Description
May 25, 1999 To whom it may concern:
We are seeking a patent (Mr. Peter F. Nelson and Mr. Alastair M. Souter) on the following subject matter:
SUBJECT MATTER:
A cylindrical object made from materials being used presently for absorption of a female's menstrual cycle. This new design of "tampon" wiil have closed leaf-lets or shingles, which, when moistened by the menstrual flow, will flower open - much the same as a pine cone does after it falls from a tree.
OBJECTIVES:
The old method absorbs the menstrual flow of blood but the absorbed blood keeps in contact with the walls of the vagina. The new method, which we hope to obtain a patent for, is much better at removing the flow from the vagina to the core of the new object. Thus, the blood absorbed is absorbed into the centre core of the object. This new object will drastically reduce toxic shock syndrome and will have to be changed less frequently which will be very environmentally friendly.
PREFERRED PRACTICE:
r Used exactly the same as the old method except it won't need to be changed as often small disposal rate - environmentally friendly the blood is removed from the walls of the vagina making the new ob-ject safer ie: Toxic Shock Syndrome FEATURES:
If the new object was viewed from the top it will feature hundreds of small shingles. Like a pine cone once absorption has begun, the shingles which are staggered row by row will open into the walls of the female vagina. This will act like little scoops channelling the flow downward onto the top side of the shingles or scoops, and directing the blood of the menstrual cycle into the core of the new object. Eg. If you shingled a house roof from the ridge down to the eaves and it rained, the rain would be funnelled under the shingles.
