... in San Francisco. I've loved this city for two decades. I go back every chance I get and never tire of it. I haven't explored even a tenth of its riches. Wish I could afford to live there. This is a wonderful photo of SF's beauty from an unusual angle. If it's too pink on your screen, it's the settings on your computer, not the photo. It's a gorgeous coral pink on mine. Stunning!

It is the Bay Bridge!  akadanl@comcast.net - May 4, 2009 - Report this comment

This is a picture of the western span of the Bay Bridge! A little known fact: A suspension bridge is only capable of two towers, like the Golden Gate bridge, however the Bay bridge has four towers on its western span (the fourth tower is hidden in this photo). The concrete pier between the 2nd and 3rd towers is called Morans island and is there as an anchor point. The western span is technically 2 suspension bridges, and Morans Island anchors both bridges. At the time it was built it was the largest concrete pier in the world. I was born and raised in SF, and my grand father helped build this bridge back in the mid 1930's. This is a stunning picture, taken from Treasure Island.

Take time to enjoy!  Anonymous - Mar 26, 2009 - Report this comment

The western span of the bridge is suspension.

that's the golden gate  Anonymous - Mar 19, 2009 - Report this comment

That's the golden gate, because its a suspension, unlike the bay bridge.
