the first side and wherein the one or more lines formed on the first side intersect at one or more intersection locations and wherein at least one of the plurality of depressions formed on the first side is disposed proximate at least one of the one or more intersection locations.
9. The partition system of Claim 1 further comprising:
a connector including one or more flanges forming a first receiving portion and a second receiving portion;
the first receiving portion sized and configured to securely receive at least a portion of first blow-molded plastic panel;
the second receiving portion sized and configured to securely receive at least a portion of second blow-molded plastic panel.
a connector including one or more flanges forming a first receiving portion and a second receiving portion;
the first receiving portion sized and configured to securely receive at least a portion of first blow-molded plastic panel;
the second receiving portion sized and configured to securely receive at least a portion of second blow-molded plastic panel.
10. The partition system of Claim 1 further comprising:
a connector including a plurality flanges adapted to engage a plurality of grooves formed in at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel.
a connector including a plurality flanges adapted to engage a plurality of grooves formed in at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel.
11. The partition system of Claim 1 further comprising:
a first connector including a plurality flanges adapted to align with and mate with at least one channel formed proximate an edge of the first blow-molded plastic panel and adapted to align with and mate with at least one channel formed proximate an edge of the second blow-molded plastic panel.
a first connector including a plurality flanges adapted to align with and mate with at least one channel formed proximate an edge of the first blow-molded plastic panel and adapted to align with and mate with at least one channel formed proximate an edge of the second blow-molded plastic panel.
12. The partition system of Claim 1 further comprising:
a first connector adapted to engage a top portion of the first blow-molded plastic panel and adapted to engage a top portion of the second blow-molded plastic panel; and a second connector including adapted to engage a bottom portion of the first blow-molded plastic panel and adapted to engage a bottom portion of the second blow-molded plastic panel.
a first connector adapted to engage a top portion of the first blow-molded plastic panel and adapted to engage a top portion of the second blow-molded plastic panel; and a second connector including adapted to engage a bottom portion of the first blow-molded plastic panel and adapted to engage a bottom portion of the second blow-molded plastic panel.
13. The partition system of Claim 1 further comprising:
a first connector including a plurality flanges adapted to engage a first channel formed proximate an edge of the first blow-molded plastic panel and adapted to engage a second one channel formed proximate an edge of the second blow-molded plastic panel; and a second connector including a plurality flanges adapted to engage the first channel and adapted to engage the second channel;
wherein the first connector and the second connector are configured to engage first channel and second channel simultaneously.
a first connector including a plurality flanges adapted to engage a first channel formed proximate an edge of the first blow-molded plastic panel and adapted to engage a second one channel formed proximate an edge of the second blow-molded plastic panel; and a second connector including a plurality flanges adapted to engage the first channel and adapted to engage the second channel;
wherein the first connector and the second connector are configured to engage first channel and second channel simultaneously.
14. The partition system of Claim 1 further comprising:
a first foot adapted to be inserted into a first opening formed in at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel;
a second foot adapted to be inserted into a second opening formed in at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel;
a third foot adapted to be inserted into a third opening formed in at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel; and a fourth foot adapted to be inserted into a fourth opening formed in at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel.
a first foot adapted to be inserted into a first opening formed in at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel;
a second foot adapted to be inserted into a second opening formed in at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel;
a third foot adapted to be inserted into a third opening formed in at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel; and a fourth foot adapted to be inserted into a fourth opening formed in at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel.
15. The partition system of Claim 1 further comprising:
a first foot adapted to receive at least a portion of at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel;
a second foot adapted to receive at least a portion of at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel;
a third foot adapted to receive at least a portion of at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel; and a fourth foot adapted to receive at least a portion of at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel.
a first foot adapted to receive at least a portion of at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel;
a second foot adapted to receive at least a portion of at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel;
a third foot adapted to receive at least a portion of at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel; and a fourth foot adapted to receive at least a portion of at least one of the first blow-molded plastic panel and the second blow-molded plastic panel.
16. The partition system of Claim 1 further comprising:
at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate at least one edge of the first blow-molded plastic panel; and at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate at least one edge of the second blow-molded plastic panel.
at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate at least one edge of the first blow-molded plastic panel; and at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate at least one edge of the second blow-molded plastic panel.
17. A structure for use in a partition system, the structure comprising:
a blow-molded plastic structure including a first surface, a second surface, at least one depression formed on the first surface, at least one depression formed on the .second surface;
the at least one depression formed on the first surface being generally aligned with at least one depression formed on the second surface;
the at least one depression formed on the first surface extending toward the second surface;
the at least one depression formed on the first surface being sized and configured to increase the strength of the blow-molded plastic structure;
the at least one depression formed on the second surface and extending toward the first surface;
the at least one depression formed on the second surface being sized and configured to increase the strength of the blow-molded plastic structure;
wherein the first surface and the second surface are generally opposing surfaces.
a blow-molded plastic structure including a first surface, a second surface, at least one depression formed on the first surface, at least one depression formed on the .second surface;
the at least one depression formed on the first surface being generally aligned with at least one depression formed on the second surface;
the at least one depression formed on the first surface extending toward the second surface;
the at least one depression formed on the first surface being sized and configured to increase the strength of the blow-molded plastic structure;
the at least one depression formed on the second surface and extending toward the first surface;
the at least one depression formed on the second surface being sized and configured to increase the strength of the blow-molded plastic structure;
wherein the first surface and the second surface are generally opposing surfaces.
18. The structure of Claim 17 wherein the first surface and the second surface are generally flat surfaces and are generally parallel with respect to each other.
19. The structure of Claim 17 wherein the at least one depression formed on the first surface comprises a plurality of depressions.
20. The structure of Claim 17 wherein the at least one depression formed on the first surface engages one or more of the at least one depression formed on the second surface.
21. The structure of Claim 17 wherein the at least one depression formed on the first surface engages one or more of the at least one depression formed on the second surface proximate the center of the panel.
22. The structure of Claim 17 wherein the at least one depression formed on the first surface and the at least one depression formed on the first surface have a symmetrical sire and design.
23. The structure of Claim 17 further comprising:
at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate at least one edge of the blow-molded plastic structure.
at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate at least one edge of the blow-molded plastic structure.
24. The structure of Claim 17 further comprising:
at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate at least one edge of the blow-molded plastic structure and having a generally circular shape.
at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate at least one edge of the blow-molded plastic structure and having a generally circular shape.
25. The structure of Claim 17 further comprising:
at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate at least one edge of the blow-molded plastic structure and having a generally planar shape.
at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate at least one edge of the blow-molded plastic structure and having a generally planar shape.
26. The structure of Claim 17 further comprising:
at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate at least one edge of the blow-molded plastic structure and having a generally angled shape.
at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate at least one edge of the blow-molded plastic structure and having a generally angled shape.
27. The structure of Claim 17 further comprising:
at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate an edge of the blow-molded plastic structure and engaging two or more surfaces of the edge of the blow-molded plastic structure.
at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate an edge of the blow-molded plastic structure and engaging two or more surfaces of the edge of the blow-molded plastic structure.
28. The structure of Claim 17 further comprising:
at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate an edge of the blow-molded plastic structure and engaging three or more surfaces of the edge of the blow-molded plastic structure.
at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate an edge of the blow-molded plastic structure and engaging three or more surfaces of the edge of the blow-molded plastic structure.
29. The structure of Claim 17 further comprising:
at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate an edge of the blow-molded plastic structure and engaging four or more surfaces of the edge of the blow-molded plastic structure.
at least one reinforcing member disposed proximate an edge of the blow-molded plastic structure and engaging four or more surfaces of the edge of the blow-molded plastic structure.
30. The structure of Claim 17 further comprising:
at least two reinforcing members each disposed proximate at least one edge of the blow-molded plastic structure.
at least two reinforcing members each disposed proximate at least one edge of the blow-molded plastic structure.
