Hi, I'm the author of the Gadget. I've just rolled out a fix for broken images that have been a problem for the last few days. Anna, use the settings link (top right-hand corner of the gadget) the enable sunrise/sunset. You need decimal longitude and latitude for this feature.

How do I show sunrise/sunset times?  Anna Anderson - Oct 4, 2011 - Report this comment

Howard, It would be great if I could show sunrise/sunset times as all of the other gadgets for this are space-inefficient. Where do I enter lat/lon? in the city/zip code field? Does it require a specific format (e.g. decimal degree)? Thanks!

The view of the continents is too dull overall to clearly make out where is sunlight and where is darkness. If you want the sunrise and sunset times for your location, you must enter your latitude and longitude. Now how many people know that?
