I grew up in Tidewater,Virginia, but spent many a summer @ the Outer Banks as my relatives had a time share there. I find OBX a beautiful and peaceful place that is invigorating. I live near San Francisco now and the bay is nice but nothing like the NC coast. Makes me homesick, please don't delete. Thank you.

I was born and raised on Cedar Island, NC. I now live and have lived in the mountains of NC. Eight hours away from home. It is so beautiful both places, but I just had to have this for my homepage, it is what I call home. Very fond memories!! Thank you so much for this page and don't ever delete it.

Awesome photograph! I graduated from Manteo High School in 91. I miss those lazy days of summer on the outer banks. I live in Myrtle Beach now but nothing compares to the beaches in obx! It calls me often. I will probably end up there again one day! For now, I will enjoy your photo on my homepage! Thanks! Would love to see more.

I live in MA now but my family is from the OuterBanks and I spent every summer there growing up. Cape Hatteras is a very special place for me. Thanks for sharing !

Wow! I was so thrilled to discover the Cape Hatteras theme. I have vacationed in the Outer Banks for nearly 30 years and extensively in the Carribean. The Outer Banks still calls me back each year for it's beauty and such a peaceful place on earth. Please do not ever delete it!

I escaped to Cape Hatteras as much as possible in my 20's. It was the calmest and most peaceful place I have ever been. I appreciate being able to vist it daily thru your art work. Please photograph more areas, its too beautiful not to. THANK YOU!

As a young U.S. Navy sailor, that was the starting and ending point of a cruise. It also was a great place to relax. You could get on the beach at Sand Bridge in Virginia with your jeep and come all the way to the Great OBX and never see cililization. What an amazing place to be. Thank you for bring back wonderful memories.

I just moved to Kentucky after living eight wonderful years on the Outer Banks. Kentucky is a very beautiful place to live but there is nothing in the world like sitting on the beach and loosing yourself in the ocean. Thank you for posting this picture, it takes me back home...

Two summers ago, we made the trek from our land-locked midwestern home to the Outer Banks in our quest to show our young children the beauty of the ocean. The quiet majesty of the Cape and the slow pace of life in a fishing village called us back again this year. The simple joy of watching your three year old son catch his first crab is sheer bliss. It's no wonder more than one resident we met had sold all that they owned and uprooted from whence they came to be a "banker". This beautiful photo brings a smile to my kids' faces everytime we log on; I'm sure it will warm our hearts when the cold Indiana winds start the snow to swirling.

Oh the timelessness of Island living and I do not mean Staten or Long Island. Six days after parking at Hatteras my blood and brain chemistry have slowed to the "Now" and I understand why the Divine One created us...to love the Divine in all the splendor. No it is not Yellowstone or Costa Rica or the Adirondacks but is accessable. English is spoken and there are no black bears going thru your garbage. If you picked this you know what I mean. On Hatteras I can chase a crab on the beach, watch dolphins, hang glide off a 100 ft sand dune, see a million stars or a awesome thundercloud and 10 minutes later go to the cinema, eat Chinese or race a go-cart. One of the bestest balances of God's handiwork and mankind's obssesions I have seen. A ribbon of sand thirty miles out in the Atlantic Ocean.
