My son got sick of the Astro Boy theme and made me change it, so we looked at the themes and he liked the Jackie Chan theme best -- he is a big fan of Jackie Chan Adventures. I really like the theme, too -- the art reminds me of Lauri Apple, who occasionally does artwork for Wonkette.com. It has the same wacky spirit :)

The design is so childish. Almost stick figures, block buildings, dots for trees, and blobs of clouds don't make for much to look at. If a celebrity is going to do a theme I'd like it to tell me something more about them or about something they are passionate about. For example, what "charity work" is Jackie so "deeply committed" to? This theme just isn't that impressive.

Anyone who has any of his films on video should see the outtakes either at the end of the film or that come with the DVD. He does *all his own stunts* and isn't afraid to repeat things three or four times -- or just *show* the directors/producers what he means! This theme shows that - and I'll have to remember it in case I get tired of my current theme (Aja Tiger).

I've had 'Theme of the Day' set for a while, some of the themes have been pleasant, some positively interesting. This is the first that made me laugh! I didn't realise it was made/endorsed by Jackie Chan, but my first thoughts when I saw: "Sorry Jackie, we didn't get all that. Can you do it again?" "Sure!" were that the artist has 100% captured the essence of Chan! I don't see it as a stroke of arrogance, I see it as remarkably accurate. Any Chan-fan will have watched the numerous out-takes during the credits of his films, and will easily identify with the theme. This one's a keeper, at least for a while!
